Benfica v Porto: date, kick-off and how to watch

O Clássico comes to Lisbon on Sunday 28 February 2027: Benfica v Porto at the Estádio da Luz, the fixture between Portugal's two most successful clubs. Benfica's calendar gives the date, provisionally, and leaves the kick-off open.

Club status: not on sale yet at the official seller (checked 5 Nov 2026).

Resale on Hellotickets starts at £164 in the Upper Tier, checked 5 Nov 2026.

For this one game, Benfica's priority order decides nearly everything: Red Pass holders and paid-up members come before the public, and a Clássico may not have much left by the time the public phase arrives.

The Clássico is listed for Sunday 28 February 2027 at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the Luz, with the kick-off marked as to be defined. Nothing is fixed yet, so treat both the day and the time as provisional.

Lisbon is on the same time as the UK at the end of February. UK viewers should look for the broadcasters' confirmation once the schedule is published; we do not name a channel before it is announced.

Official ticketing

Not on sale yet at the clubchecked 5 Nov

Not on sale yet at the club (no sale dates announced); Sun 28 Feb, kick-off time still to be set.

  • Sale not announced (shop lists only fixtures to 5 Nov); usual order: Red Pass, members, then registered fans and public · to come

Membership: Sócio (member with dues paid) and Red Pass season ticket; registered-fan account for public sales.

How to get Benfica v Porto tickets

Benfica has not dated the sale. The structure, though, is known, and for the Clássico it works like a funnel.

Red Pass holders

Season ticket holders already have their seats and get first access to any extra tickets.

Sócios

Members with paid-up dues buy next, at the member price. For most fans abroad, membership is the only realistic way into the official sale for this match.

Registered fans and the public

Casa Benfica members, registered fans and the general public buy last, if seats remain. For ordinary league games this phase has opened a day after members, but a Clássico is a different proposition.

League sales have started roughly three weeks before kick-off; for comparison, the Alverca game was priced from €20 for members and €30 for the public, and Benfica has not published Porto prices. Purchases are limited to five tickets, each in a holder's name, with no refunds or exchanges. Channels: slbenfica.pt, the app, the Bilheteira Centenário, Benfica Official Stores and Casas do Benfica.

Red Pass holders who cannot attend can resell through the club's Mercado Secundário when the board activates it, so members should watch the app in the final days. Everyone else can compare seats listed on Hellotickets now; sellers set their own prices and the final price is shown before you pay. The visitors' fixtures are on Porto tickets.

Good to know before you go

  • Membership is the keyFor the Clássico, the Red Pass and member phases take priority, so becoming a sócio well before February is the surest official route.
  • Watch the Mercado SecundárioWhen Benfica's board activates it, Red Pass holders can resell their seats officially through the app or site, and members may find tickets there.
  • Be early for the searchEveryone is searched at entry, and alcohol, fireworks and pyrotechnics are banned; on Clássico day, give yourself extra time at the gates.
  • Same seat all gameBenfica requires spectators to stay in the seat on their ticket, so groups should buy adjacent seats rather than plan to meet up inside.

Where to sit at Estadio Da Luz

The Luz seats 68,100 across four floors. "Upper Tier" listings are on Floor 3, the biggest level, where resale prices for this match start. It gives you the full sweep of the stands and the pitch. "Middle Tier" seats are on Floors 1 and 2, close to the presidential box and the members' boxes. "Shortside" means behind a goal.

Sectors 28 and 5-6 on pitch-level Floor 0 are reserved for Benfica's organised supporters. Some listings for this match are sold as "seller's choice", where the seller assigns the block. Benfica does not publish where Porto's fans are housed, so if you want to sit among home supporters, check the block on your listing with the seller.

Frequently asked questions

Is Benfica v Porto sold out?

Not yet, because Benfica has not opened the sale. When it does, Red Pass holders and paid-up members buy first, and for a Clássico few seats may reach the public. Resale seats are listed on Hellotickets for fans who are not members.

What time is kick-off for Benfica v Porto?

It has not been announced. Benfica's calendar lists Sunday 28 February 2027 with the time to be defined, and the date is provisional. Lisbon and the UK are on the same clock in February, so the kick-off time will be identical in both.

How much are Benfica v Porto tickets?

Benfica has not released prices. For a recent league home game against Alverca, members paid from €20 and the public from €30, but the Clássico is the most sought-after league fixture of the season. Resale seats on Hellotickets start at £164 in the Upper Tier, checked 5 Nov 2026.

Can I buy Benfica v Porto tickets without being a member?

Only if seats remain after Red Pass holders and members, which is far from certain for this fixture. You would need a registered-fan account on slbenfica.pt. Resale listings on Hellotickets are open to anyone without membership, with prices set by sellers.

Where do Porto fans sit at the Estádio da Luz?

Benfica does not publish the away section on its ticket pages, so we cannot name one. If you are buying resale and want to sit with home fans, check the block with the seller before paying.
