At a glance
- The Ticket Exchange covers men's Premier League home games only. Cup games, away league tickets and match-by-match hospitality cannot go on it.
- Only eligible All Red members can buy returned seats, at face value, in the Additional Members' Sale about a week before each game.
- Sellers get 100% of their price back, within 10 working days of the match, but only if the seat sells. Season ticket holders get the season price divided by 19.
- Listing a ticket earns you no match credit, whether it sells or not. An unsold season ticket seat still counts as used under the 15-game rule.
- You can cancel a listing in the Ticket Resale section of My Account until the seat sells. After that, it cannot be taken back.
The Liverpool Ticket Exchange is Liverpool FC’s official resale service for men’s Premier League home games. Season ticket holders and All Red members return seats they cannot use, and Liverpool resells them at face value to eligible members. Sellers get 100% of their price back, but only if the seat sells.
Each game and how it is being sold is on the Liverpool tickets page. The rules here come from the club’s own ticket pages, as published on 31 October 2026.
What is the Liverpool FC Ticket Exchange, and how does it work?
The Liverpool FC Ticket Exchange is a way to hand a seat back to the club, so that another member can buy it. It covers men’s games at Anfield, Liverpool FC’s stadium, which holds 61,276 people. Nobody chooses a buyer or sets a price, because the club runs the whole sale.
Three terms explain how it works:
- All Red: the club’s paid membership. You need Full, Light or Junior to buy a returned seat.
- Face value: the normal printed price of the seat, with no mark-up.
- Additional Members’ Sale: the sale held before each home game, where returned seats go back on sale.
So the two sides use different doors. Sellers list on the Ticket Exchange, and buyers come through the Additional Members’ Sale.
Who can use the Liverpool Ticket Exchange?
The Liverpool Ticket Exchange is open to season ticket holders and All Red members as sellers, and to eligible All Red members as buyers. A fan with no membership cannot buy through it.
| You are | What you can do | Money |
|---|---|---|
| Season ticket holder | List a Premier League home seat you cannot use | Your season price divided by 19, if it sells |
| All Red member with a ticket | List a Premier League home ticket | 100% of the price you paid, if it sells |
| All Red member without a ticket | Register for that game’s Additional Members’ Sale | You pay face value |
| Young Adult area ticket holder | List it for other Young Adult members only | 100% of the price you paid, if it sells |
| Not a member | You cannot buy here | See Ticket Forwarding below, or hospitality |
It is best for All Red members with few match credits, the records of games you have bought and attended, because it is the face-value route into most sold-out games. It is not worth relying on if you need a seat on one fixed date, because you cannot know how many seats come back.
- Bringing children? A child needs their own All Red Junior to buy.
- Disabled fans: accessible seating details appear on each fixture page. The Disability Team is on 0151 264 2500, option 1.
- Coming from abroad? Sellers can choose a refund to a non-UK bank account.
The guide to how to get Liverpool tickets ranks every other route.
How do you buy tickets on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange?
You buy tickets on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange through the Additional Members’ Sale, about a week before each home game. You cannot buy a returned seat straight from another fan. Do these steps in order:
- Join All Red. Full costs £42.99 a season and Junior £20.99. Light is £26.99, on offer at £18.99 on 31 October 2026.
- Find your game. Registration and sale dates appear on the club’s tickets availability page. The Ticket Exchange page also lists the games open for returns.
- Register for that game. Registration is game by game, and it can be short.
- Watch for your link. The club sends registered members a link before the sale.
- Buy when the sale opens. Seats are sold first come, first served, and you pay face value.
- Download your NFC pass, the digital ticket for your phone, before you travel.
Face value depends on the seat. Adults pay from £40.25 on the Kop, the home end, and juniors pay £9 in most areas. The guide to how much Liverpool tickets cost has the full list.
Example: Liverpool v Manchester United
Liverpool v Manchester United on Sunday 22 November 2026 at 4.30pm shows the timing for one big game.
- 11am on Friday 6 November to 10am on Saturday 7 November: registration.
- 13 November: the club sends the sale link.
- 11am on Monday 16 November: the sale opens to registered members with four or more credits, up to 4 tickets a booking.
Members with fewer than four credits can only buy for that game if further sales follow.
How do you list a ticket on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange?
You list a ticket on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange in My Account, your online account with the club. Liverpool’s Ticket Exchange page sets out these steps:
- Log in to My Account and go to the tickets section.
- Select the ticket you want to place on the Exchange, then click OK.
- Choose your refund option: a UK bank account you have registered, a UK account with new details, or a non-UK bank account.
- Check the Ticket Resale section. A message there tells you if your ticket has been sold.
Each game has its own listing window. On 31 October 2026, the club’s page showed Liverpool v Arsenal on Sunday 1 November open until one hour before kick-off.
Changed your mind? If the seat has not sold, cancel your request in the Ticket Resale section. Once it has sold, you cannot get it back.
How much does the Liverpool Ticket Exchange cost?
The Liverpool Ticket Exchange page lists no fee for sellers, and it refunds 100% of the value of a seat that sells. Buyers pay the normal face value for that seat, so no seller can add a mark-up or make a profit.
| Who | What you get back | When |
|---|---|---|
| Season ticket holder, seat sold | The value of your season ticket divided by 19 games | Within 10 working days of the match |
| All Red member, seat sold | 100% of the price you paid | Within 10 working days of the match |
| Anyone, seat not sold | Nothing | No refund is due |
Do you earn match credits on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange?
You do not earn a Liverpool match credit for a ticket you list on the Ticket Exchange, whether it sells or not. Match credits decide who buys first, so this matters. Liverpool’s match credits page sets these rules for Premier League home games:
- You list your ticket: no credit, sold or unsold.
- You buy a returned member’s seat and go: you earn a credit.
- You buy a returned season ticket seat: no credit.
- You buy a seat but do not go: no credit.
Season ticket holders have a separate rule. Every Seat, Every Game says each seat must be used for at least 15 Premier League home games. A seat you list still counts as used, even if it does not sell. The Liverpool season ticket guide explains that rule.
Which tickets cannot go on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange?
Cup games, away league tickets and match-by-match hospitality cannot go on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange, which covers Premier League home games only.
- Home cup games: not covered. You can use Ticket Forwarding instead.
- Premier League and domestic cup away tickets: these cannot go on the Exchange or be forwarded.
- Match-by-match hospitality: a ticket with a lounge, food and drink bought for one game cannot be listed.
- Young Adult area tickets: these can be listed, but only other Young Adult members can buy them.
Is there a Liverpool hospitality ticket exchange?
Liverpool has a hospitality Ticket Exchange for Hospitality Season Tickets only. It may not open for every game. If a seat sells, the holder gets 100% of its value, based on the season price divided by 23 games. This exchange closes 4 hours before kick-off.
Should you use Ticket Exchange or Ticket Forwarding?
You should use the Ticket Exchange if you want your money back, and Ticket Forwarding if you want a friend or relative to have the seat. Ticket Forwarding sends your ticket to someone on your Friends & Family list.
| Question | Ticket Exchange | Ticket Forwarding |
|---|---|---|
| Who gets the seat? | An eligible All Red member, through the sale | A person you choose from your list |
| Money back from the club? | Yes, if it sells | No |
| Premier League credit for you? | No | No |
| Home cup games? | No | Yes, and the credit stays with you |
| Counts as used for season ticket holders? | Yes, sold or not | Yes |
| When is it open? | Each game has its own window | Typically 10 to 14 days before a home game |
One limit catches members out. All Red members can only forward Premier League tickets bought in the All Red sales, so a seat you buy in an Additional Members’ Sale cannot be forwarded.
What mistakes should you avoid on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange?
The main Ticket Exchange mistakes are listing late, forgetting to register and expecting something the club does not offer.
- Listing late. The club asks holders to list as early as possible, to give a seat the best chance of selling.
- Forgetting to register. All Red alone does not get you into the sale, so register for each game.
- Expecting a credit. Listing earns none, even if your seat sells.
- Expecting a profit. You get back the value of the seat, never more.
- Listing, then changing your mind too late. A sold seat cannot be taken back.
- Leaving your pass off your phone. You must scan your NFC pass from your phone wallet at the turnstile, the entry gate, so download it before you arrive.
Going to Anfield for the first time? It is about two miles from Liverpool Lime Street station, the 917 express bus runs from nearby Commutation Row, and the ground is cashless. Bags must be A5 size or smaller, and all kick-off times here are UK time. The Anfield seating plan shows where each stand is.
What to do now (as of 31 October 2026)
As of 31 October 2026, the next Additional Members’ Sale with published dates is for Liverpool v Manchester United. Do this first: if you are not in All Red, join now, then note the registration dates below.
| Date and kick-off | Game at Anfield | Additional Members’ Sale |
|---|---|---|
| Sunday 22 November 2026, 4.30pm | Manchester United | Register on 6 and 7 November. Sale on Monday 16 November at 11am |
| Wednesday 2 December 2026, 7.30pm | Sunderland | Dates not yet published |
| Saturday 12 December 2026, 3pm | Leeds United | Dates not yet published |
| Saturday 19 December 2026, 5.30pm | Tottenham | Dates not yet published |
Normal seats for Sunderland, Leeds United and Tottenham are sold out at the club, so this sale is the face-value route left. For games from January, registration for the All Red ballot closed at 10am on Monday 2 November, and the ballot is run, with payments taken, on 12 and 13 November. The club says any tickets left after that sale go into the Additional Members’ Sales.

Frequently asked questions
How does the Liverpool Ticket Exchange work?
A season ticket holder or All Red member who cannot use a Premier League home ticket lists it in My Account. Liverpool then resells that seat at face value to eligible All Red members in the Additional Members' Sale before the match. The seller is refunded within 10 working days of the game if the seat sells.
How do I buy tickets on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange?
You need a 2026/27 Full, Light or Junior All Red membership. Register for the Additional Members' Sale for your game, about two weeks before the match, then buy when the sale opens, about a week before. You pay face value, and some big games also need four or more credits.
Can I buy on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange without All Red membership?
No. Liverpool only resells returned seats to eligible All Red members, who register game by game. All Red Full costs £42.99 a season, Junior £20.99 and Light £26.99, which was on offer at £18.99 on 31 October 2026. Without membership, a forwarded ticket or club hospitality are your club routes.
When do I get my money back from the Ticket Exchange?
You get your money back within 10 working days of the match, but only if your seat resells. Season ticket holders receive the value of the season ticket divided by 19 games, and All Red members receive 100% of the price they paid. If the seat does not sell, no refund is due.
Can I cancel a Liverpool Ticket Exchange listing?
Yes, until the seat sells. Liverpool's Help Centre says to cancel your request in the Ticket Resale section of My Account if the seat has not been sold. Once it has sold on the Ticket Exchange, the seat cannot be retrieved, so only list a ticket when you are sure you cannot go.
Do I earn a match credit if my Exchange listing does not sell?
No. Liverpool's match credits page says you earn no credit if you list your ticket on the Ticket Exchange, whether it is resold or not. If you buy a returned member's seat and attend, you do earn one. Buying a returned season ticket seat earns no credit.
Does an unsold seat count towards the Liverpool season ticket rule?
Yes. Liverpool's Every Seat, Every Game policy says a season ticket seat listed on the Ticket Exchange still counts as used, even if it does not sell. You get no refund in that case. Holders must use their seat for at least 15 Premier League home games a season.
Can I put my away ticket on the Liverpool Ticket Exchange?
No. Liverpool says Premier League and domestic cup away tickets are not available via the Ticket Exchange and cannot be forwarded. European away tickets can be forwarded to someone on your Friends & Family list, if their account was created before that game's deadline. Home cup tickets can also be forwarded.
Is there a Liverpool hospitality ticket exchange?
Yes, but only for Hospitality Season Tickets. Liverpool says the Ticket Exchange is not available for match-by-match hospitality bookings, and it may not open for every game. If a seasonal seat sells, the holder gets 100% of its value, based on the season price divided by 23 games. It closes 4 hours before kick-off.
How do I log in to the Liverpool Ticket Exchange?
There is no separate Ticket Exchange login. You use My Account, your online account with Liverpool FC, then go to the tickets section to list a seat. The Ticket Resale section of My Account shows whether your ticket has been sold, and it is also where you cancel a listing.
