Atletico Madrid v Real Sociedad: date, kick-off and how to watch

Real Sociedad come down from San Sebastián for La Liga round 20 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, on the weekend of 16-17 January 2027. The day is not fixed, as Atlético still show "Saturday or Sunday", so Sunday 17 January is provisional and kick-off is TBC.

At the club the game is on sale at the official seller (checked 5 Nov 2026).

Resale seats on Hellotickets start at £62 in the Lateral Grada Alta, checked 5 Nov 2026.

The general sale has been open to everyone since midday on 24 September 2026, two days after socios got first pick, so you can buy straight from Atlético with no membership.

Atlético's ticket list gives "Jornada 20 - Sábado 16 o domingo 17 de enero, Sin confirmar". The weekend is set; the day and the kick-off will come from LaLiga. Since tickets are already on sale, keep both days open if you buy now.

The venue is the Riyadh Air Metropolitano in the Rosas neighbourhood of north-east Madrid. Spanish time is one hour ahead of the UK. No UK channel is confirmed; La Liga broadcasters name their games once times are published.

How to get Atletico Madrid v Real Sociedad tickets

Atlético sell home tickets online through atleticodemadrid.com, which takes you to the club's ticket shop. For Real Sociedad the timeline was:

22 September 2026, midday: members' priority sale opens. The club promises socios 48-hour pre-sales and discounts.
24 September 2026, midday: general sale opens to the public, and it was still running at the last check.
Hospitality: VIP seats are on sale separately via Neptuno-Atlético de Madrid Premium.

To buy as a member next time, the adult Socio card (age 25 and over) costs €78 for 2027; the club says new members get the rest of 2026 free. It is not required for this match, as the public sale is open.

Atlético's site never shows sold-out labels, and the shop is protected by a security check, so open it to see which areas are still available. Real Sociedad's supporters should arrange their tickets through their own club; see Real Sociedad tickets.

Resale is there if the shop does not have what you want. Seats listed on Hellotickets come from sellers who set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. The club sale is usually cheaper while it is open. Two weeks later Atlético are at home again: Atletico Madrid v Espanyol tickets.

Where to sit at Riyadh Air Metropolitano

Opened in 2017 and holding 70,813, the Metropolitano is a four-sided, three-tier bowl. The Lateral Oeste (west) and Lateral Este (east) are the touchline stands, with VIP lounges reached from the west side's middle tier; the Fondo Norte and Fondo Sur are the ends. The tiers are the grada baja, grada media and grada alta, and the roof covers about 96% of spectators.

Resale for this game starts in the Lateral Grada Alta, the upper tier along a touchline, a good way to see the whole pitch for the entry price. The Lateral Grada Baja is the lower side tier. Fondo Grada Baja and Fondo Grada Alta are the lower and upper ends. The Category 1 to 4, Silver and Gold listings are price bands without a stand name, Palcos are boxes and Bench Experience is a premium package. Atlético do not publish an away section.
