Barcelona membership: what it costs, what you get and how to join

FC Barcelona membership costs from €225 for an adult and from €112 for a child aged 6 to 14, and fans in the UK can join online. It brings pre-sales, a chance to buy tickets early, and discounts, but no season seat this season. You do not need Barcelona membership to buy tickets for most home games.

Planning a trip? The Barcelona tickets page shows what is on sale for each game, and La Liga tickets covers the Spanish league.

What is Barcelona membership?

Barcelona membership means becoming a soci, a full member of FC Barcelona. The club is owned by its members, and a soci has a voice and a vote in club decisions.

FC Barcelona is a Spanish football club based in Barcelona, in the north-east of Spain. Its home is Spotify Camp Nou, in the Les Corts district. The stadium is still being rebuilt, and the club said in March 2026 that available capacity had risen to 62,652.

Fans often mix up four things, so here they are side by side. Culers is the club’s fan account, and a penya is an official supporters’ club.

How much does Barcelona membership cost?

Barcelona membership costs from €225 for an adult and from €112 for a child aged 6 to 14, according to the club’s “Become a member” page. Registering a child aged 0 to 5 is free, and the two paid plans run until 31 December 2027.

The club charges in euros, so your bank turns the payment into pounds. Match tickets are always extra, because the fee does not include a seat at any game. The page does not say what the next period will cost, so check before you renew.

What do you get with Barcelona membership?

Barcelona membership gives an adult discounts and pre-sales in ticketing, plus 10% off in Barça stores and 25% off catering. Pre-sales let members buy before the general public.

The club’s advantages page also lists these benefits for members:

• Tickets at other venues: Palau Blaugrana, the Estadi Johan Cruyff, the stadium tour and museum, away trips and children’s tickets.
• Discounts: the official store, catering and the ice rink.
• Activities: a photo with the team and a basketball tournament.
• Club media: Barça TV+, the app for members and Barça Magazine.
• A say in the club: a voice and a vote in club decisions.

For a fan in the UK, the benefits that matter most are the pre-sales, the vote and the feeling of belonging. Store and catering discounts help only if you visit often.

Do you need to be a member to buy Barcelona tickets?

No, you do not need to be a member to buy most Barcelona tickets. FC Barcelona sells single tickets for Spotify Camp Nou online once a game is released, and its match pages ask for no membership. A game not yet released shows “Let Me Know”, a sign-up to hear when tickets go on sale.

Groups of 7+ have their own packages. Bigger games can be different. As of 31 October 2026, Basic tickets for Barcelona v Manchester City are for club members only, while Basic Plus and VIP Premium are open to everyone. That is where membership changes what you can buy.

How many Barcelona games can a member see?

A new Barcelona member can see as many games as they can buy, one at a time, because membership includes no match tickets. There is no set number. Your limits are your budget, your travel and what is on sale.

Do you want one or two trips a season? Then a member and a non-member usually have the same choice of games. A member can also use pre-sales and discounts.

Away games work differently. The club’s members’ windows come first, then supporters’ clubs, and some home clubs sell directly. Espanyol lists Espanyol v Barcelona on Sunday 3 January 2027, and you need a login there to see what is left.

Can a new Barcelona member get a Season Pass?

No, a new Barcelona member cannot get a Season Pass for 2026/27, because the club sold it only to members who held one in 2025/26. The Season Pass replaces the season ticket while Spotify Camp Nou is rebuilt. It covers men’s LaLiga, Copa del Rey and Champions League games at the stadium.

Each member could buy one pass, and had to be up to date with fees and free of any sanction. The club’s Season Pass news gives no price in euros. Its members’ pass page has a “Zones and prices” section, so look there for the Barcelona season pass price. The club says the system stays in force until the end of 2026/27. Season ticket holder status remains suspended, so judge membership on its other benefits.

How do you become a Barcelona member from the UK?

You become a Barcelona member by filling in the online form on the club’s “Become a member” page. Until June 2021, most new members needed a close relative who was a soci, or years in a penya. The board then lifted those limits, and fans anywhere in the world can now join.

1. Open “Become a member” on fcbarcelona.com.
2. Choose your plan: Adult, Children (6-14) or free registration for a child aged 0-5.
3. Complete the online registration and pay.
4. Follow your application online. The club has a page for this.
5. Wait for your membership card. It goes to the address on your form, and the club estimates two weeks.

Visiting Barcelona? You can also register in person at the Barcelona Supporter Services Office, by appointment.

What is a penya, and is it a better route for UK fans?

A penya is an official FC Barcelona supporters’ club, and it is often the better route for fans who travel with a group. The club says it has passed 110,000 registered penya members. Its world list includes the Penya Blaugrana London of Great Britain, Penya Union Blaugrana in Newcastle upon Tyne and Penya Barcelonista Átha Cliath in Dublin.

1. Create a Barça Account, and validate your email and phone.
2. Fill in your details and ask to join your penya.
3. Once its manager confirms you, a digital penya card arrives by email.

• Home games: each penya buys through its own login, with a discount added automatically. Handling charges stop at €2.50 a ticket. With Smartbooking, it picks an area, buys six tickets at most at a time and gets exact seats 48 hours before kick-off.
• Away games: each penya member applies from their own portal profile, after six months’ registration. Applying does not mean you get a ticket. Tickets are personal, and you collect them in the host city with ID or a passport.

For example, penya members could request tickets for the Champions League trip to Baku at €7.50, until 14 October.

Is Barcelona membership worth it for a UK fan?

Barcelona membership is worth it for UK fans who visit often or want a real say in the club. If you are planning one trip, a single ticket is the simpler buy.

• Best for: fans with a lasting tie to the club who want a vote and pre-sales.
• Not worth it if: you only want to see one game. Basic and Basic Plus tickets already include the museum and a scarf.
• Bringing children? Registering a child aged 0-5 is free. The 6-14 plan adds a photo with the first teams, conditions apply.
• Coming as a group? Groups of 7+ have packages, and a penya can book together.
• Disabled fans? The club’s members’ section has a page on areas with easy access, so start there.

What mistakes should you avoid with Barcelona membership?

The most common Barcelona membership mistakes are treating Culers as membership, expecting a season seat and thinking the fee covers games.

• Confusing Culers with membership. Culers and Culers Premium do not make you a soci.
• Expecting a season seat. The Season Pass is closed to newcomers this season.
• Joining late for a big game. Your card takes about two weeks, so join well before you need a pre-sale.
• Forgetting the time difference. The club lists kick-offs in Spanish time, one hour ahead of the UK.

What should UK fans know about matchday at Spotify Camp Nou?

Matchday at Spotify Camp Nou runs on digital tickets, and gates open an hour and a half before kick-off. The stadium is in the Les Corts district of Barcelona, and it is easy to reach by metro.

• Your ticket: the club sends it between 24 and 3 hours before kick-off, with your entrance. Have your ticket and ID ready at the gate.
• Metro: take line L3 to Palau Reial, Les Corts, Maria Cristina or Zona Universitària, or line L5 to Collblanc, Badal or Ernest Lluch.
• From the airport: line L9 Sud runs from Barcelona-El Prat Airport and stops at Collblanc and Zona Universitària.
• Bags: laptops, pushchairs, power banks and long pointed umbrellas are not allowed, and there is no left-luggage room.
