European nights at the Luz follow their own sale calendar, opening a little earlier than league games, and the Dutch side's visit will be no exception.

The tie is set for Thursday 28 January 2027 at 8pm, as published in Benfica's club calendar, at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in the Luz district of Lisbon. Portugal and the UK share a time zone in winter, so 8pm in Lisbon is 8pm in London too.

Europa League matches are shown in the UK by the competition's rights holders, and the pick for each Thursday is confirmed by the broadcaster in the days before; check their listings rather than relying on a channel named early.

How to get Benfica v AZ Alkmaar tickets

Benfica have not opened a sale yet; the online shop was only listing fixtures up to early November when last checked. For UEFA home games the club has started selling about three and a half weeks before kick-off. The Lech Poznań tie on 5 November is the latest example of how it runs:

  • 9 October: Red Pass season ticket holders.
  • 12 October: sócios with their dues paid.
  • 13 October: registered fans, Casa Benfica members and the general public.

For Lech, public prices started at €35 and members paid from €25. Expect something similar here, with members always below the public rate. Each order is limited to five tickets, issued in the holder's name, and the club does not exchange or refund them.

Official outlets are slbenfica.pt, the Benfica app, the Bilheteira Centenário box office at the stadium, Benfica Official Stores and Casas do Benfica. Red Pass holders who cannot use their seat can put it on the Mercado Secundário when the board opens it, which is worth checking on the app close to the match.

For travel booked well before the club sale, resale listings on Hellotickets are already live. Sellers set their own prices, and the final price is shown before you pay. The rest of the campaign is on our Europa League tickets page, and AZ's other fixtures are under AZ Alkmaar tickets.

Where to sit at Estadio Da Luz

Only two areas are listed for this tie. Upper Tier seats are on Floor 3, the biggest level of the stadium with 33,600 seats in the original layout, high under the polycarbonate roof and good for taking in the whole pitch on a European night. Middle Tier sits below, across the smaller Floors 1 and 2, where the presidential box and members' boxes are also found.

The pitch-level Floor 0 is not in the current listings; if seats appear there, the club notes that rows A and B are low enough to need a height of 1.70 m for a clear view. Organised Benfica groups occupy sectors 28 and 5-6 on that floor. Benfica does not say where visiting supporters are placed, so we do not point to an away section.
