NBA tickets

Games in Europe

The NBA's European games are sold as one-off events. For the Manchester game, tickets were released through a free ballot: fans registered through the NBA's Manchester page, selected entrants received a link or code by email and text message, and they bought on Ticketmaster, which ran the ballot jointly with Eastlands Arena Limited. You needed a Ticketmaster account to complete the purchase.

The NBA now says general sale tickets are sold out, while adding that more tickets may become available in the future. Premium packages for the game, called Playmaker, MVP, Legend and Hall of Fame, are sold separately by NBA Experiences and do not need a ballot entry.

Games in the US and Canada

For a game in North America, the home team is the official seller, through its own ticketing, and season ticket members are looked after first. Single-game tickets follow on the team's site, and its own resale marketplace, where it has one, is the safest second-hand route. Buying from the UK works the same way as buying locally, with mobile tickets and prices in US or Canadian dollars.

Watch the time on any listing: tip-off is given in local time, several hours behind the UK on both coasts, so a weekday evening game in the US falls in the small hours here.

For UK fans, the big NBA date of the season is the Manchester game. With the general sale gone, the official options left are the NBA Experiences packages and any further tickets the NBA releases, which it says may happen. The Paris game, three days earlier, is the other European date between the same two teams.

In North America, the season ends with the play-offs and the NBA Finals. Those games are sold by the teams that reach them, at home, once the match-ups are known, so they go on sale at short notice and are served to season ticket members first.

During the regular season, interest peaks for the famous rivalries, for weekend games in the biggest markets and for the nights when the best-known teams are in town. If you are planning a trip, pick the city first and the game second: every team plays dozens of home games over the season, so the calendar usually offers several nights to choose from.

When games are added, every row pairs the lowest Hellotickets listing with the game's official status.

Resale listings for the NBA games on this page start at £156.

Resale prices are set by sellers and can be above face value; the final price is shown before you pay. For buyers abroad, Hellotickets' own wording is: "Every ticket is authenticated. If there's ever an issue, you're protected by our refund policy."

Delivery timing matters if you are flying out for a game. Hellotickets sends tickets as soon as it receives them from the seller, sometimes only 1–2 days before the event, so keep your confirmation and phone to hand during the trip.
