  2. East Stand: Along the east touchline. Level 3 gives a high view of the whole pitch.
  3. South Stand: Behind the south goal. Loudest home fans, with away fans in one corner.

Simple plan, not to scale.

The Etihad Stadium seating plan has four stands around one continuous bowl: the East Stand, the South Stand, the Colin Bell Stand and the Pep Guardiola Stand. It holds 61,038 for 2026/27. Each block number begins with its level, and your ticket names your entrance. For the best view, pick Level 1 on the long sides.

Upcoming matches at the ground are on the Etihad Stadium tickets page. Manchester City fixtures, with their sale status, are on the Manchester City tickets page.

How does the Etihad Stadium seating plan work?

To read the Etihad Stadium seating plan, find your stand, then your level, then your block. Levels are the bands of seating stacked around the pitch, and blocks are the numbered slices of each band. Your entrance is the lettered gate you use. The stadium is the home of Manchester City, a Premier League football club, on the Etihad Campus in east Manchester, postcode M11 3FF.

The 61,038 capacity comes from the Premier League Handbook for 2026/27. It grew after the North Stand was expanded and renamed the Pep Guardiola Stand in May 2026.

Stand Where it is Who sits there Blocks Key feature
East Stand Along the east touchline Home fans, plus hospitality guests 001-011, 101-111, 301-309 Side-on view. Many fans call it the Kippax, though that is not its official name
South Stand Behind the south goal City’s loudest home fans, and away fans 013-019, 112-120, 313-318 Three tiers, with 4,995 rail seats in the lower tier
Colin Bell Stand Along the west touchline Home fans, plus Tunnel Club guests 021-031, 121-131, 322-330 Side-on view. The team arrives on the Blue Carpet outside it
Pep Guardiola Stand Behind the north goal, by the Etihad Campus tram stop Home fans and families 032-042, 132-142, plus the new tier The former North Stand, with about 7,900 extra seats, a Skybar on top and a rail-seating area

Rail seats are seats fitted with a rail, so that fans can stand safely. City’s published block map still says North Stand and shows only that stand’s two lower rings, so check the new tier on City’s ticket website when you buy.

The club’s access statement calls the ground an outdoor venue with a roof overhang, so rain and wind may affect seats at pitch level and in the upper tiers.

How do block numbers and entrances work at the Etihad?

Etihad block numbers show your level through their first digit: 0 for Level 0 at pitch side, 1 for Level 1 and 3 for Level 3. On the East and Colin Bell Stands, numbered private boxes sit between Level 1 and Level 3. So Block 016 is at pitch side in the South Stand, and Block 326 is at the top of the Colin Bell Stand.

City’s stadium map prints an entrance letter under each block. This table groups them, but trust your ticket if it differs:

Entrance Stand Blocks
B East and north 001-004, 037-042
C East and north 101, 102, 137-142, 301, 302
E East 303-305
G East 306, 307, 309
J East 107-111, 308
K East 005-011
L1, L2, L3 South, away fans 013, 113, 313, and parts of 014, 112, 114, 314
M1, M2 South 015, 315, 316, and parts of 014, 314
N1, N2 South 115-120, 317, 318, and part of 114
P South and west 016-019, 021-025
R West 121-123, 323, 324
T West 322, 325, 326
V West 327, 328, 330
X West and north 127-136, 329
Y West and north 027-036

City’s published Etihad Stadium seating plan shows blocks, not seat numbers. Row and seat numbers appear on your mobile ticket, and on the seat map on the club’s ticket website when you choose.

Where are the best seats at the Etihad Stadium?

The best seats at the Etihad Stadium for the view are on Level 1 of the Colin Bell and East Stands, a raised but close spot over the touchline. Level 3 of the East Stand shows the whole pitch from high up. Your best seat depends on what matters to you:

  • Best for noise: the South Stand lower tier and its rail seats, the heart of the home support. The rail-seating area in the Pep Guardiola Stand is the alternative at the other end.
  • Best for families: the north end, long known as the Family Stand and still sold under that name.
  • Best for value: the opponent matters more than the stand, so pick a game with a lower starting price.
  • Best for comfort: the Tunnel Club in the Colin Bell Stand, or the Skybar on top of the Pep Guardiola Stand. Hospitality means paying more for food, drink and lounges.
  • Think twice if: you dislike heights. The access statement warns that some areas, particularly the upper tiers, have steep steps.

How much are tickets at the Etihad Stadium?

Adult tickets at the Etihad Stadium start at £20 for City members in 2026/27, and the starting price changes with the visiting club. A member is a fan who pays for a yearly plan, and home tickets go to members. Under-18 tickets start at £12.50.

Adults from Games at that level
£20 Hull City
£30 Fulham, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Brentford
£35 Everton
£40 Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester United
£53 Newcastle

City group areas into price bands, not block by block. The 2026/27 bands are:

  • Level 0 of the Family Stand and South Stand, with Level 3 of the South Stand.
  • Level 1 of the Family Stand and South Stand.
  • Level 0 of the East and Colin Bell Stands, with Level 3 of the East Stand.
  • Level 1 of the East and Colin Bell Stands.

Each match page shows the price for each band. Membership costs £65 for Premium, £38 for Matchday and £20 for Junior. The Manchester City membership guide compares them, and the Manchester City season ticket guide covers a seat for the whole season.

Where do away fans sit at the Etihad Stadium?

Away fans at the Etihad Stadium sit in the South Stand and enter through L1, L2 and L3. City’s map puts the section in the south-east corner, in Blocks 013, 113 and 313 and parts of the blocks beside them. That means they share a stand with City’s loudest fans.

  • Arrival: turnstiles, the entry gates, open two hours before kick-off. Pre-arranged ticket collections are at the South Stand Ticket Office.
  • Coaches: they park on the Grey Car Park opposite the away turnstiles.
  • Flags: small flags can hang at the rear of Level 0.
  • After the game: visiting fans may be held in briefly.
  • Step-free access: visiting fans can use accessible entrance M.

What accessible seating does the Etihad Stadium have?

The Etihad Stadium has raised wheelchair platforms at the back of all four stands, each with a seat beside it for a companion, according to City’s 2025/26 access statement. More wheelchair spaces sit higher up in the Colin Bell and East Stands. To book, call +44 (0)161 444 1894, option 2, or email access@mancity.com.

  • Entrances: home fans can use step-free entrances D, H, S and W, which have no traditional turnstiles and include lifts where needed.
  • Personal assistants: eligible disabled fans aged 14 or over can bring one free of charge, with evidence sent in advance.
  • Easy-access seats: disabled fans who can walk can sit anywhere with a personal assistant, subject to availability. Step-free seats are limited.
  • Sensory needs: the Sensory Room takes eight supporters per match and must be booked, and the Access Team can arrange Sensory Bags.
  • Blind and partially sighted fans: free audio commentary, booked at least three days ahead.
  • Changing Places toilet: Level 1 of the South Stand, Block 119.

What does the Etihad Stadium seating plan look like for concerts?

On the Etihad Stadium concert seating plan, the stands stay as they are and the pitch turns into a floor area, with a layout set by each show. The stadium holds about 60,000 for concerts, according to Wikipedia. Look at the plan on your own seller’s page, because stage positions differ between tours.

The big dates are Oasis Live ’27, with Richard Ashcroft as special guest. Official Charts lists 11 Etihad nights in June 2027, from Friday 4 June to Saturday 26 June. Standard tickets started at £71.50 including fees, sold through Ticketmaster to fans with a registration code.

  • Floor or seat: the floor is closest to the stage. A seat gives you a fixed place and a view over the crowd.
  • Levels: your block number still begins with your level.
  • Travel: check your last tram before you book. The access statement advises waiting a little before leaving to avoid the crowds, especially if Co-op Live, the arena next door, has an event too.

How do you get to the Etihad Stadium?

Metrolink tram is the simplest route to the Etihad Stadium, because the Etihad Campus stop is right outside the Pep Guardiola Stand. Trams from Manchester Piccadilly take 8-10 minutes.

How Details
Tram Etihad Campus stop. Holt Town stop is the alternative, with a signposted 15-minute walk called Citylink

What happens when you arrive at the Etihad Stadium?

When you arrive at the Etihad Stadium, go to the entrance on your ticket and tap your phone on the reader. Turnstiles for general admission, meaning normal seats, open two hours before kick-off, and City asks fans to be in their seats at least 15 minutes before it.

City’s Supporter Charter gives this example for a 3pm kick-off:

Time What happens
11.30am City Kids Fanzone
Midday Hospitality gates open
12.30pm Blue Carpet build-up begins
1pm General admission gates open
2.45pm Fans encouraged to be in their seats
2.55pm Teams come out
  • Tickets: download your NFC mobile ticket to Apple or Google Wallet and hold the back of your phone on the TAP reader. NFC simply means tap to enter. Screenshots do not work.
  • Bags: small bags up to A4 size (12 x 8 x 3 in). Parents with young children can bring small backpacks of childcare essentials.
  • Bag storage: City’s 2026/27 Supporter Charter lists a store on the orange car park at £10 for match buyers. Its matchday page listed £12 in the Grey Car Park, so travel light if you can.
  • Payment: card or phone only.
  • Children: under-14s must sit next to an adult aged 18 or over. Under-5s can enter free without a seat, and everyone aged 5 or over needs a ticket.
  • Age checks: a strict Challenge 25 policy applies, and smoking and e-cigarettes are banned.

What mistakes should you avoid at the Etihad Stadium?

Most problems at the Etihad Stadium come from an out-of-date map, a membership bought for the wrong game or a late arrival. Watch out for these:

  • Following an out-of-date map. The North Stand is now the Pep Guardiola Stand, and it has a new tier.
  • Joining for one big game. Some games give priority to members who bought three or more home league games across 2024/25 and 2025/26, so check before you pay.
  • Expecting four tickets every time. Some games allow only one ticket per member.
  • Arriving late. Security checks take time, so give yourself room.

What to do now (as of 31 October 2026)

As of 31 October 2026, City’s members’ sales are open for several home games, and a few are held back for a later release. Do this first: join as a member if you are not one, then pick a game:

Date Game Adults from Status
Saturday 21 November 2026, 12.30pm Manchester City v Fulham £30 Members’ sale open, up to four tickets
Wednesday 2 December 2026, 7.30pm Manchester City v Leeds £30 For members who bought three or more home league games in 2024-26

Sunday 3 January 2027, 4.30pm Manchester City v Tottenham £40 Members’ sale open, one ticket each

For a sold-out game, look for resale seats at live prices beside each event on the Etihad Stadium tickets page.

Start with the stand, then the block. The block number starts with the level: 0 at pitch side, 1 above it and 3 at the top. City's stadium map prints an entrance letter under each block, and your mobile ticket shows your own entrance, block, row and seat, so follow the ticket on the day.

What is the Pep Guardiola Stand at the Etihad?

The Pep Guardiola Stand is the new name for the expanded North Stand, behind the north goal and next to the Etihad Campus tram stop. The expansion added about 7,900 seats, a Skybar with premium seating on top and a rail-seating area. It opened fully for City's final league game of 2025/26 and was renamed in May 2026.

Which stand is the family stand at the Etihad?

The north end, now called the Pep Guardiola Stand, has long been the Family Stand, and City's 2026/27 price bands still use that name for its Level 0 and Level 1. Whichever stand you choose, children under 14 must be with an adult aged 18 or over who sits next to them.

Where do away fans sit at the Etihad Stadium?

Away fans sit in the south-east corner of the South Stand, which they share with City's loudest home fans. They go in through entrances L1, L2 and L3, where turnstiles open two hours before kick-off, and collect any pre-arranged tickets at the South Stand Ticket Office. They may be held back briefly after the match.
