Sunday 9 May 2027 is a reference date only. Liga Portugal sets each round's exact day and kick-off nearer the time, so the derby could move within that weekend, and no time has been given yet.

Lisbon runs on the same clock as the UK, so whatever kick-off is announced applies at home too. No UK channel is named in the fixture information. Wait for the confirmed schedule before you decide when to travel.

How to get Sporting Lisbon v Benfica tickets

No home game at Alvalade is harder to buy, and the club's order of sale explains why.

Season passes and members

Most of the stadium is held by Gamebox season passes, and both Gamebox options are marked 'Esgotado' (sold out) for 2026/27. Holders also get priority for home games their package does not cover. When the derby opens on tickets.sporting.pt, sócios then buy in windows set by seniority, oldest memberships first.

Registered supporters

Only after those windows can the 'Adeptos', Sporting's registered supporters, try for seats, and only if any are left. For a derby, there may be none. No dates had been announced at the last check.

Gameback and resale

Gameback is the club's own second chance: pass holders who cannot attend put their seat back on sale and receive cashback. Outside the club, seats listed on Hellotickets are open to anyone; sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay.

Benfica supporters should look first at their own club's away allocation; see Benfica tickets.

Where to sit at Estadio Jose De Alvalade

Alvalade is a four-sided ground of about 52,095 seats. The Bancada Sul, the South Goal End, is where Sporting's organised groups gather, and the Lion's Corner lounge sits in the Poente-Sul corner. The Bancada Norte closes the other end, and the Bancada Poente and Bancada Nascente line the west and east touchlines.

Benfica's fans go in sector A9, which can be widened to A7, A11, B7, B11 and B13, fenced and stewarded. On Hellotickets, "Shortside Tier" is a goal end and "Longside Tier" a touchline stand; the numbered categories and the Silver and Gold bands do not name a stand. Away-section listings are shown separately and are meant for visiting fans.

Frequently asked questions

How hard is it to get Sporting Lisbon tickets?

For the derby, very hard through the club. Gamebox season passes cover most seats and are sold out for 2026/27, and holders and sócios buy before anyone else. Registered supporters only get a phase if seats remain, and Gameback returns are the club's second chance.

Where can I buy tickets for Sporting Lisbon games?

Single-match tickets are sold on tickets.sporting.pt, where each fixture shows a 'Comprar bilhetes' button when its sale opens; season passes are on gamebox.sporting.pt. Resale seats for this derby are also listed on Hellotickets, with the final price shown before you pay.

How much are Sporting Lisbon v Benfica tickets?

Sporting have not priced the derby yet, as the sale has not opened. Resale seats listed on Hellotickets start at £305 in the Category 3, checked 5 Nov 2026; touchline seats and the Silver and Gold bands are listed higher.

Can I buy Sporting Lisbon v Benfica tickets without being a member?

Only if seats are left after Gamebox holders and members, when Sporting may open a window for registered supporters. For a derby that is far from certain. Without membership, the alternative is resale, where sellers set their own prices.

How to buy Benfica match tickets as a tourist?

For this derby at Alvalade, a visitor cannot count on the club sale: Gamebox holders and Sporting members buy first, and registered supporters only if seats remain. The open route is resale: seats listed on Hellotickets need no membership, and the final price is shown before you pay.
