Aston Villa v Chelsea: date, kick-off and how to watch
Chelsea's trip to Villa Park is scheduled for Saturday 27 February 2027, a Premier League date that stays provisional, with the kick-off time TBC. Tickets are not on sale yet at the official seller. Villa have already sold one batch through members: Bundle 5, on sale from 3 August, paired this game with Crystal Palace's visit on 5 December.
Resale is open now on Hellotickets, from £185 in the Shortside Upper Tier (checked 5 Nov 2026).
Beyond the bundle, single tickets go on sale to Adult and Junior Members from 9.30am on Monday 1 February, a date Villa say is subject to change. With the North Stand out of action all season, anyone without a Villa membership should expect to rely on resale.

The fixture list has Aston Villa v Chelsea on Saturday 27 February 2027 at Villa Park, Birmingham. Neither the date nor the start time is final yet (the kick-off is TBC), and both can change once broadcasters make their selections.
Left at 3pm on the Saturday, it would be one of the matches the blackout keeps off live UK television. Moved for TV, it would gain a new kick-off time, so confirm the final slot before you plan the day.

How to get Aston Villa v Chelsea tickets
Three routes lead to a seat for this match, and the first two need a Villa membership.
The members' sale
Some members already hold this game through Bundle 5, a run of 1,000 two-match bundles released on 3 August. The rest wait for the match-by-match sale for Adult and Junior Members, which follows season ticket holders: Villa's schedule opens it online and by phone at 9.30am on Monday 1 February, and the club expects members to take every seat. That sale includes two ballots: a Loyalty Ballot, open from 120 waiting-list points, and a First Timer Ballot. In Zone 4, adults pay from £49.50 for a Category 3 match or £61 for Category 4, and joining as an adult member costs £50 for the season.
Villa's own resale
Members who cannot attend can put their tickets up through the app or website, getting their money back after the match if they sell. General sales are rare; one was held for the Fulham game at the end of October.
Resale on Hellotickets
With no membership, or no luck in the members' sale, resale is what remains. On Hellotickets, each listing's price is the seller's call, sometimes higher than face value, and the total is on screen before you pay. Our Chelsea tickets page covers Chelsea's other fixtures.
Good to know before you go
- Keep plans flexibleBoth the date and the kick-off time can still change, so keep any train or hotel booking changeable until the Premier League confirms the slot.
- Buses as well as trainsBuses 7, 11A and 11C run to Witton Square and the 65 and 67 to Aston station, an alternative to the trains from New Street.
- Members who cannot goIf your plans change, list your ticket through the Aston Villa app or website; the refund follows the match, provided the ticket resells.
- Leave time for the walkThe roads around Villa Park close to traffic two hours before kick-off and the turnstiles shut at half-time, so build the walk from the station into your plans.
Where to sit at Villa Park
If you want to be among the home crowd behind a goal, the Holte End, two tiers deep at the south end, is the place, with the Holte Suite inside. For the main-stand view, pick the three-tier Trinity Road Stand along the western touchline, home to the tunnel and the directors' box. Across the pitch, the two-tier Doug Ellis Stand has executive boxes between its tiers and, at its north end, the away corner, where Chelsea's supporters sit in Blocks Q and P. The North Stand is closed until its new version opens for 2027/28.
Hellotickets' “Shortside” zones are therefore in the Holte End this season, “Longside” zones in the two side stands, and “Central” zones close to the halfway line. For exact blocks, use the Villa Park seating plan.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy tickets for the Aston Villa vs Chelsea match?
At the club, through Aston Villa's ticket site and the Official Aston Villa App, where match tickets are issued. Members buy first, through Bundle 5 since 3 August and then in the match-by-match sale for Adult and Junior Members. Without a membership, resale listings on Hellotickets start at £185; the total appears before payment.
How much are Aston Villa v Chelsea tickets?
The Shortside Upper Tier carries the lowest resale price, £185 (checked 5 Nov 2026), with touchline seats, especially low down and near halfway, listed higher. Villa's members will pay from £49.50 or £61 for an adult in Zone 4, according to the match's category.
Can I buy Aston Villa v Chelsea tickets without being a member?
Only if Villa hold a general sale, which they rarely do during the North Stand closure; the Fulham game on 31 October went on general sale on 14 October. Otherwise, joining as an adult member (£50 for 2026/27) gets you into the members' sale, or you can buy on the resale market.
How much is a ticket to an Aston Villa game?
For 2026/27, Villa price adult league tickets in Zone 4 from £49.50 (Category 3) and £61 (Category 4), Champions League Category 2 tickets from £89.50, or £73.50 for season ticket holders, and domestic cup tickets at a frozen £25. Resale prices depend on the seller and the match.
What time is kick-off for Aston Villa v Chelsea?
There is no kick-off time yet: it is TBC, and Saturday 27 February 2027 is a provisional date. A 3pm Saturday kick-off would keep it off live UK television under the blackout, while selection for TV would mean a new time.
Where do Chelsea fans sit at Villa Park?
Chelsea supporters get the away section in the Doug Ellis Stand, at its north-east end, split between Block Q in the lower tier and Block P in the upper tier, 64 steps up. Alcohol is sold only in Block Q, and Witton is the nearest station to that corner.
