At a glance

  • Anfield holds 61,276 people in four stands: the Kop, the Main Stand, the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand and the Anfield Road Stand.
  • For noise, sit on the Kop. For the view, pick the centre of a side stand. Tier 12, in the upper Main Stand, is listed at £9, the local ticket price.
  • Liverpool sells seats by price tier, so the part of the ground sets the price. Adult seats on the Kop start at £40.25.
  • Away fans sit in the Anfield Road Stand and use entrances Q and R. Their turnstiles open two hours before kick-off.
  • Bags can be no bigger than A5, the ground is cashless, and every ticket is a digital pass on your phone.

  4. Anfield Road Stand: Two levels behind the goal. Away fans and the Family Zone.

Simple plan, not to scale.

The Anfield seating plan has four stands and 61,276 seats. The Kop, behind one goal, is the loud home end. The Main Stand and Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand run along the touchlines, and away fans sit in the Anfield Road Stand. For noise, pick the Kop. For the view, pick a side stand.

Upcoming games at the ground are on the Anfield tickets page, and the Liverpool tickets page shows how each one is being sold.

How does the Anfield seating plan work?

The Anfield seating plan works by stand, then block, then row and seat. Anfield is the home of Liverpool FC, in the Anfield district of Liverpool, postcode L4 0TH. A stand is one side of the ground, a level is one layer of seats in that stand, and a block is a numbered section of a level.

Watch out for one word. Fans call a level a tier, but Liverpool’s price bands are also named Tier 1 to Tier 12. So a price tier below always means the band, not the level.

Stand Where it is Levels and blocks Who sits there Adults from
The Kop Behind the goal, Walton Breck Road end One level: 102 to 109 at the front, 202 to 208 behind, 304 to 306 at the back Home fans. The loudest stand, with a view from behind the goal £40.25
Main Stand Along one touchline, the long edge of the pitch Three levels: L1 to L16, M1 to M9, U1 to U9 Home fans and most hospitality lounges. A side-on view £49.50
Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand Along the other touchline Two levels: KG to KP, then CE1 to CE9 Home fans, with a side-on view. It was once the Kemlyn Road Stand, then the Centenary Stand £56.75
Anfield Road Stand Behind the other goal Two levels: AL1 to AL9, then AM1 to AM8 and AU1 to AU8 Away fans and the Family Zone, with a view from behind the goal £30

How do you read the block numbers at Anfield?

Anfield block numbers tell you where you are in a stand. On the Kop, block 102 is in the corner by the Main Stand and 109 is in the corner by the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand. Along the touchlines, the codes count from the Anfield Road end towards the Kop. AL1 to AL9 run from the Sir Kenny Dalglish side to the Main Stand side.

On the club’s 2026/27 plan, blocks L11 to L16, M1 to M9 and AM1 to AM8 have no price tier for normal seats. The plan stops at block level, with no seat numbers and no 3D view. Your row and seat are on your ticket. For photos from real seats, fans use sites such as A View From My Seat.

What do the letters on the Anfield stadium seating plan mean?

The letters on the Anfield stadium seating plan show the level. In the Main Stand, L is the lower level, M the middle and U the upper. In the Anfield Road Stand, AL is the lower level and AU the upper, with AM between them.

The Anfield Road seating plan covers the newest part of the ground. An expansion of about 7,000 seats largely opened there in February 2024.

How much does each part of Anfield cost?

Anfield seats cost adults from £40.25 on the Kop in 2026/27, and your price tier sets the price. Liverpool uses this one list for Premier League home games, so the opponent makes no difference.

Price tier Where on the plan Adult Junior
1 Main Stand L2 to L9, and the upper centre £62.75 £9
2 Sir Kenny Dalglish KJ to KL and CE4 to CE6 £60.75 £9
3 Either side of price tier 2 £58.75 £9
4 Ends of the side stands, and the middle of upper Anfield Road £56.75 £9
5 Most of lower Anfield Road £51.50 £9
6 Anfield Road corners AL1, AL2 and AL9 £49.50 £9
7 Centre of the Kop, and upper Anfield Road corners £46.25 £9
8 Most of the Kop £45.25 £9
9 A strip at the very front and back of the Kop £42.25 £9
10 Kop corners 102, 108, 109, 202 and 208 £40.25 £9
11 Back of upper Anfield Road £30 £30
12 Far ends of the upper Main Stand £9 £9

Over-65 and young adult prices are in the guide to how much Liverpool tickets cost. You also need an All Red membership, the club’s paid plan, to buy these seats.

Where is the best place to sit at Anfield?

The best place to sit at Anfield is the Kop for noise, the centre of a side stand for the view, and price tier 12 for the lowest price.

  • Best for atmosphere: the Kop. It is the home end, and the central blocks 104 to 106 and 204 to 206 sit right behind the goal.
  • Best for the view: Main Stand blocks L2 to L9, or Sir Kenny Dalglish blocks KJ to KL. Higher levels lift you above play, which helps you follow the shape of the game.
  • Best for value: price tier 11 at £30, the same for every age. Tier 12 is listed at £9, the price of the club’s local tickets for L postcodes.
  • First visit? A side stand shows you the whole pitch and the Kop too.

A rail seat is a seat with a safety rail in front, which lets fans stand safely. Large parts of the Kop have them, so expect to be on your feet there. Liverpool’s plan marks no restricted views, so ask the Ticket Office, under the Kop, if you are unsure about a seat.

Can you choose your own seat at Anfield?

You cannot always choose your own seat at Anfield, because the club allocates seats automatically when you win an All Red ballot. A ballot is a free prize draw for the right to buy. Follow these steps to get as close as you can:

  1. Decide what matters most: noise, view or price.
  2. Find that area and its price tier on the plan on the club’s ticket prices page.
  3. When you register for a ballot, choose your preferred seat location and price range.
  4. Read your confirmation email when your seat comes through.

Returned seats go back on sale before each game, as the Liverpool Ticket Exchange guide explains. Only holders of a Liverpool season ticket keep the same seat all season.

Where do away fans sit at Anfield?

Away fans at Anfield sit in the Anfield Road Stand and come in through entrances Q and R. Liverpool’s visiting supporters guide for 2025/26 says turnstiles, the entry gates, open two hours before kick-off.

  • Getting in: walk along Anfield Road from 97 Avenue, because there is no access from Arkles Lane. Turn left when you leave.
  • Standing: rows 6 to 35 have rails. Stay in or in front of your own seat, and keep out of the gangways.
  • Drinks: alcohol is served on the concourse, the walkway behind the seats, but not in view of the pitch.
  • Your block: the visiting club’s own ticket notice gives the exact blocks for each match.

Where should families and young fans sit at Anfield?

Families at Anfield should look at the price tiers first, because juniors pay £9 in most of the ground. Under-16s must be with an adult aged 18 or over, and ID may be requested.

  • Family Zone: this is an activity area in the Anfield Road Stand, with quizzes and chant lessons. It is not a block of family seats. Check with the club that it is running for your game.
  • Lost child wristbands: ask a Safeguarding Steward, in a purple tabard, before the turnstiles.
  • Ages 17 to 24: Full and Light members can try for the Young Adult area in the Lower Anfield Road, at £25.75.

What accessible seating does Anfield have?

Anfield’s accessible seats are sold to supporters who have registered their access needs with Liverpool FC. Contact Supporter Services to start, or call the Disability Team on 0151 264 2500, option 1.

  • Prices: disabled supporters have a separate list. Kop adults pay from £30.25, and juniors pay £7 in most tiers.
  • Wheelchair users: the visitors’ bays are in blocks AL8 and AL9, through gate 6 on Anfield Road.
  • Drop-off: the area is just beyond the Club Store on Gilman Street.
  • Help on the day: accessibility stewards wear blue bibs, and headsets for blind and visually impaired fans can be ordered by email at disability@liverpoolfc.com.
  • No smartphone? A stadium access card, a photo ID card, replaces the digital pass if you meet the club’s criteria.

Where is hospitality on the Anfield seating plan?

Anfield hospitality, a ticket with food and drink, is mostly in the Main Stand. The Beautiful Game and the Chemistry Lounge are there, and the Carlsberg Dugout is at the Kop End and the Anfield Road End. Hospitality needs no membership, but it earns no credit, the record of games attended that decides who buys first.

A concert at Anfield uses a different layout, so use the seat map for that show. As of 31 October 2026, the Anfield tickets page lists football only.

How do you get to Anfield, and what can you bring?

The easiest way to get to Anfield is a matchday bus, because the ground sits in a residents-only parking zone. It is about two miles from Liverpool Lime Street station, and all kick-off times are UK time. Travelling from outside Liverpool? Take a train to Lime Street, then the 917 bus or a taxi.

How From Worth knowing
917 express bus Commutation Row, near Lime Street About 15 minutes. Return buses wait on Walton Lane
Soccerbus Sandhills station on Merseyrail From two hours before kick-off until 90 minutes after full time
926 bus Liverpool ONE Starts 3.5 hours before kick-off
Taxi City centre Usually £8 to £10
Car Park and ride from a Merseyrail station No general paid parking at Stanley Car Park or Utting Avenue
  • Your ticket: an NFC pass, a digital ticket held in Apple Wallet or Google Pay. You need a smartphone.
  • Bags: small handheld bags up to A5 size, 148.5 x 210mm. Every bag is searched.
  • Drinks: a clear 500ml plastic bottle with a sealed top is allowed.
  • Paying: the ground is cashless, so bring a card or phone.

What mistakes should you avoid when choosing a seat at Anfield?

The most common mistakes at Anfield are mixing up levels and price tiers, driving to the ground and bringing a big bag.

  • Reading Tier 12 as a level. It is a price band at the far ends of the upper Main Stand.
  • Expecting to sit on the Kop. It is the hardest part of the ground to get into, so list a second choice.
  • Driving to the ground. Parking is enforced around the stadium, and illegally parked cars can be fined or removed.
  • Bringing a bag bigger than A5. For medical items, email the Disability Team at least 48 hours before the game.

Frequently asked questions

Which stand at Anfield has the best atmosphere?

The Kop has the best atmosphere at Anfield. It is the single-level home end at the Walton Breck Road side, large parts of it have rail seats, and fans stand there throughout. The lower level of the Anfield Road Stand also has rail seats, but it is shared with visiting fans and the Family Zone.

What are the best seats at Anfield for a good view of the pitch?

For the view, choose the centre of a side stand. Main Stand blocks L2 to L9 are in price tier 1 at £62.75 for an adult. Sir Kenny Dalglish blocks KJ to KL are in price tier 2 at £60.75. Higher levels help you follow the shape of the game.

Where do away fans sit at Anfield?

Away fans sit in the Anfield Road Stand, behind the goal opposite the Kop. They use entrances Q and R, reached along Anfield Road from 97 Avenue, and turnstiles open two hours before kick-off. The away seats have rails in rows 6 to 35, and wheelchair bays are in blocks AL8 and AL9.

Which blocks are behind the goal on the Kop?

The central Kop blocks are 104 to 106 at the front and 204 to 206 behind them, with 304 to 306 at the back. These central seats are mostly price tier 7, at £46.25 for an adult. The corner blocks 102, 108, 109, 202 and 208 are price tier 10.

Is there a 3D seating plan for Anfield?

Liverpool's ticket prices page shows a flat colour plan of Anfield with stands, blocks and price tiers, not a 3D view. Use it to find your block and price. For an idea of the view, fan photo sites such as A View From My Seat show pictures taken from real seats.

Does the Anfield seating plan show seat numbers?

No. Liverpool's 2026/27 Anfield plan stops at block level, so it shows codes such as 205, KK and AL4, but no rows or seat numbers. Your row and seat appear on your ticket. If you are unsure about a seat, ask the Ticket Office, which is underneath the Kop.

What is the Anfield Road upper tier?

The upper Anfield Road Stand is the top level behind the goal opposite the Kop. Its AU1 to AU8 blocks are part of an expansion of about 7,000 seats that largely opened in February 2024. Prices run across several price tiers, and seats at the very back are price tier 11, at £30 for any age.

Can you park at Anfield on a matchday?

Not easily. The streets around Anfield are a residents-only parking zone, and there is no general paid parking at Stanley Car Park or Utting Avenue, apart from set places for disabled supporters and over-65s. Use park and ride from a Merseyrail station, the Soccerbus from Sandhills or the 917 bus from near Lime Street.

What size bag can I take into Anfield?

You can take a small handheld bag no larger than A5, which is 148.5 x 210mm, or an LFC Superstore clear carrier with Superstore items. Every bag is searched. Larger bags are only for medication or medical equipment, and you should email the club's Disability Team at least 48 hours before the game.

How does the Anfield seating plan change for a concert?

A concert at Anfield has its own layout, set for that show, so the football plan does not apply. Use the seat map on the seller's page for your date. As of 31 October 2026, the Anfield tickets page lists football games only, so check there for any new concert dates.
