Benfica v Braga: date, kick-off and how to watch

Braga, the club that most often breaks into Portugal's established top three, travel to the Estádio da Luz on Sunday 13 December 2026 for a Liga Portugal fixture. The date comes from Benfica's calendar, but no kick-off has been set and the date itself is provisional.

Official sale: not on sale yet at the official seller (last checked 5 Nov 2026).

On Hellotickets, resale seats begin at £53 in the Upper Tier (checked 5 Nov 2026).

It falls a fortnight before the Lisbon derby, so plenty of members will be competing for both games in the same few weeks.

The match is pencilled in for Sunday 13 December 2026 at the Luz, the stadium in Lisbon's Luz district that Benfica officially call the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The calendar says the time is still to be defined, and until it is, the day itself should be treated as provisional too.

Lisbon keeps UK time in winter. Whether the game is shown in Britain will be confirmed by the broadcasters once the schedule is fixed.

How to get Benfica v Braga tickets

Tickets are not on sale yet and Benfica has not given dates. What the club does publish is the order it sells in, and for a game of Braga's profile that order matters:

  1. Red Pass holders, who already have a season seat, get first call on extra tickets.
  2. Sócios whose dues are up to date follow, at member prices.
  3. Registered fans, Casa Benfica members and the public come last.

Benfica's recent league sales went live about three weeks before kick-off. For the Alverca game on 2 November, members started on 14 October and the public a day later; seats were priced from €20 for members and €30 for everyone else.

The official channels are slbenfica.pt, the app, the stadium box office, Benfica Official Stores and Casas do Benfica. You can take up to five tickets per purchase; they are nominative, with no exchanges or refunds. Red Pass holders can sometimes resell their seat on the club's own Mercado Secundário, but only when the board activates it.

If you need tickets before the official window, resale listings on Hellotickets are live. Sellers set their own prices and you see the total before paying. Fixtures for the visitors are on Braga tickets, and the full Luz calendar is under Benfica tickets.

Good to know before you go

  • Two big games in a fortnightBraga on 13 December and Sporting on 27 December may go on sale close together, so set up your slbenfica.pt account early if you are after both.
  • Your seat is your seatBenfica requires every spectator to sit in the seat printed on their ticket, so groups should book together rather than plan to regroup inside.
  • Rail from the cityBesides the Metro, CP suburban trains stop at Benfica and Sete Rios, the two stations the club lists near the ground.
  • Allow for the searchBags are checked at entry and alcohol cannot be brought in; for a Sunday game with a big crowd, aim to be at the gates well before kick-off.

Where to sit at Estadio Da Luz

Benfica divides the stadium into four floors. Floor 3 is the vast upper ring and maps to the "Upper Tier" listings, where this match's resale prices start. "Middle Tier" covers the levels between the top ring and pitch level, Floors 1 and 2, home to the presidential box and the members' boxes. "Shortside" listings are behind a goal.

At pitch level, Floor 0 has two features worth knowing: sectors 28 and 5-6 are special-access areas for organised Benfica supporters, and the front rows A and B are so low that the club suggests a height of at least 1.70 m to see the whole pitch. Benfica publishes no away section on its ticket pages, so Braga's allocation is not something we can place for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is Benfica v Braga sold out?

No, it has not gone on sale yet at the club. Benfica will open it in turns, first to Red Pass holders, then to members, then to registered fans and the public, most likely around three weeks before the game. Resale seats are already listed on Hellotickets for fans who want to book now.

What time is kick-off for Benfica v Braga?

Not known yet. Benfica's calendar lists Sunday 13 December 2026 with the time still to be defined, and the date is provisional until the league fixes its schedule. Lisbon is on the same clock as the UK in December, so the announced time will also be UK time.

How much are Benfica v Braga tickets?

Benfica has not released prices. For a recent league home game against Alverca, members paid from €20 and the public from €30. On the resale market, seats on Hellotickets start at £53 in the Upper Tier, checked 5 Nov 2026; sellers set those prices themselves.

Can I buy Benfica v Braga tickets without being a member?

Possibly. Benfica's public phase comes after Red Pass holders and paid-up members, so non-members can only buy from the club if seats remain at that stage. Register a fan account on slbenfica.pt in advance. Otherwise, resale listings on Hellotickets do not require membership.

Where is Benfica v Braga played?

At the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, officially the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, on Avenida Eusébio da Silva Ferreira in the Luz neighbourhood. Take the Metro Blue Line to Colégio Militar/Luz or Alto dos Moinhos, or a Carris bus to Estrada da Luz.
