Newcastle tickets 2026/27

Members of The Mags, Mags+ or Junior Mags only: how Newcastle's 24-hour ballots and Member Sales work at St. James' Park.

Updated 28 Oct 2026

Newcastle United never hold a general sale for men's home matches. Tickets go only to members of The Mags, Mags+ and Junior Mags, through a 24-hour ballot for each game and then an online Member Sale, and every membership tier has the same chance.

Below, you can follow 13 Newcastle home fixtures at St. James' Park this season. Across them, resale listings on Hellotickets start from £112 (checked 5 Nov 2026).

Coming up first: Newcastle v Arsenal on Saturday 21 November.

The Arsenal ballot has already closed, and the Mags Member Sale for that game opened at 10am on Monday 26 October. For Manchester United, the ballot runs from midday on Monday 2 November to midday on Tuesday 3 November.

How to get Newcastle tickets

How to buy Newcastle tickets (official route)

Newcastle publish the on-sale dates of each home game once the broadcasters' picks are confirmed, then follow the same sequence every time.

1. Join The Mags

Membership is the only way to a standard match ticket. The club sells men's home tickets exclusively to members of The Mags, Mags+ and Junior Mags, and its ballot gives every tier the same chance. Our Newcastle membership guide describes the tiers.

2. Enter the 24-hour ballot

Each match opens with a members' ballot that runs for 24 hours, from midday on a Monday to midday on the Tuesday. Successful lead bookers then have 48 hours to pick seats in the area they chose and pay.

3. Season ticket holders' window

After the ballot, season ticket holders' ticket forwarding and resale opens for that game.

4. The Mags Member Sale

Members who still have no ticket for the match can then join the online Mags Member Sale. The sale runs with a randomised queue, and seats are booked online.

5. The Ticket Exchange after a sell-out

Once a game is sold out, the Mags Member Ticket Exchange lets members buy seats resold by season ticket holders, first come, first served. Seats can appear until three hours before kick-off, so it pays to look again on matchday.

Hospitality and this season's dates

Matchday hospitality is sold separately, in the Platinum Club and Bar 1892 in the Milburn Stand and in corporate spaces such as Wings, Park Grill and The Rooftops with Fenwick. For the Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland on Sunday 6 December and the fixtures after it, on-sale dates had not been published in October; each will go to a Mags members' ballot, then a Member Sale.

Newcastle resale tickets: what to expect, stand by stand

With no public sale, non-members buy on the resale market, and one fixture stands apart. The Tyne-Wear derby is listed far above every other home game, as Newcastle v Sunderland tickets shows. The Arsenal match comes next, ahead of Manchester United, Manchester City on Boxing Day and Chelsea.

Tottenham sits a little lower. Most of the rest, from Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Brentford to Ipswich and Crystal Palace, start at the same level, with Leeds and Coventry just above them.

Within a match, the upper tier behind a goal usually opens the range ("Shortside Upper Tier" on Hellotickets), with the lower tier behind the goal close behind. The Gallowgate Stand carries a label of its own and sits higher, and touchline ("Longside") seats higher again. For the derby, some sellers list seats without naming a section, which leaves the block to them. The away section is in the upper tier at the Leazes end, so check the stand on any upper-tier listing behind a goal.

Sellers set their own prices, which can be well above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay.

St. James' Park: stands, seating and getting there

St. James' Park stands in Newcastle city centre, between Strawberry Place and Barrack Road. It opened in 1892, and the club gives its capacity as 52,719 after this summer's works, which added safe-standing areas on Level 7. The ground is split into a lower tier (Level 1) and an upper tier (Level 7), with premium levels in the Milburn Stand; our St. James' Park seating plan shows the sections.

  • Milburn Stand, the main stand on the west touchline (Barrack Road side), named after Jackie Milburn: directors' box, Platinum Club and Bar 1892, and the Family Area on Level 7 (sections L7A-L7E).
  • Gallowgate Stand, behind the south goal: the traditional home of the more vocal fans.
  • East Stand, the smallest, along the east touchline on the Leazes Terrace side. Its corner with the Gallowgate, the Strawberry Corner, is a safe-standing area and now holds the singing section.
  • Leazes Stand, behind the north goal and formerly the Sir John Hall Stand: the away section is on its Level 7.

St James Metro station is right beside the stadium, Monument is about five minutes' walk and Newcastle Central Station about ten. Haymarket and Eldon Square bus stations are close by. There is no supporter parking at the ground: drivers can use the MetroCentre Park & Ride, and after the match the X50 Soccer Bus leaves from the top of St James' Boulevard.

Tickets are digital only, in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The stadium is cashless, bags larger than A4 are not allowed, no food or drink may be brought in, and alcohol cannot be taken into the seating bowl.

Newcastle away tickets

Visiting supporters are housed high up on Level 7 of the Leazes Stand at the north end, in sections L7F-L7M of the club's plan, reached by 14 flights of stairs. The away turnstiles, 89-94, are on the north side of the ground. It is an upper-tier view, not a pitch-level seat behind the goal.

If you follow Newcastle and buy on resale, treat any upper-tier Leazes listing with care, and look to the Gallowgate, the Milburn Stand or the East Stand for a seat among home supporters.

Frequently asked questions

How much are Newcastle tickets?

Club tickets go at face value only to members of The Mags, Mags+ and Junior Mags, through each match's ballot and Member Sale, so membership comes first. On resale, seats listed on Hellotickets across the home fixtures start from £112 (checked 5 Nov 2026), with the Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland priced far above the rest and the Arsenal match next.

Can I buy Newcastle tickets without a membership?

Not a standard match ticket. Newcastle sell men's home tickets exclusively to members of The Mags, Mags+ and Junior Mags and never hold a general sale; even the Ticket Exchange is for members only. Matchday hospitality is sold separately by the club. Otherwise, resale seats are listed on Hellotickets, where sellers set their own prices and the final price is shown before you pay.

Is it hard to get Newcastle tickets?

It takes membership and some luck. Each game opens with a 24-hour members' ballot, from midday on a Monday to midday on the Tuesday, in which every tier has the same chance. Members who miss out can try the Mags Member Sale, with its randomised queue, and then the Ticket Exchange, where seats can appear until three hours before kick-off.

Where do away fans sit at St. James' Park?

On Level 7, the upper tier, of the Leazes Stand at the north end, in sections L7F-L7M of the club's seating plan. The section is high above the pitch and reached by 14 flights of stairs, and the away turnstiles, numbers 89-94, are on the north side of the ground.

When do Newcastle tickets go on sale?

Match by match, once broadcast picks are confirmed: a 24-hour ballot comes first, then the Mags Member Sale. For Arsenal on Saturday 21 November the ballot has closed and the Member Sale opened at 10am on Monday 26 October. For Manchester United, the ballot runs from midday on 2 November to midday on 3 November, with the Member Sale from 10am on 9 November.

How do I get to St. James' Park?

St James Metro station is right beside the ground, Monument is about five minutes' walk away and Newcastle Central Station about ten. Haymarket and Eldon Square bus stations are also within walking distance. There is no supporter parking, so drivers use the MetroCentre Park & Ride, with the X50 Soccer Bus back from the top of St James' Boulevard after the match.
