Coventry's visit is provisionally fixed for Saturday 8 May 2027 at St. James' Park, in Newcastle city centre, with kick-off TBC. The date and time can change when the broadcasters make their picks for the run-in, and our St. James' Park page has more on the ground.
A 3pm Saturday kick-off would fall under the blackout, so the match would not be shown live in the UK. If television picks it, the broadcasters will name the new slot and channel.

How to get Newcastle v Coventry tickets
Newcastle hold no general sale, so the club route starts with membership. Here is the path for this match, step by step:
- Become a member of The Mags, Mags+ or Junior Mags. Every tier has the same chance in the ballot.
- Watch for the on-sale dates, which the club publishes once the broadcast picks for the match are confirmed.
- Enter the ballot during its 24-hour window, from midday on Monday to midday on Tuesday. Successful lead bookers then have 48 hours to choose seats in their chosen area and pay.
- Try the Mags Member Sale if the ballot does not work out. It follows season ticket holders' ticket forwarding and resale, with a randomised online queue.
- Check the Mags Member Ticket Exchange after a sell-out: season ticket holders' seats are released first come, first served, until three hours before kick-off.
Not joining? Then you are buying resale. On Hellotickets, sellers fix their own prices, which can be higher than face value, and you see the final price before you pay. Start with Newcastle Membership if you would rather join.

Where to sit at St. James' Park
Picture yourself in the Milburn Stand, the main stand on the west touchline, home to the directors' box, the Platinum Club and, on Level 7, the Family Area. The East Stand, the smallest of the four, faces you across the pitch. To your right is the Gallowgate Stand, the traditional home end, with the safe-standing Strawberry Corner, where the singing section now stands, in its corner with the East Stand. To your left is the Leazes Stand, where Coventry's supporters will be on Level 7, sections L7F-L7M, high above the north goal.
Hellotickets labels translate to that layout: Longside listings are in the Milburn or East Stand, Shortside listings behind either goal, and Upper or Lower gives the tier, with a separate Gallowgate Stand zone for the home end. The St. James' Park seating plan shows the block numbers.
