Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga trip to the Volksparkstadion is provisionally dated Saturday 23 January 2027, with HSV's own page giving the weekend of 22 to 24 January and the league yet to confirm the day and kick-off time.

HSV has opened applications for official fan clubs, but no member or general sale had been announced at the last check: on sale at the official seller (5 Nov 2026). The club publishes the sale details for each home game on a matchday-numbered "Ticketinfos" page a few weeks beforehand, and this season's biggest games have gone to members only.

Saturday 23 January 2027 is the date the listings use. The Bundesliga had not fixed the slot at the last check, and HSV's page gives only the weekend of 22 to 24 January, so both the day and the kick-off are still open.

Only official fan clubs can apply so far, until 17 November 2026; member and general sale have not been announced. This season's pattern at HSV gives a clear idea of what to prepare.

Get membership and an HSV.ID. Every presale checks the HSV.ID account linked to your membership. For the Bayern game, members also had to verify it with a six-digit code in a "Pre-Warteraum", on one device each.
Watch hsv.de/tickets. The Ticketinfos page for the Dortmund matchday will appear a few weeks before the game, with the sale dates, the ticket limit and any waiting-room rules.
Expect a members' sale. Fan club applications come first: members of an official fan club who are also HSV members can apply until 17 November, and tickets are allocated after the deadline. Bayern (from 6 October) and Gladbach (from 29 September) both went to members only, with no free sale. The Dortmund page will say whether the same rule applies.
Check the Ticketbörse. If the game sells out, tickets that fans hand back go on sale again on the official HSV-Ticketbörse.

A member's ticket, bought from HSV, will cost far less than any resale seat. Where to sit at Volksparkstadion

Dortmund's supporters will have block 14A, the guest block, in a corner of the ground, with the South-West entrance kept for guest-area tickets at higher-risk matches.

HSV's terraces are in the Nordtribüne, the north stand behind the goal. The Westtribüne runs down the west touchline, with the Westplaza behind it for food and drink, and families have the HanseMerkur block, 08A to 08C, with children's activities at the back.

Listings use German tier names. Oberrang is the upper tier, the most affordable area for this game; Mittelrang is the middle tier; Unterrang is the lower tier, closest to the pitch. The listings do not say which stand a tier belongs to, so ask the seller if you want to avoid the corner next to the guest block.
