Chelsea v Aston Villa: date, kick-off and how to watch

Aston Villa visit Stamford Bridge on Monday 21 December 2026 for an 8pm Premier League kick-off, four days before Christmas. At the last official check, the match was not on sale yet at the official seller: Chelsea have yet to announce the members' application window, with dates and price category still to come. For Villa's support, it means a Monday-night trip down from the Midlands.

On Hellotickets, resale listings begin at £225 in the Shortside Upper Tier (checked 5 Nov 2026). Sellers set those prices; member tickets, once the window opens, follow Chelsea's fixed category prices.

The match is scheduled for 8pm on Monday 21 December 2026 at Stamford Bridge, in Fulham, south-west London. A Monday evening start is outside the Saturday 3pm blackout; whether it is shown live depends on the UK broadcasters' selections, which the Premier League publishes in its TV listings.

Turnstiles open 90 minutes before evening kick-offs, and Fulham Road closes to traffic at the same point, so if someone is dropping you off, arrive before then.

How to get Chelsea v Aston Villa tickets

What is known. Chelsea sell each men's home game through a members' application window. True Blue+ (£80), True Blue (£60), CFC Blue (£45) and Junior Blue (£35) members can apply; True Blue and Junior Blue members go into the first allocation, and some tickets are reserved for CFC Blue.

What is not known yet. The window dates and the price category for Villa, which the club gives in the ticket news for each match. For reference, 2026/27 adult member prices for restricted-view seats start at £14 to £27, depending on the category.

How the window works. Applying on the first day brings no advantage, one ticket is allocated per person with up to four per application, and results come by email within four working days. Unsuccessful applicants then get first go at the official ticket exchange, before all members; it closes three hours before kick-off and its sales are non-refundable.

If you are not a member. General sales are rare and cost £5 above member prices. Resale listings on Hellotickets are the other option: sellers choose the price, which can be above face value, so the club's route is usually cheaper if you can use it. Our guide on how to get Chelsea tickets walks through the memberships.

Where to sit at Stamford Bridge

Visiting fans are housed in the Shed End (South Stand), behind the goal on the Fulham Road side. It has two tiers and is shared with Chelsea supporters; recent visiting clubs have been given the lower tier, or both. Aston Villa fans buying on resale should check that a Shed End listing sits in the away section.

Home fans after noise go to the Matthew Harding Stand, the two-tier north end, opened in 1994 and renamed in 1996. Each touchline stand has three tiers: the East Stand with the tunnel and dugouts, the West Stand with executive boxes and hospitality suites. On Hellotickets, Longside listings are in those side stands, Shortside listings behind a goal, and Westview, West View Central and West Stand listings on the west side.

How much are Chelsea v Aston Villa tickets?

Face value depends on the category Chelsea give this match, which has not been announced. Resale seats on Hellotickets start at £225 in the Shortside Upper Tier (checked 5 Nov 2026). Sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay.

Can I buy Chelsea v Aston Villa tickets without being a member?
