Atletico Madrid v Espanyol: date, kick-off and how to watch

Espanyol, Barcelona's second club, travel to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano for La Liga round 22 on the weekend of 30-31 January 2027. Atlético still list the game as "Saturday or Sunday", so Sunday 31 January is provisional, with kick-off TBC.

The official status reads not on sale yet at the official seller (checked 5 Nov 2026).

On Hellotickets, resale seats currently start at £63 in Category 2, checked 5 Nov 2026.

The earlier January home games against Racing Santander and Real Sociedad went on general sale in late September, so this one should follow the same members-then-public sequence when Atlético release it.

The club's list reads "Jornada 22 - Sábado 30 o domingo 31 de enero, Sin confirmar". The final day and time depend on LaLiga's scheduling, so treat Sunday 31 January 2027 as a placeholder.

The match is at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on the north-east edge of Madrid, near the airport and the IFEMA exhibition centre. Spain runs an hour ahead of the UK. UK coverage is not confirmed; broadcasters announce their La Liga picks once times are fixed.

How to get Atletico Madrid v Espanyol tickets

Atlético de Madrid sell home tickets themselves, at atleticodemadrid.com. For Espanyol the sale has not started: the page shows "Sé el primero en comprar" with an Avísame alert in place of a buy button.

How the release works

Members go first. The club promises its socios 48-hour pre-sales, plus discounts on tickets; an adult Socio card (25 and over) costs €78 for 2027, and new members are not charged for the rest of 2026. Two days after the members' window opens, the general public can buy, with no membership needed. For Racing Santander and Real Sociedad in January, members bought from 22 September and the public from 24 September 2026.

Hospitality

VIP seats are not in the main shop; they are sold through Neptuno-Atlético de Madrid Premium.

Checking availability

Atlético's website shows no sold-out labels, and the shop sits behind a security check, so the only way to see what is left is to go into the shop once the sale is live.

Espanyol supporters travelling from Barcelona should go through their own club; see Espanyol tickets. For a seat now, seats listed on Hellotickets are on sale; sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. Atlético's own sale is usually the cheaper route once it opens.

Where to sit at Riyadh Air Metropolitano

The stadium opened in 2017 and holds 70,813 under a roof that covers about 96% of seats. It has two side stands, Lateral Oeste (west, with the VIP lounges reached from the middle tier) and Lateral Este, and two ends, Fondo Norte and Fondo Sur, each split into grada baja, grada media and grada alta.

For Espanyol, the resale table opens in Category 2, a price band that does not name a stand; Category 1, 3 and 4, Silver and Gold work the same way, so look at the block on each listing. Lateral Grada Alta and Lateral Grada Baja are the upper and lower side tiers, and Fondo Grada Alta and Fondo Grada Baja the upper and lower ends. Palcos are boxes and Bench Experience a premium package. The club does not publish an away section.
