How to get Borussia Dortmund v Freiburg tickets

BVB have dated the presale for this game: members can buy from midday German time on Thursday 12 November, up to six tickets each, and no open sale is listed. The club's process is consistent from game to game, and it rewards preparation more than speed alone.

Step one: membership

Adult BVB membership costs €62 a year and is what opens the presale. Members get into the online ticket shop ahead of anyone else and can buy between two and ten tickets, depending on the game; for this one the limit is six.

Step two: the presale date

Sales usually start four to six weeks before the match, and this one follows the pattern. The schedule on bvb.de gives the member dates and only sometimes an open presale for non-members; none is listed for Freiburg. The shop uses a Queue-it waiting room.

Step three: the secondary market

When most day tickets have gone, BVB's Official Secondary Market opens, at the day-ticket price plus a 10% fee, members-only if the sale was.

Freiburg carries no top-match surcharge, so the standard face values apply: standing from €18.50, Category 6 seats from €35 and Category 1 from €85. The club notes that tickets often sell out very quickly and do not reach a general sale.

Resale is the fall-back for non-members: seats listed on Hellotickets have prices set by sellers, and the final amount is shown before you pay. Mainz visit the week before; later in the month come Borussia Dortmund v Hoffenheim tickets and Borussia Dortmund v AEK Athens tickets.

Where to sit at Signal Iduna Park

The ground is a rectangle of four roofed stands. Behind the south goal, the Südtribüne or Yellow Wall is a single huge terrace for Bundesliga games. The Westtribüne (blocks 20-27 and 30-34) and Osttribüne (blocks 40-54) each have two tiers along the touchlines. Behind the north goal, the Nordtribüne carries the away section, which continues into the north-east corner.

Hellotickets uses a mix of stand names and price categories. Standing and Südtribüne listings are on the Yellow Wall; Category 3, 2 and 1 and the Silver and Gold bands are seats; "Kurve" is a corner. In January, a seat under the roof of the side stands keeps you out of the weather, and remember that away colours are banned in the south-east and south-west corners.

Without membership, hard. The presale goes to members one to two days before any open sale, and BVB say tickets often sell out very quickly without a general sale. With membership and some patience in the Queue-it waiting room, a game like Freiburg is far more realistic.

How much are Borussia Dortmund v Freiburg tickets?

BVB's face values start at €18.50 for standing, €35 for a Category 6 seat and €85 for Category 1, with no surcharge for this game. On the resale market, seats listed on Hellotickets start at £95 in the Category 3, checked 5 Nov 2026.

Can I buy Borussia Dortmund v Freiburg tickets without being a member?

Not at the moment: BVB list a members' presale for this game and no open sale, though they do add one for some games. Adult membership costs €62 a year and opens the presale window to you, though not to tickets. Resale on Hellotickets needs no membership.

Is Borussia Dortmund v Freiburg sold out?
