Chelsea membership 2026/27: which tier to buy and how tickets work

Almost everyone at Stamford Bridge needs a membership. Compare the five tiers, see how the application window decides who gets tickets, and pick the right one for you.

At a glance

  • Chelsea has five tiers for 2026/27: Ticket Forwarding £15, Junior Blue £35, CFC Blue £45, True Blue £60 and True Blue+ £80.
  • True Blue and True Blue+ members get two chances in each application window. CFC Blue members get one, and Ticket Forwarding members cannot apply for tickets.
  • Home tickets are allocated at random after each window closes, so applying early does not help. You hear by email within four working days.
  • The biggest games need loyalty points. Chelsea v Liverpool needed 11 or more, which rules out a brand-new member.
  • Memberships end at 5pm on 31 May 2027 and renew automatically once 2027/28 membership is available. Chelsea emails a reminder first, and you can cancel.

Chelsea membership costs £60 a season for True Blue, the main adult tier, and you need a membership to apply for men’s home tickets at Stamford Bridge. Five tiers run from £15 to £80. True Blue and True Blue+ members get two chances in every application window, the club’s ballot for each game.

Every fixture, and how it is being sold, is on the Chelsea tickets page.

How does Chelsea membership work?

Chelsea membership is a paid plan, valid for one season, that lets you apply for men’s home tickets. Chelsea is a west London football club, and its home is Stamford Bridge in Fulham, which holds about 40,000 people.

The club says everyone who attends a game at Stamford Bridge needs a current membership, unless they hold a season ticket. A season ticket is one payment for your own seat at every league game.

Tickets are not sold first come, first served. For each match, members apply during an application window, a set period before the game. Once it closes, tickets are allocated at random. Memberships are sold one season at a time, so 2026/27 is the plan on sale now.

How much is Chelsea membership?

Chelsea membership costs £15 to £80 a season for 2026/27, according to the club’s membership site. The price decides whether you can apply for tickets, how many chances you get and whether you join the season ticket waitlist, the queue for new season tickets.

Tier Price Home tickets Season ticket waitlist
True Blue+ £80 First allocation, plus the CFC Blue window Yes
True Blue £60 First allocation, plus the CFC Blue window Yes
CFC Blue £45 Second allocation, with some tickets set aside for it No
Junior Blue, under-16s £35 Either window, applying with an adult Yes
Ticket Forwarding £15 None. You can only receive tickets No

Every tier except Ticket Forwarding can also use the ticket exchange, Chelsea’s own resale service. True Blue and True Blue+ include a digital matchday programme. True Blue+ adds CFC+, the club’s video service, plus live virtual events. Junior Blue adds CFC+ and a gift pack.

Member discounts Junior Blue CFC Blue True Blue True Blue+
Online store £10 voucher £10 voucher £15 voucher 10% off
Stadium tours 1 free 20% off 2 for 1 2 for 1
Hotel, non-matchdays None listed 20% off 20% off 20% off

The ticket is extra. Adult member prices start at £14 in Category G and £27 in Category AA for a restricted view seat, plus booking fees. A category is the price band for a game. The guide to Chelsea ticket prices lists them all.

Which Chelsea membership should you buy?

True Blue is the right Chelsea membership for most adults who want tickets, because it gives two chances per game and a waitlist place. The £15 step up from CFC Blue buys both.

  • True Blue: best for fans who want to go several times a season. The club says it gives a higher chance of tickets than CFC Blue.
  • True Blue+: best for fans who want CFC+. It brings no extra ticket priority over True Blue.
  • CFC Blue: best for fans who only want a game now and then. It is a dead end if you want a season ticket one day.
  • Junior Blue: for anyone under 16 on 31 July 2026.
  • Ticket Forwarding: best if a friend or relative will send you their ticket. It cannot earn loyalty points.

The Chelsea season ticket guide explains how the waitlist ranks members.

How does the Chelsea application window work?

The Chelsea application window is a ballot, a free draw, held about four to six weeks before each home game. You can apply at any point while it is open. Applying early gains nothing, and past wins or losses do not count.

  1. Sign in to your ticketing account, then open Men’s Ticketing under Tickets & Packages.
  2. Choose “apply for tickets” for the match, using the option for your membership type.
  3. Choose your areas. Enter how many tickets you want and up to two preferred areas. You cannot pick exact seats.
  4. Add your card. A £0.01 check confirms it. You pay for tickets and booking fees only if you win.
  5. Wait for the email. Chelsea replies within four working days of the window closing.

Lost? You get priority on the Chelsea ticket exchange. You can also withdraw and apply again as often as you like while the window is open, with no effect on your chances.

How many tickets can a Chelsea member buy?

A Chelsea member can buy one ticket, plus up to three more for other eligible members, whose details go on the same application. So a group of four needs four memberships, and either everyone gets tickets or nobody does.

  • Bringing children? Under-16s must apply with an eligible member aged 18 or over, and attend with someone aged 18 or over.
  • Family Stand: this is the East Lower North. An adult or under-23 ticket there must be booked with a junior ticket, and each junior ticket covers two of them at most.
  • Groups: everyone must be eligible for the same window. Mixing True Blue and CFC Blue puts the group in the CFC Blue window.

How many games can a Chelsea member realistically see?

A Chelsea member has no promised number of games, because every home match is a separate draw. The club’s application window FAQ publishes no success rates. Leeds, Crystal Palace and Liverpool all sold out at the club after their windows, so expect to lose some applications.

Apply for every game you could attend, and start with those that have no points limit. If you lose, use your priority on the exchange. The club also puts returned tickets on sale to members once the exchange has opened.

How do Chelsea loyalty points affect tickets?

Chelsea loyalty points decide who can apply for the most wanted games, because the club sets a minimum number for them. Chelsea v Liverpool needed 11 points or more, and everyone in a group had to meet that number.

  • Home games: you earn points for attending, once your ticket is scanned at the turnstile. Tickets from the exchange and forwarded tickets now count.
  • Away games: you earn points for buying the ticket.
  • Each game has its own value: Leeds or Crystal Palace at home earned three points, and Liverpool one.
  • Seasons: for ticket sales, only the current season’s points count after the first month.

To see your total, sign in to your ticketing account and select the head-and-shoulders icon.

Can you buy Chelsea tickets without a membership?

You cannot apply for normal Chelsea home tickets without a membership, but you have two other routes. A £15 Ticket Forwarding Membership lets a member send you their ticket, and Club Chelsea, the club’s hospitality service, sells packages outside Westview without one.

Hospitality means a ticket that comes with food and drink. If the club offers a general sale, a sale open to more fans, those tickets cost £5 more than member prices. The guide to getting Chelsea tickets ranks every route.

How do you join, renew or cancel Chelsea membership?

You join Chelsea membership on the club’s membership site, and your plan starts as soon as you pay. It then runs until 5pm on 31 May 2027.

  1. Create a Chelsea FC account in the Chelsea Official App. The same login works on the website, the app and the ticketing site.
  2. Buy your tier at memberships.chelseafc.com. A Junior Blue must be bought from the child’s own account.
  3. Check your date of birth. It sets your concession price for the whole season.

Renewal is automatic once 2027/28 membership is available. Chelsea emails a reminder first and gives you the chance to cancel. If you upgrade, your old membership is refunded within 15 working days. For help, use the Contact Us form and choose Memberships.

Is Chelsea membership worth it?

Chelsea membership is worth it if you plan to apply for several games a season, because each window is a separate chance. It is not worth it if your only goal is one big game.

  • First-timers: pick a game with no points limit. A new member cannot reach a limit like Liverpool’s.
  • Joining late: check the cut-off. For Leeds at home, anyone who bought on or after Friday 9 October could not enter the window.
  • Disabled fans: apply for an Ambulant or Non-Ambulant Membership with supporting documents dated within 12 months. A personal assistant ticket needs a second ticketing account with its own email address.
  • Fans abroad: you can join from overseas, and accessible applicants can send the equivalent documents from their own country. Packs posted abroad cost extra.

What mistakes should you avoid with Chelsea membership?

The main mistakes with Chelsea membership are buying a tier that cannot do what you want and being caught out by your card.

  • Buying Ticket Forwarding to apply: it cannot enter application windows.
  • Expecting credit to pay: account credit does not work in an application window.
  • Letting a payment fail: your ticket is released for sale.
  • Keeping a ticket you cannot use: forward it, or list it on the exchange. If it does not sell, the club does not refund you.

What happens on matchday at Stamford Bridge?

On matchday at Stamford Bridge, you enter with a digital ticket on the Chelsea Official App. Fulham Broadway on the District line is the nearest Tube station. Turnstiles usually open two hours before weekend games and 90 minutes before evening games.

Do not bring a bag larger than A4, and bring a card, because the stadium is cashless. There is no entry after the 60th minute. The Stamford Bridge seating plan shows where each area is.

What to do now (as of 31 October 2026)

As of 31 October 2026, no Chelsea home application window is open, and the next two have not been announced. Do this first: buy True Blue if you want tickets, then watch the on-sale dates for the next window.

Frequently asked questions

How much is it to be a Chelsea member?

Chelsea membership for 2026/27 costs £15 for Ticket Forwarding, £35 for Junior Blue, £45 for CFC Blue, £60 for True Blue and £80 for True Blue+. Only the last four can apply for home tickets. Tickets cost extra, and Ticket Forwarding only lets you receive a ticket that another member sends you.

How does the Chelsea ballot work?

Chelsea calls its ballot a ticket application window. Eligible members apply at any point during a set window, alone or in a group of up to four, choosing up to two preferred areas. Tickets are allocated at random after it closes, and you hear within four working days. Unsuccessful applicants get priority on the ticket exchange.

Is Chelsea membership worth it?

Chelsea membership is worth it if you plan to apply for several home games a season, because True Blue gives two chances in each window and a season ticket waitlist place. It is less useful for one big game, because the most wanted matches need loyalty points that a new member does not have.

Is True Blue+ worth it over True Blue for tickets?

Not for tickets alone. Chelsea True Blue+ at £80 and True Blue at £60 share the same ticket access: the first allocation, entry into the CFC Blue window as well, and a season ticket waitlist place. The extra money buys CFC+ video, live virtual events and bigger shop discounts, so choose it only for those.

How do I renew my Chelsea FC membership?

You do not need to do anything, because 2026/27 Chelsea memberships renew automatically once 2027/28 membership is available. Chelsea emails a reminder before the renewal date and gives you the chance to cancel. Current memberships expire at 5pm on 31 May 2027, so keep your payment details up to date before then.

Can you buy Chelsea tickets without a membership?

You cannot apply for normal Chelsea home tickets without a membership. A £15 Ticket Forwarding Membership lets another member send you a ticket, and Club Chelsea hospitality packages outside Westview do not require a membership. Season ticket holders do not need one either, because they already get True Blue's benefits.

Can I join Chelsea membership now and apply for the next match?

Often, but check the cut-off for that game. Some windows exclude recent joiners: for Leeds at home, memberships bought on or after Friday 9 October were not eligible. The most wanted games also need loyalty points, which a new member does not have, so lower-demand games are where a new membership helps first.

How many tickets can you buy with Chelsea membership?

A Chelsea member can buy one ticket based on their own membership and up to three more for other eligible members, so an application covers four people at most. Each person needs their own membership, and the group either wins together or loses together. Ticket Forwarding members cannot buy tickets at all.

Do Chelsea season ticket holders need a membership?

No. Chelsea season ticket holders get all the inclusions and discounts of True Blue, and they can forward tickets to eligible members. They do not enter application windows, unless the club allows the sale of extra tickets. Everyone else attending a game at Stamford Bridge needs a current Official Chelsea Membership.
