How to get Borussia Dortmund v FSV Mainz 05 tickets

Nothing is on open sale yet, but the first date is set: the members' pre-sale for this game opens on 11 November at 12pm German time (11am UK), with up to six tickets per member. bvb.de lists no open sale for it.

  1. Become a member. Adult BVB membership costs €62 a year and gives access to the presale, one to two days before any open sale.
  2. Watch the presale schedule. bvb.de lists the member dates and, only sometimes, an open presale date for non-members. The online ticket shop uses a Queue-it waiting room.
  3. Fall back on the Official Secondary Market. It opens a few days after the presale, once most day tickets have gone, at the day-ticket price plus a 10% service fee, and stays members-only if the sale was.

Standing on the Südtribüne is BVB's lowest face value, from €18.50; seats start at €35 in Category 6 and €85 in Category 1. Mainz carries no top-match surcharge. The club warns that tickets often sell out very quickly and do not go on general sale.

If none of that works for you, seats listed on Hellotickets come from sellers who set their own prices; the final price is shown before you pay. Every BVB home date is on Borussia Dortmund tickets, and the Freiburg home game is on Borussia Dortmund v Freiburg tickets.

Where to sit at Signal Iduna Park

The Südtribüne holds 24,454 standing places for league games, in blocks 10-15 and 80-84 behind the south goal. It is Europe's largest standing terrace, and the "Standing", "Südtribüne" and "Sudtribune" listings on Hellotickets are there. Standing tickets cannot be used with a child on your lap, so families should choose seats.

Seats are in the two-tier Westtribüne and Osttribüne along the touchlines, in the Nordtribüne behind the north goal, where the away section and the north-east corner are, and in the corners, listed as "Kurve". The REWE family block is in the north-west corner. Mainz colours are banned in BVB's standing blocks and in the south-east and south-west corners.
