Saturday 20 February 2027 is the provisional date, at the Etihad Stadium in east Manchester. Kick-off is TBC, and both day and time can change when the televised games for that round are chosen.
A 3pm Saturday kick-off would fall in the UK blackout, so the match would not be shown live on British TV; if it moves, the broadcaster's listings will name the channel. Either way, check City's match page before you travel.

How to get Manchester City v Newcastle tickets
City's 2026/27 rule is simple to state: men's home tickets are sold to Official Members only, with general sale kept for a limited number of matches. For Newcastle, the open phase is generous on eligibility and strict on numbers. Any Official Member, including someone who joins today, can buy, but only one ticket per membership, with adult prices starting at £53. Matchday Membership costs £38 a season, Premium £65 and Junior £20; Season Ticket Members already have the game included.
If the members' sale passes you by, City run a further release several weeks before the match, once the date and kick-off are confirmed. It includes seats that Season Ticket Members cannot use and list on the Ticket Exchange, and no date has been published. Hospitality is on sale separately.
Without membership, resale is the remaining option. Seats listed on Hellotickets carry prices set by their sellers, sometimes above face value, and you see the final price before paying. The club route at member prices is usually the cheaper one. Our Manchester City Membership guide explains each tier; for Newcastle's own fixtures, see Newcastle tickets.
Good to know before you go
- One membership, one seatEach Official Member can buy a single ticket in the current sale, so a group needs a membership per person, with Junior Membership (£20) for younger fans.
- Standing areasRail seating covers the South Stand lower tier, with 4,995 rail seats, and an area of the Pep Guardiola Stand. Check the block if you would rather sit.
- Leave the carParking near the Etihad must be booked in advance, so the tram to Etihad Campus or a Bee Network bus along Ashton New Road is often simpler.
- Resale tickets: timingBought on Hellotickets? Tickets are sent as soon as Hellotickets receives them from the seller, sometimes up to 1–2 days before the event.
Where to sit at Etihad Stadium
City's own price bands give a good picture of the ground. They pair the two ends, the Pep Guardiola Stand (sold as the Family Stand) to the north and the South Stand to the south, and the two sides, the East Stand and the Colin Bell Stand, then split them by level, from Level 0 upwards.
The South Stand is the one to understand: it holds 4,995 rail seats in its lower tier, most of City's vocal fans and the away section, where Newcastle supporters will be. Hellotickets lists a "South Stand Lower Tier" zone for this game, so check where in the stand a seat is. Elsewhere, Shortside listings are behind a goal, Longside along a touchline and Central near halfway, and a "Colin Bell Stand Lower Tier" zone covers the west side close to the pitch. The Etihad Stadium seating plan shows every block.
Frequently asked questions
Is it difficult to get Man City tickets?
Harder for some games than others. For Newcastle, any Official Member can buy, new or existing, but only one ticket each, which makes group trips harder. The toughest are Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Leeds, which City prioritise for members with 3+ home league purchases across 2024/25 and 2025/26.
How much are Manchester City v Newcastle tickets?
Through the club, Official Members can buy one ticket each, with adult prices from £53. Resale seats listed on Hellotickets start at £86 in the Shortside Lower Tier (checked 5 Nov 2026). Sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay.
Can I buy Manchester City v Newcastle tickets without being a member?
Not from City, as men's home tickets go to Official Members only in 2026/27. For Newcastle the bar is low, though: new members can buy too, one ticket each, and Matchday Membership costs £38 a season. Hospitality is sold separately, and resale listings on Hellotickets are the non-member route.
Is Manchester City v Newcastle sold out?
At the last official check (5 Nov 2026), the match was on sale at the official seller to new and existing Official Members, one ticket each, with hospitality also available. A further release, including Ticket Exchange seats, follows several weeks before the game, once the date and kick-off are confirmed.
What time is kick-off for Manchester City v Newcastle?
It is TBC. The match is provisionally on Saturday 20 February 2027 at the Etihad Stadium, and the Premier League confirms the final date and time later. If it stays at 3pm on the Saturday, it will not be broadcast live in the UK because of the blackout.
