At a glance

  • Adult tickets start at £62 in Category A, £55 in B, £44 in C and £33 in D. The opponent sets the band, and better areas of the ground cost more.
  • You need a membership first. Official costs £37.50 a season, Premium £70 and Under 16 £20. Forwarding, at £30, cannot buy tickets.
  • Most league games left start at £55. Coventry and Hull City start at £44, while Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal start at £62 through a members' ballot.
  • The lowest adult season ticket is £646, or £34 a match. Under-16s start at £12 a match in the family area.
  • Without a membership, hospitality is the main route. For Coventry City it started at £120 with food and drink on 31 October 2026.

How much are Manchester United tickets? For 2026/27, an adult ticket at Old Trafford starts at £33, £44, £55 or £62, depending on the opponent. You must also hold a club membership, which costs most adults £37.50 a season. Most league games still on sale start at £55, and a season ticket starts at £646.

Every home game and its sale status is on the Manchester United tickets page. All the prices here come from the club or the sellers it names, as published on 31 October 2026.

How do Manchester United ticket prices work?

Manchester United ticket prices work in two steps: you pay for a membership once a season, then you pay for each game you buy. Manchester United plays its Premier League home games at Old Trafford, a stadium in Greater Manchester with room for 74,158 people.

A membership is a paid plan that gives you the right to buy a seat. League seats at Old Trafford are sold only to members, so there is no general sale, which means a sale open to everyone. Each member can buy one ticket for each game.

The price of a game depends on its category. A category is a price band, and the club puts every home game in one of four bands, from A down to D. The opponent sets the band, so a visit from Liverpool costs more than a visit from Coventry.

Four terms come up again and again when you look at prices:

  • “From”: the starting price for an adult in that band. Better areas of the ground cost more.
  • Ballot: a free prize draw for the biggest league games. Enter, and if you are picked you can buy a ticket.
  • Concession: a lower price for younger or older fans.
  • Returned seat: a ticket that a holder cannot use. They list it in the Manchester United app, and the club sells it again to members.

How much are Manchester United tickets for each game?

Manchester United home tickets cost an adult from £62 in Category A, £55 in B, £44 in C and £33 in D in 2026/27. This table shows the band for each home game listed on 31 October 2026, and how the club is selling it.

Category Adults from Home games How it is sold
A £62 Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich Members’ ballot for the three league games. Members’ sale for Bayern Munich
B £55 Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland, Newcastle, Everton, Crystal Palace, Leeds Members’ sale, buy online
C £44 Coventry, Hull City, RB Leipzig Members’ sale, buy online
D £33 None on the list so far No game to buy yet

So £55 is the realistic starting price for an adult at most league games this season. Coventry and Hull City are the two league games that start at £44. No listed game sits in Category D, so do not plan a trip around £33.

How much are tickets to a Manchester United game on average? Manchester United gives no average, since each game and each seat has its own price. Use £55 as your guide for a normal league game, then check the exact seat price online.

What makes one Manchester United game dearer than another?

A Manchester United game is dearer when the opponent sits in a higher category or your seat is in a better area. Old Trafford ticket prices depend on the opponent first and the seat second.

  • The opponent. An adult pays from £44 for Coventry, from £55 for Brentford and from £62 for Liverpool.
  • The area of the ground. Better areas cost more within each band. The club publishes starting prices, but no price list by stand. You see the exact price when you pick your seat from the stadium plan on tickets.manutd.com.
  • The competition. European games use the same bands, and they split too: RB Leipzig is in C and Bayern Munich in A.
  • Your age. Season tickets have lower prices for under-21s and over-66s.

The Old Trafford seating plan shows where each stand sits, so you can judge what a better area means before you choose.

How much are Manchester United v Liverpool tickets?

Manchester United v Liverpool tickets start at £62 for an adult, because the game is in Category A. It is scheduled for Saturday 23 January 2027, though the date and kick-off are still to be confirmed. Members must enter the ballot before 8am on Wednesday 11 November 2026.

Would you rather not rely on a draw? Hospitality for this game started at £545 a person on 31 October 2026.

How much are Manchester United tickets for children and seniors?

Manchester United publishes age prices for season tickets only, from £12 a match for under-16s in the family area. For a single game, the club’s public pages show adult starting prices but no list by age. So check the price for a child or senior on tickets.manutd.com before you pay.

Who Lowest season ticket price a match, 2026/27 What to know
Under 16 £12 In the family area
Aged 16 or 17 £17 A normal seat
Aged 18 to 20 £25.50 A normal seat
Adult £34 £646 for the season
Over 66 £25.50 Senior holders also keep a 25% discount, taken off when they pay

These figures apply to a seat held for a whole season, so they are not single-game prices. They do show how the club treats each age. The club says all its concessions stay in place for general admission, meaning normal seats with no food or lounge.

Bringing children? Each child needs a ticket, and each ticket needs a member, so every child needs their own membership. The Under 16 Membership costs £20 a season and can buy tickets. When you buy it, the red “Change” pencil icon lets you put it in your child’s name.

Disabled fans should ask the club about prices before buying. The Club Charter, the club’s published promises to fans, commits to dedicated areas for disabled supporters and free tickets for carers or personal assistants. The Accessibility Help Page on tickets.manutd.com is the place to begin, and the email address is accessibility@manutd.co.uk.

How much are Manchester United tickets with a membership?

Manchester United tickets with a membership cost the match price plus one yearly fee, usually £37.50 for an adult. That fee covers the whole season, so a second or third game adds only the ticket price. You cannot buy a normal league seat without a ticket-buying membership.

Membership Price a season Can it buy tickets? What else it adds
Premium £70 Yes First priority for new season tickets, a £20 United Store voucher and MUTV, the club’s video service, worth £29.99
Official £37.50 Yes 15% off selected hospitality, 10% off at the Megastore and United Store, and money off the Old Trafford Museum and Stadium Tour
Under 16 £20 Yes Savings on stadium tours and hospitality, and 10% off in store
Forwarding £30 No Nothing else. It only lets you receive a ticket from a season ticket holder

Official is the right choice for most people. Pick Premium only if you want a season ticket one day. Forwarding suits one group: friends and family of a season ticket holder, who can send you their ticket for a game.

Here is what one adult pays across two league games this season, item by item:

The Manchester United membership guide compares the four types in more depth, including how to join and how to cancel.

How much are Manchester United tickets without a membership?

Manchester United tickets for non-members are hospitality or travel packages, because a normal league seat needs a ticket-buying membership. Hospitality for the Coventry game started at £95 for a seat with no food. An Official Match Break is a match ticket with a hotel or travel, sold by Champions Travel and Travel Connection, and each seller shows its own prices.

How much are Manchester United Champions League, cup and away tickets?

Manchester United Champions League tickets use the same price bands as league games, so RB Leipzig starts at £44 for an adult and Bayern Munich at £62. The Champions League is Europe’s top club competition. Cup and away games work differently, as this table shows.

Type of game Adult price Who can buy
Champions League at home From £44 for RB Leipzig, from £62 for Bayern Munich Members, and season ticket holders who opted out of the competition
Home cup games Set after each draw Announced for each game
Premier League away games A £30 cap, agreed by the league’s clubs Not open to Official members
Cup finals Depends on the final Not open to Official members

RB Leipzig on Tuesday 8 December 2026 at 8pm and Bayern Munich on Wednesday 20 January 2027 at 8pm went on sale to members on 29 August 2026. If more tickets come up, they go to those same groups. The Manchester United v RB Leipzig page shows where that sale stands.

Searching for Europa League prices? Manchester United is playing in the Champions League in 2026/27, so no Europa League price applies this season.

An away ticket puts you in the section of the other club’s stadium set aside for visiting supporters. Premier League clubs agreed in March 2026 to keep the £30 cap on those tickets for two more seasons. That helps regular away fans, but a new member cannot use it. Games such as Liverpool v Manchester United on Sunday 22 November are not a route for a first-timer.

How much are Manchester United season tickets?

Manchester United season tickets start at £646 for an adult in 2026/27, or £34 a match over 19 Premier League home games by the club’s own sum. That one payment buys your own seat at all of those games.

£646 is the lowest adult price for general admission. Other areas cost more, and the club’s ticketing update does not list a price for each stand. The club raised prices by around 5 per cent for 2026/27. That means just over £2 more a game on average for adult holders, and £1 more for under-16s.

Can you buy a Man Utd season ticket online today? Not on demand. There is no public waiting list to join, and seats only come free when holders give them up. New season tickets go first to Premium members, who pay £70 a season.

Is it good value? At £34 a match, the lowest adult season ticket sits well below the £55 start of most single games. But it suits only fans who can use it. Holders must use the seat for at least 16 of the 19 league games, by going, forwarding it, listing it for resale or donating its cost.

The Champions League and domestic cups are not part of that price. The club promises that a holder pays no more than 1/19th of their season ticket price for a home cup or European game. The Manchester United season ticket guide explains how seats change hands and what to do meanwhile.

How much does a first visit to Old Trafford cost?

A first visit to Old Trafford costs one membership and one ticket for each person, plus travel. These are the published costs for one adult and one child at a Category C game, such as Coventry on Saturday 5 December 2026 at 3pm:

  • Official Membership for the adult: £37.50 a season.
  • Under 16 Membership for the child: £20 a season.
  • Adult ticket: from £44.
  • Child’s ticket: not listed on the club’s public pages, so check before you pay.
  • United Review, the match programme: £4.
  • Bag drop, for anything over the size limit: £5.
  • Taxi from Manchester Piccadilly station: about £10 on average, the club says.

At a Category B game such as Brentford, the adult ticket starts at £55 instead. Food, drink and your journey to Manchester are extra.

What should you know on the day?

On the day, your ticket is on your phone in the Manchester United app. It is an NFC pass, a digital ticket you tap at the turnstile, which is the entry gate. Screenshots are not valid. All kick-off times here are UK time.

  • By tram: the Old Trafford Metrolink stop is five minutes or less on foot from the ground. It is accessible for wheelchair users.
  • Travelling from outside Manchester? Manchester Piccadilly is the main station. From there, take the tram or a taxi of about 15 minutes.
  • Flying in? A taxi from Manchester Airport takes about 20-30 minutes and costs about £35 on average.
  • Driving? Book an official car park online in advance. The postcode for the ground is M16 0RA.
  • Bags: the largest bag allowed is 20cm x 15cm x 5cm, far smaller than A4 paper. A Megastore carrier bag with that day’s shopping is fine.
  • Bag drop: it opens 4 hours before kick-off. If you need it, the club suggests getting there 2 hours before kick-off.
  • At the gate: everyone is searched or screened, and smoking is banned, including e-cigarettes.

How much is hospitality at Old Trafford?

Old Trafford hospitality started at £120 a person with food and drink for Coventry City, and at £545 for Liverpool, on 31 October 2026. Hospitality is a match ticket sold with food, drink or a lounge. It needs no membership, which makes it the main way in for non-members.

Game With food and drink, from Seat only, from
Coventry City, Saturday 5 December 2026, 3pm £120 £95
RB Leipzig, Tuesday 8 December 2026, 8pm £495 £245
Liverpool, scheduled for Saturday 23 January 2027 £545 Not listed

Manchester United’s partner Elevate sells these packages at hospitality.manutd.com. Prices are per person and include VAT, the UK sales tax. The seat-only package is called Padded Seat. The FAQ there says hospitality has no concession prices, so a child pays the same as an adult.

Two offers can lower the bill. Official, Premium and Under 16 members get 15% off selected packages. The Hat-Trick Offer gives 15% off if one order covers eligible packages for three different matchdays. Standard packages are non-refundable, so be sure of your date first.

Hospitality suits a birthday or a one-off trip on fixed dates. It is not worth it if you simply want to see the game and can pick a lower-category match.

Who has the most expensive tickets in the Premier League?

No official list says who has the most expensive Premier League tickets, because each club sets its own prices and its own bands. The fair test is to compare published starting prices, as in this table for 2026/27.

Club Adult match ticket from Adult season ticket from
Manchester United £33, or £44 in the lowest band in use £646
Liverpool £40.25 on the Kop, the home end £734.50
Arsenal £31.80 £978 for 19 games
Chelsea £28 with a clear view £700 in the family area
Manchester City £20 Not shown

So Manchester United’s lowest adult season ticket is below Chelsea’s, Liverpool’s and Arsenal’s. Its top band, Category A from £62, starts below Arsenal’s Category A at £78. Treat this as a rough guide, because each starting price buys a different kind of seat.

To look across the whole league, the Premier League tickets page lists the competition’s fixtures.

How can you pay less for Manchester United tickets?

You pay less for Manchester United tickets by choosing a Category C game, holding one membership for the season and avoiding extra costs on the day. The best choice depends on who is going:

If you are Best for you Published price
A first-timer who wants one game Official Membership and a Category C game £37.50, then from £44
A parent with a child One Official and one Under 16 Membership £37.50 and £20, then a ticket each
A group of friends A ticket-buying membership for each person £37.50 each for adults
Coming from abroad on fixed dates An Official Match Break or hospitality Set by the seller. Hospitality for Coventry City from £95
Keen to see most home games Premium Membership, then a season ticket if one comes up £70, then from £646

Are there any discounts on Manchester United tickets?

Manchester United’s published discounts are mostly for members, younger fans and older fans, not for an adult buying one league game. These are the ones worth knowing:

  • Season tickets: the age prices above, plus 25% off for senior holders.
  • Hospitality: 15% off selected packages for members.
  • The stadium tour: members get money off the Old Trafford Museum and Stadium Tour. On matchdays, though, the tour and museum only open to hospitality guests.
  • Supporters’ clubs: local fan groups recognised by the club share 1,000 tickets per home game. The club lists 362 of them in 95 countries, so these suit fans living far from Manchester.

What is the lowest-cost way to see a United team?

The lowest-cost way to see a United team is MU Women, the club’s women’s side, which plays in the Women’s Super League. Tickets for games at the Progress With Unity Stadium, at Leigh Sports Village, are £9 or £4.50 for members and £12 or £6 for non-members. A 2026/27 season ticket works out at £8 a game for adults and £4 for concessions.

What mistakes make Manchester United tickets cost more?

The mistakes that cost Manchester United fans most are buying the wrong membership, budgeting from the wrong price and booking travel too early.

  • Buying Forwarding to save money. At £30 it costs less than Official, but Forwarding members cannot buy tickets.
  • Budgeting from £33. No game on the club’s list is in Category D so far, so budget from £44.
  • Treating “from” as the price. It is the start of a band, so your seat may cost more.
  • Sharing a membership. It is one ticket per member, so a family of four needs four memberships.
  • Upgrading late. Moving up to Premium means cancelling and buying again, which also cancels any tickets you hold. If you want Premium, buy it first.
  • Booking trains or hotels too soon. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and the spring games have no confirmed date or kick-off yet.
  • Bringing a big bag. Travel light and you keep the £5 bag drop charge in your pocket.
