Manchester City v Chelsea: date, kick-off and how to watch
Chelsea are at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 12 December 2026 for a 5.30pm Premier League kick-off, and City ration this one. Their first members' sale allowed a single ticket per member, new or existing, and the match sits in the same price level as Spurs and Arsenal, with adult member tickets from £40.
That first sale has closed and members' tickets are sold out for now, so the match is not on sale yet at the official seller until the further release several weeks before kick-off.
In the resale market, seats listed on Hellotickets start at £119 in the Longside Upper Tier (checked 5 Nov 2026).

How to get Manchester City v Chelsea tickets
City sell men's home tickets to Official Members only in 2026/27, keeping general sale for a limited number of matches. For Chelsea, the club route looks like this:
- First members' sale: closed. It was open to new and existing Official Members at one ticket each, and members' tickets are sold out for now.
- Further release: date to come. Several weeks before the match, City put more seats on sale to members, including those Season Ticket Members list on the Ticket Exchange. Keep your membership active and watch the match page.
- Membership costs. Matchday £38, Premium £65 or Junior £20 per season. Season Ticket Members already have the game included.
- Hospitality: on sale. Bars from £220, hospitality packages from £499.
Outside the club, the route is resale. Hellotickets listings are priced by sellers, sometimes above face value, and you see the full price before you pay. If you get into the further release, the member price is usually lower. Our Manchester City Membership guide explains the tiers, and the Chelsea tickets page covers Chelsea's own fixtures.
Good to know before you go
- One ticket eachThe first members' sale allowed a single ticket per member, so friends going together each needed a membership. Check the further release's criteria when City publish them.
- Tap in with your phoneEntry is by NFC mobile ticket on the TAP reader at the turnstile, and the ground is cashless. Bring a charged phone and a bank card.
- Walking backThe city centre is about 35 minutes away on foot by a step-free, lit and signposted route, an alternative to the tram after an evening kick-off.
- Resale deliveryHellotickets sends tickets as soon as it receives them from the seller, which is sometimes just 1–2 days before the event. That is normal for resale.
Where to sit at Etihad Stadium
The away section is in the South Stand, so Chelsea fans share that end with most of City's vocal support, who fill the 4,995 rail seats of the lower tier. Visitors use entrances L1, L2 and L3 and can collect pre-arranged tickets at the South Stand Ticket Office.
For a home or neutral seat, look elsewhere: the Pep Guardiola Stand behind the north goal, expanded by about 7,900 seats and topped by a Skybar, or the touchline stands, the Colin Bell Stand to the west and the East Stand, the Kippax, to the east. On Hellotickets, Shortside covers both ends, Longside the two touchline stands and Central the seats nearest halfway; Lower, Middle and Upper Tier tell you the height.
