Saturday 24 April 2027 is the provisional date for Newcastle v Ipswich at St. James' Park, in Newcastle city centre, and the kick-off time is TBC. Late-season fixtures can be rescheduled when the broadcasters make their choices.
If the match is played at 3pm on the Saturday, the blackout applies and there will be no live UK coverage. A televised pick would move it to another slot, announced by the broadcasters.

How to get Newcastle v Ipswich tickets
Do you need to be a member? Yes. Newcastle United sell men's home tickets only to members of The Mags, Mags+ and Junior Mags, and they never hold a general sale. Each tier has the same chance in the ballot.
When does the sale open? The on-sale dates for Ipswich are still to be published. The club's pattern is a ballot open for 24 hours, from Monday midday to Tuesday midday, then 48 hours for successful lead bookers to choose seats in their chosen area and pay.
What if you miss out? Season ticket holders' ticket forwarding and resale come after the ballot, followed by the Mags Member Sale, an online sale with a randomised queue for members without a ticket. Once the match sells out, the Mags Member Ticket Exchange resells season ticket holders' seats, first come, first served, up to three hours before kick-off.
And without membership? Resale. Prices on Hellotickets are set by the sellers and can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. Our Newcastle Membership guide explains how to join.
Good to know before you go
- Seller's choice explainedA seller's choice listing lets the seller pick the block, so go for a named zone instead if you need a particular stand or end.
- Don't lock in travel yetSaturday 24 April 2027 is provisional and kick-off is TBC, so keep train and hotel bookings flexible until the Premier League confirms the slot.
- Nothing bigger than A4St. James' Park refuses bags larger than A4 and searches every bag. Outside food and drink are not allowed in either.
- Metro to the gatesSt James Metro station is beside the ground and Monument Metro is around five minutes' walk away, which helps, because there is no supporter parking at the stadium.
Where to sit at St. James' Park
St. James' Park is easiest to read by tier. The lower tier is Level 1, nearest the pitch. The upper tier is Level 7, home to the Family Area in the Milburn Stand (sections L7A-L7E), the visiting supporters in the Leazes Stand (sections L7F-L7M) and the new safe-standing areas added in the summer works. Ipswich's fans will therefore be high up behind the north goal.
At the opposite end, the Gallowgate Stand is the traditional home end, with the singing section in the Strawberry Corner, the safe-standing area it shares with the East Stand, the smallest stand. The Milburn Stand on the west side is the main stand, with the premium and corporate levels. On Hellotickets, Upper and Lower match the two tiers, Shortside means behind a goal, Longside along a touchline and Central near halfway, and every block is marked on the St. James' Park seating plan.
