What is a Chelsea season ticket?

A Chelsea season ticket is one payment for your own seat at every Premier League home game for a season. Chelsea is a west London football club, and its home, Stamford Bridge in Fulham, holds about 40,000 people.

The ticket arrives digitally, on your phone through the Chelsea Official App. You do not need to buy a membership as well, because holders get all the inclusions and discounts of True Blue, one of the club’s paid fan plans.

Chelsea FC Women season tickets are a separate product. They cover all 13 Women’s Super League home games at Stamford Bridge from £10 a game. The prices below are for the men’s team.

How much is a Chelsea season ticket?

A Chelsea season ticket for 2026/27 costs an adult from £700, depending on the stand, according to the club’s ticket prices page. Seniors and juniors pay about half the adult price. These are all eight general admission areas, meaning ordinary seats rather than hospitality.

Area Adult Senior Junior Youth
East Upper £1,095 £545 £545 £820
West Lower £1,055 £525 £525 £790
East Lower South £1,030 £510 £510 £770

Shed Upper £1,030 £510 £510 £770
Matthew Harding Lower £880 £440 £440 £660
Shed Lower £880 £440 £440 £660
East Lower North Family Centre £700 £350 £350 £525

Your discount depends on your age on 31 July 2026. Junior means under 20, youth means under 23 and senior means 66 or over.

What do the stand names mean?

Chelsea names each area after a stand and a tier, a ring of seats. The Matthew Harding Stand and the Shed End are behind the goals. The East and West Stands run along the sides of the pitch.

  • Matthew Harding Lower: the part of the ground where the most vocal home fans gather.
  • Shed End: it also holds the away section, the seats kept for visiting fans.
  • Rail seating: the Matthew Harding Lower and the Shed End have a barrier in front of each seat, for fans who stand.
  • West Stand: only the West Lower is listed. The upper level, Westview, is sold through Club Chelsea, the club’s hospitality service.

Can you pay for a Chelsea season ticket monthly?

Chelsea lets you spread a home season ticket over ten monthly payments through V12 Retail Finance, its finance provider. You apply at checkout. Credit depends on your status and what you can afford, and it is only for UK residents aged 18 and over.

Any account credit, money held on your ticket account, can also go towards the price. Use it before you apply for finance.

How do you get a Chelsea season ticket?

You get a Chelsea season ticket by holding a qualifying membership, earning loyalty points and waiting for the club to contact you. The waitlist is a ranked queue for new seats. Loyalty points are the club’s record of the games you have attended. Follow these steps:

  1. Buy a qualifying membership. True Blue costs £60 a season, True Blue+ £80 and Junior Blue £35 for under-16s.
  2. Go to games. Apply for tickets, and make sure your ticket is scanned at the turnstile, the entry gate.
  3. Renew every year. You must renew your membership annually to keep your position.
  4. Check your points. Sign in to your ticketing account and select the head-and-shoulders icon.
  5. Wait to be contacted. If seats become available, Chelsea contacts the supporters at the top of the waitlist.

The Chelsea membership guide compares every tier, and how to get Chelsea tickets explains the routes to a single game.

How does the Chelsea season ticket waitlist work?

The Chelsea season ticket waitlist ranks eligible members by the loyalty points they earned over a rolling three seasons. Chelsea says this rewards longer-term loyalty rather than one busy season. Offers for 2026/27 used points from 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25.

How many loyalty points do you need for a Chelsea season ticket?

Chelsea publishes no points target for a season ticket, and no average wait. Your place depends on your total against other members. These rules decide your total:

  • Home games: you earn points for each game you attend, if your ticket is scanned. Leeds or Crystal Palace at home are worth three points, and Liverpool one.
  • One award a game: points are given per match, not per ticket.
  • Forwarded and exchange tickets: new for 2026/27, these earn points for the person who attends.
  • Away games: you earn points for buying away tickets.
  • Timing: points usually appear within three working days of a game.

What can you do while you wait for a Chelsea season ticket?

While you wait for a Chelsea season ticket, apply for single games through the application window for each match. Chelsea tells you within four working days whether you were successful. If you lose, you get priority on the ticket exchange before it opens to all members.

A friend’s forwarded seat is another route, and Club Chelsea hospitality is sold separately. If the club offers a general sale, a sale open to everyone, those tickets cost £5 more than member prices.

When do Chelsea season tickets go on sale?

Chelsea season tickets for 2026/27 are not on sale, because renewals and new applications have both closed. Holders had until 5pm on Friday 26 June 2026 to renew, and new seats depend on some becoming available. As of 31 October 2026, the club’s season ticket page gives no dates for 2027/28.

What do you get with a Chelsea season ticket?

A Chelsea season ticket gives you your own seat, priority for away tickets and ways to pass on games you cannot attend.

  • Forwarding: send a seat you cannot use to an eligible member, including a friend on the £15 Ticket Forwarding Membership. A forwarded ticket cannot then be listed for sale.
  • Ticket exchange: Chelsea’s own resale service, where members without a ticket for that game can buy your seat. For Manchester United at home, holders could list from Monday 21 September. The Chelsea ticket exchange guide has the timetable.
  • Away tickets: holders buy before members. For Sunderland away, one ticket per holder went on sale from 10am to 1.30pm on Tuesday 20 October, before members from 2pm. Some away games open first to the club’s UK Away Scheme.
  • Cup games: join the Automatic Cup Scheme and your card is charged game by game for your seat. If you do not join, you can still buy it in a reservation window.
  • Account credit: this can go towards your renewal, away tickets or exchange purchases, but not application window tickets.

There is one limit. Holders do not enter application windows, the short periods when members apply for single-game tickets, unless the club allows extra sales.

What rules must a Chelsea season ticket holder follow?

A Chelsea season ticket holder aged 18 or over must use the seat for at least 13 Premier League home games in 2026/27. The club’s ticketing policy allows up to six unused games a season without consequence. A seat counts as used in three ways:

  • You attend and your ticket is scanned.
  • You share it with an eligible member in your Network, your linked group on the ticket site, and they scan in.
  • You list it on the ticket exchange, even if it does not sell.

If a seat keeps going unused without explanation, the holder may lose the chance to renew. Parents, carers and fans with long-term illnesses can ask for exceptions, and accessible tickets used with a personal assistant are exempt. Chelsea is also bringing in ID checks in phases, so make sure the date of birth on your account is right.

Can you move seats or pass on a Chelsea season ticket?

You can only ask to move seats for set reasons. You must have passed the age limit for the family section, have a medical need, or sit in the East Lower South. Do not renew your old ticket. Send a relocation form to tickets@chelseafc.com instead.

Name changes are at the club’s discretion. The new holder must have been a Chelsea member in 2025/26 or any of the three seasons before, and close family get priority.

Is a Chelsea season ticket worth it?

A Chelsea season ticket is worth it if you will be at Stamford Bridge for most home games for years to come. Bought one game at a time, a Matthew Harding Lower seat costs a member £66 in Category AA, the highest price band, and £28 in Category G, the lowest.

  • Not worth it if: you only manage a handful of games a season. Stay on True Blue, which gives you two chances in every application window, and use the exchange if you lose.
  • Bringing children? Junior Blue includes a waitlist place, and the East Lower North Family Centre is the lowest-priced area. Under-16s must come with someone aged 18 or over.
  • Buying for a family or group? Each holder needs their own email address. One person can then manage everyone’s tickets through the Network.
  • Disabled fans: Chelsea asks for supporting documents, and a Blue Badge alone is not enough. Email access@chelseafc.com, or call the Access Team on 0371 811 2012.
  • Living far away or abroad? Using a seat for 13 games is hard from a distance. A friend’s forwarded seat or Club Chelsea hospitality may suit you better.

What mistakes should you avoid with the Chelsea waitlist?

The main mistakes with the Chelsea waitlist are buying the wrong membership, letting it lapse and missing the ticket scan.

  • Buying CFC Blue: at £45 it gives ticket access but no waitlist place.
  • Buying Ticket Forwarding: at £15 it lets you receive a ticket but earns no points.
  • Letting membership lapse: you lose the position you have built.
  • Missing the scan: points depend on your ticket being scanned at the ground.

How do you get to Stamford Bridge on matchday?

Stamford Bridge is on Fulham Road, London SW6 1HS, and the nearest Tube station is Fulham Broadway on the District line, which has lifts. Chelsea advises against driving, because parking is very limited.

  • Changing at Earl’s Court? Take a Wimbledon-bound train.
  • By Overground: West Brompton and Imperial Wharf are about a 15-minute walk away.
  • By bus: routes 14, 211 and 414 stop on Fulham Road.
  • When to arrive: turnstiles usually open two hours before weekend games and 90 minutes before evening games. Chelsea asks you to be inside 30 minutes before kick-off.
  • Bags and paying: nothing larger than A4, and the stadium has no bag storage. It is also cashless, so bring a card.

The Stamford Bridge seating plan shows where each stand is.
