At a glance

  • Adult season tickets for the 19 home league games of 2026/27 cost £703 in Zone 4, £845.50 in Zone 3, £902.50 in Zone 2 and £997.50 in Zone 1.
  • The 23-game version adds the four Champions League home nights. It costs an adult from £969 in Zone 4.
  • Joining the waiting list costs a one-off £10. Your place depends on points, and Adult and Junior members get 100 points.
  • Holders must use their seat for at least 14 of the 19 home league games to stay eligible to renew. Sharing or listing a seat counts.
  • The North Stand is closed for 2026/27. The club expects more seats for 2027/28, when Villa Park goes over 50,000.

An Aston Villa season ticket costs an adult between £703 and £997.50 for the 19 home league games of 2026/27. The only way to get a new one is the Season Ticket Waiting List, which ranks fans by points. Few seats reached the list this year, so the realistic target is 2027/28.

What is an Aston Villa season ticket?

An Aston Villa season ticket is one payment for your own seat at all 19 Premier League home games in a season. A normal ticket covers one game. You buy it with a membership, a paid yearly plan, usually three to four weeks before kick-off.

Aston Villa plays at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham, postcode B6 6HE. The North Stand is closed for all of 2026/27 while it is rebuilt, so the Premier League Handbook lists the capacity as 36,887. The club says the new stand will take Villa Park over 50,000.

How much is an Aston Villa season ticket?

An Aston Villa season ticket costs an adult from £703 in Zone 4 to £997.50 in Zone 1 for the 19 league games. A zone is a price band for one part of Villa Park. These are the club’s prices from its ticketing details of 27 May 2026, 5% higher than in 2025/26.

Price zone Adult, 19 games Adult, 23 games Over 66, 19 games Under 21, 19 games Under 14, 19 games
Zone 1 £997.50 £1,297.50 £750.50 £712.50 £712.50
Zone 2 £902.50 £1,202.50 £674.50 £646 £285
Zone 3 £845.50 £1,111.50 £636.50 £598.50 £228
Zone 4 £703 £969 £532 £503.50 £171

Zone 1 is the central stretch of the Trinity Road Stand and the middle of the Doug Ellis upper tier. Zone 4 covers the ends and front rows of the Holte End, plus the Family Zone. The Villa Park seating plan guide shows every block.

  • Under-18s: £285 for 19 games in Zone 4.
  • Family Package: two adults and two under-18s in Zone 4 for £1,691, or £2,375 with the European games.
  • Wheelchair bays: priced like Zone 4.
  • Restricted-view seats: 10% off. A restricted view means something partly blocks your sight of the pitch.

How do you pay for an Aston Villa season ticket?

You pay for an Aston Villa season ticket by card in one go, or over eight months with no interest through V12 Finance. V12 runs a credit check on the lead booker, the person making the booking. The club covers the fees, and you get a 14-day cooling-off period, time to change your mind. There are no admin or booking fees.

Should you choose the 19-game or 23-game Aston Villa season ticket?

The 23-game Aston Villa season ticket suits fans who want most European nights. It adds the four home games of the Champions League league phase, at 10% less than buying them singly. The Champions League is Europe’s top club competition.

Over 9,000 holders renewed on the first day, and over 6,000 of them chose the 23-game package. Stay on 19 games and you still come first for each European night, at a lower price than members. A category is the club’s price band for a game.

Category 2 Champions League ticket Season ticket holder Member
Adult, Zones 1 and 2 £83 £99
Adult, Zones 3 and 4 £73.50 £89.50
Under 18, Zones 2 to 4 £21 £31.50

Some holders also change seats on European nights. For Viking FK, the club relocated holders in the front two rows of blocks B4 and B5, and a small number in A4 and A5, because of UEFA allocation rules.

How does the Aston Villa season ticket waiting list work?

The Aston Villa season ticket waiting list is a points queue, and every seat that is not renewed goes to it. The club ranks fans by their points when it decides who is offered a seat, so more points put you nearer the front.

What counts Points
Holding an Adult or Junior Membership 100
Each home league game you attend 1
Each home domestic or European cup tie 2
Each women’s home game in 2025/26 1

Joining costs a one-off £10. It is non-refundable, but it comes off the price if you are offered a season ticket. You can join at any time.

The club now counts three seasons of attendance rather than two, to soften this season’s lower capacity. Anyone on zero points is taken off the list.

How long is the Aston Villa season ticket waiting list?

Aston Villa publishes no length and no waiting time for its season ticket waiting list. Only a small number of seats reached the top of the list for 2026/27, because renewals broke the club’s record.

The outlook is better for 2027/28. The club expects a significant rise in seats once the new North Stand opens, although supporters moved out of that stand this season have priority to return to it. So start building points now.

What does the North Stand closure mean for season ticket holders?

The North Stand closure means fewer seats for all of 2026/27, so the club expects games to sell out to members. Holders from that stand could renew elsewhere at the same price level, except in Zone 1, where they paid the advertised price.

The new stand adds over 5,500 seats, and the club plans to open it for the full 2027/28 season. It says it will try to give former North Stand holders a seat as close as possible to their old one.

How do you get an Aston Villa season ticket?

You get an Aston Villa season ticket by joining the waiting list, building points and answering quickly when your turn comes. Follow these steps in order:

  1. Join the list. Pay the one-off £10 on tickets.avfc.co.uk, the club’s ticket site. A membership does not add you automatically.
  2. Buy an Adult or Junior Membership each season. That is your biggest single block of points.
  3. Go to games. Each home game you attend adds to your total.
  4. Keep your total above zero, or you drop off the list.
  5. Check your position. The club shares positions before seats go on sale.
  6. Answer quickly when your turn comes. The first person offered took 83% of the new seats for 2025/26, against 10% under the old system.

When do Aston Villa season tickets go on sale?

Aston Villa season tickets go to current holders first, then to the waiting list. The 2026/27 cycle shows the order, and the 2027/28 dates have not been published yet.

Date in 2026 What happened
Wednesday 3 June, 9.30am Renewals opened for current holders
Sunday 5 July Renewals closed
Wednesday 8 July to Wednesday 15 July Relocation window, when holders could move seats
Thursday 16 July to Friday 17 July On sale to the waiting list

What can you do while you wait for an Aston Villa season ticket?

While you wait for an Aston Villa season ticket, a membership gives you four ways to buy single games. Season ticket holders are served first, and members share what is left.

Route Who can use it How it works
First Timer Ballot Members who went in the previous two seasons, but not yet in 2026/27 A free prize draw with 250 tickets in each sale
Loyalty Ballot Members with over 120 waiting list points A draw with a limited number of tickets per game
Match bundles Adult and Junior Members Two games sold together, with 1,000 of each bundle
Members’ sale Adult and Junior Members Whatever remains, first come, first served, from 9.30am on sale day

A general sale, open to everyone, is rare. The Fulham game on 31 October went on general sale on 14 October.

What do you get with an Aston Villa season ticket?

An Aston Villa season ticket gives you your seat at every home league game, plus priority for away and cup tickets, Champions League included. On the 23-game plan, your seat also covers the four league-phase nights.

  • Under-21s: free entry to Under-21 home games, except cup ties.
  • Club store: 10% off.
  • Digital ticket: your season ticket is a pass in the Aston Villa app, and you add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. It appears before the first home game, not straight after you buy.
  • Physical cards: these only go to supporters with a medical exemption.

How do away tickets work for Aston Villa season ticket holders?

Aston Villa season ticket holders buy away tickets in stages set by their Away Points, the club’s count of past trips. Every holder gets 1,000 points, plus 10 for each away league or domestic cup game attended in 2025/26. The most anyone could hold was 1,210.

Stage Who can buy
First Holders on 1,210 points
Second Holders on 1,180 points or more
Third Holders on 1,150 points or more
Last, in some sales All season ticket holders

The club issues one ticket per Fan ID, your personal supporter number, with a limit of 10 tickets in one transaction. Some away tickets also go through a ballot open to holders and members.

What is the 14-game rule for Aston Villa season tickets?

The 14-game rule means every Aston Villa season ticket holder must use the seat for at least 14 of the 19 home league games to stay eligible to renew. There are three ways to count a game:

Your choice How it works Does it count?
Go yourself Use your pass at the turnstile, the entry gate Yes
Share it Forward the seat online or in the app to one of up to eight friends or relatives, nominated at the start of the season Yes
List it Put the seat on the official exchange, the club’s own resale service Yes, whether or not it sells

If a listed seat sells, you get 1/19th of your league season ticket price back. For a Champions League game, you get a quarter of the European add-on. There is no charge.

Resale is not open to holders without a UK bank account. You cannot transfer a season ticket outright, only forward it game by game. The club says it contacts supporters who are close to the limit.

Is an Aston Villa season ticket worth it, and who should wait?

An Aston Villa season ticket is worth chasing if you can be at Villa Park for most home games and want the European nights. If you can manage only a handful of games, a membership and the member sales will suit you better.

  • Best for: fans around Birmingham who want the same seat and first call on Champions League tickets.
  • Not worth it if: you want two or three games a season. The 14-game rule works against you. The Aston Villa membership guide explains the other route.
  • Bringing children? Look at the Family Package and the Family Zone at the north end of the Trinity Road Stand. For 2026/27, adults there no longer need an under-18 with them. Children under four are not admitted to general admission seats.
  • Disabled fans? Wheelchair bays sit along the front of the central Trinity Road blocks, and in the lower tiers of the Doug Ellis Stand and Holte End.
  • Living far away or abroad? Check the rules first. Sharing with nominated friends counts towards your 14 games, but resale needs a UK bank account.

Are there hospitality season tickets at Aston Villa?

Yes, Aston Villa sells season-long hospitality, a seat with food and drink, separately from the prices above. The Terrace View, a General Admission Plus (GA+) area, covers all 19 Premier League home games, and you can add four Champions League games. You can spread the cost over eight monthly payments, subject to credit checks. Seasonal hospitality has its own terms, and it does not include away tickets.

What mistakes should you avoid with an Aston Villa season ticket?

The most costly Aston Villa season ticket mistakes are assuming a membership puts you on the list, and letting a season drift below the 14-game rule.

  • Not joining the list. A membership gives you points only once you have joined separately for £10.
  • Dropping to zero points. You are taken off the list.
  • Replying late to an offer. Most new seats now go to the first person offered.
  • Forgetting to list a game. List or share before kick-off, because every game you exchange or share counts.
  • Leaving your pass in the app. Add it to your wallet before you travel.

What is matchday like at Villa Park?

Matchday at Villa Park is easiest by train, because Witton station is about five minutes from the ground on foot. All kick-off times are UK time, and turnstiles close at the half-time whistle.

  • By train: Witton is about 9 minutes from Birmingham New Street. Aston station is about 15 minutes’ walk from the ground.
  • By shuttle bus: the AV82 leaves from Dudley Street, outside Birmingham New Street station, every 15 minutes from three hours before kick-off.
  • Travelling from elsewhere in the UK? Take a main-line train to Birmingham New Street, then the train to Witton or the AV82.
  • Driving? Book an official car park in advance. Witton Lane and Trinity Road become a traffic exclusion zone from two hours before kick-off.
  • Bags: nothing larger than 20 x 15 x 5cm on the stadium footprint. A bag drop at Witton Lane and Station Road opens two hours before each game.

Every date at the ground is on the Villa Park tickets page.

What is the difference between a season ticket and a normal ticket?

How do I get on the Aston Villa season ticket waiting list?

Pay the one-off £10 fee to join, which you can do at any time. It comes off the price if you are offered a season ticket. Your place then depends on points: 100 for holding a membership, plus points for each home game you attend. Fans on zero points are removed.

How long is the Aston Villa season ticket waiting list?

Aston Villa publishes no list length or waiting time. A small number of seats reached the list for 2026/27, after renewals broke the club's record. The club expects a significant rise in seats for 2027/28, when the new North Stand opens, so that is the realistic target for new fans.

How many season ticket holders do Aston Villa have?

Aston Villa's 2026/27 ticketing news gives no total for season ticket holders. It does say that over 9,000 holders renewed on the first day, and that over 6,000 of those chose the 23-game package. Villa Park's capacity is 36,887 this season, according to the Premier League Handbook.

When do Aston Villa season tickets go on sale?

Can I share my Aston Villa season ticket?
