The only route now is the waiting list for 2027/28 onwards, which costs a one-off £10 non-refundable fee. Until a seat comes up, a Sky Blues membership, the club’s paid plan, lets you buy single match tickets.

What is a Coventry season ticket?

A Coventry season ticket is one payment for your own seat at every Premier League home game for a whole season, held as a digital pass on your phone. Coventry City, known as the Sky Blues, returned to the Premier League, England’s top division, for 2026/27.

The club plays at the Coventry Building Society Arena, on Jimmy Hill Way in the north of Coventry. The venue says its stadium bowl has 32,609 seats. It sits close to junction 3 of the M6, and it has its own railway station.

Three terms come up again and again. General admission means a normal seat, with no food or lounge included. Hospitality means a ticket with food and drink. A Sky Blues membership is a paid yearly plan that lets you buy single match tickets before other fans.

How much is a Coventry season ticket?

A Coventry season ticket for 2026/27 starts at £625 for an adult in the Standard and Family Zones, which the club describes as under £33 a game. A £10 processing fee applies to each ticket. A zone is a priced area of the ground, and the Premium Zone covers blocks 19, 20 and 21.

The club’s renewal news gives these prices for its first season back in the Premier League:

Age group Standard Zone Family Zone
Adult From £625 for the season From £625 for the season
Under 18 £20 a game £15 a game
Under 14 £15 a game £10 a game

Is it good value? At under £33 a game, the adult season ticket sits below even the £35 price of Category C, the lowest price band for a single game. It is well below the £55 price of Category A, the top band.

The club lists five age groups: Adult, Under 18, Under 14, 18 to 21 and Over 65. Your age on 31 August 2026 sets your group. Juniors in the Family Zone must be with an adult or concession holder, which means someone on a lower-priced ticket, such as an over-65.

That news gives no season prices for ages 18 to 21, over-65s or the Premium Zone. To check them, phone the Ticket Office on 02476 991987, option 1. It is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm.

What is the Premier League Package, and who got a free season ticket?

The Premier League Package is an older Coventry City scheme that promised fans a free season ticket if the club reached the Premier League. That is where searches for a Coventry free season ticket come from. Promotion came, so package holders got 2026/27 free, as the club’s thank you.

Those fans still had to renew on their Ticketmaster account and pay the £10 fee. An earlier club article put the newer Package 2.0 at £550 for new buyers. Coventry’s 2026/27 renewal news mentions no new package for newcomers, so do not count on this route.

How do you pay for a Coventry season ticket?

Coventry season ticket holders renew online on the club’s Ticketmaster site, or by phone through the Ticket Office. The club also publishes a guide to renewing online with monthly payments, so you need not pay it all at once. Read that guide before you budget, because the 2026/27 news does not set out its terms.

Can you still buy a Coventry season ticket for 2026/27?

No, you cannot buy a Coventry season ticket for 2026/27, because general admission seats are sold out. The club says all the capacity went to renewing holders. Some hospitality packages were still on offer in July.

This is how the season ticket sale ran for 2026/27:

Date What happened
Monday 15 June 2026 Renewals opened for existing holders
3pm, Monday 13 July 2026 Deadline for holders to renew and keep their seat
Thursday 23 July 2026 The club confirmed general admission had sold out and opened the waiting list

Last year was different. In June 2025, fans on a waiting list could buy first, and a general sale opened at 3pm on Thursday 26 June 2025. The club capped 2025/26 at 24,000 season tickets.

As of 31 October 2026, Coventry City has given no release date for 2027/28 season tickets. Renewals for 2026/27 opened in June, so watch the club’s news around that time next year.

How does the Coventry season ticket waiting list work?

The Coventry season ticket waiting list is a queue for seats from 2027/28 onwards, and joining costs a one-off £10 non-refundable fee. The club opened it on 23 July 2026, and it gives out places by time of purchase, so an earlier sign-up goes ahead of a later one.

  1. Find the “Join the Waiting List” button in the club’s news about the list.
  2. Sign in on the club’s ticketing site, as you would to book a match ticket.
  3. Pay the £10 fee. It is a one-off payment.
  4. Keep your email address up to date. The club says it will contact fans as availability allows.
  5. Buy single games meanwhile, so you build up loyalty points.

Read one line carefully. This is a multi-year list, so joining does not promise you a seat for 2027/28.

How long is the Coventry season ticket waiting list?

Coventry City publishes no length and no waiting time for its season ticket waiting list. Holders who renew keep first call on their seats, so the list only gets what they give up. If you want a season ticket at all, joining sooner is better than later, because of the time-of-purchase rule.

What does a Coventry season ticket include?

A Coventry season ticket includes your seat at every home league game, 190 loyalty points and ways to pass on games you cannot attend. It also opens one extra product, the Away Ballot Membership.

  • Your seat, digitally. Before the first home game, holders get an email with a link to add the pass to their phone wallet. Android users need NFC, the phone’s tap-to-pay feature, switched on.
  • A block of loyalty points. Holders receive 190 points for the season in one go. Buying extra home tickets earns no further points.
  • Ticket forwarding and the Ticket Exchange. Both are explained below, so a seat you cannot use still has some value.
  • The Away Ballot Membership. This is sold only to 2026/27 holders, at £30.

A ballot is a free prize draw: you enter, and if your name comes up you can buy a ticket. Where Coventry’s away allocation is 2,000 or more, 10% goes through the ballot. You must apply each time, you can link with five other members at most, and a win rules you out of the next two ballots.

Away allocations do sell out. As of 31 October 2026, the club has announced sold-out allocations for trips such as Tottenham and Everton.

How do Coventry loyalty points work?

Coventry loyalty points rank supporters when more people want tickets than there are seats. Points go to whoever a ticket is assigned to, one award per game. Each summer the oldest season drops off, which is why points from 2022/23 have now gone.

Activity, 2026/27 Points
Season ticket 190 (230 in each of the three previous seasons)
Any Sky Blues membership 50
Home league game or home friendly 10
Home cup game 10 extra
Away league game 10, plus 10 for an evening game

Tickets bought at cash turnstiles or through other clubs earn nothing. Points cannot be moved to another supporter afterwards, so assign every ticket to the person who is really going.

What can you do if you cannot make a game?

A Coventry season ticket holder who cannot make a game can forward the ticket to a friend or list it on the Ticket Exchange. Forwarding suits a game someone you know can use. The exchange suits a sold-out game.

The club wants more seats filled. It says an average of 2,218 holders stayed away from each of the Hull, Brighton and Newcastle games. In its survey, 24% did not know they could list a ticket.

How does ticket forwarding work at Coventry?

Ticket forwarding means sending your seat for one game to a named supporter, and each holder can nominate five people for the season. Follow these steps:

  1. Pick five supporters who do not hold season tickets and are already in your eTicketing network, your linked group of friends and family on the ticket site.
  2. Choose with care, because the five cannot be changed afterwards.
  3. Allow time, because it can take 24 hours for them to get permission.
  4. Forward the ticket. Once it is accepted, you cannot take it back.

Adult, Senior 65+, Young Adult 18-21 and Premier League Package tickets can go to anyone. Under 14 and Under 18 tickets must stay in the right age group, unless you pay the upgrade at the ticket office.

How does the Coventry Ticket Exchange work?

The Coventry Ticket Exchange is the club’s own resale service, where holders list seats they cannot use and other fans buy them. You can list until 90 minutes before kick-off. Your seat is sold only once the match is officially sold out, to supporters with a purchase since 2016/17.

Standard and Premium seats sell at the adult price. Family Zone seats must be listed in pairs at least. If yours sells, a voucher arrives after the game, worth this much:

Zone Adult Concession Under 18 Under 14
Premium (blocks 19, 20 and 21) £25 Not listed Not listed Not listed
Standard or Family £25 £22 £13 £8

You spend vouchers in the online club store by 31 May 2027, and you get no cash.

How do you watch Coventry without a season ticket?

You can watch Coventry without a season ticket by buying a Sky Blues membership, then using the members’ sale for each game. This is the route most new fans should take, and it also earns you loyalty points.

Membership Age Price
Adult Sky Blues 18 and over £45
Teen Sky Blues 14-17 £35
Junior Sky Blues 3-13 £30
International Fans browsing from outside the UK £35

Pricing goes by your age on 31 August 2026, and every member gets 50 points. Membership buys priority, not a promised seat. It is non-refundable and personal to you. Since 27 October, new Adult, Teen and Away memberships no longer come with a welcome gift.

Once you are a member, buy in this order:

  1. Buy in the members’ window. It is first come, first served: one ticket each, or ten at most when you link other 2026/27 members. This season it has opened 16 to 23 days before kick-off. For Fulham and Sunderland, members went first on 8 October at 10am.
  2. Or wait for the purchase-history window. Anyone who has bought a ticket since 2016/17 came next, on 12 October. A supporter with history can assign a ticket to a newcomer, who then starts earning points.
  3. Watch the exchange if a game sells out, as Fulham did. Listed seats can be bought until kick-off.

How much does a single Coventry match cost?

A single Coventry match costs from £35 for an adult, because every home league game sits in Category A, B or C. A category is a price band set by the opponent. Newcastle was Category A, Hull and Brighton were B, and Fulham and Sunderland were C.

Area Category A Category B Category C
Standard or Family Zone, adult £55 £50 £35
Standard or Family Zone, under 14 £25 £20 £15
Premium Zone, adult £70 £65 £50

Under-14 prices in that table are for Junior Sky Blues members.

Who should get a Coventry season ticket, and who should not?

A Coventry season ticket suits fans who live near Coventry and go to most home games. For fans who want a few games a season, a Sky Blues membership does the job for far less up front.

  • Best for: regulars who want the same seat, the block of 190 points and a chance in the away ballots.
  • Not worth the wait if: you want one or two games. A £45 membership and a Category C game will do.
  • Bringing children? The Family Zone has the lowest junior prices, at £15 or £10 a game for season ticket holders. Junior Sky Blues membership starts at age 3.
  • Living far away? Coventry station is about 55 minutes from London and 20 minutes from Birmingham Airport, so a home game is an easy day trip. Forwarding helps with games you miss.
  • Coming from abroad? The International membership only appears on Ticketmaster for fans browsing from outside the UK.
  • Want to stand? Home safe standing, an area with rails where you stand in your own place, is in blocks 12 to 16 of the East Stand. Elsewhere, persistent standing is not allowed.
  • Want a seat with food and drink? Ask about hospitality, which is sold separately. Some packages were still available in July.
  • Comparing clubs? See the Aston Villa season ticket guide or the Arsenal season ticket guide.

What mistakes should you avoid with a Coventry season ticket?

The biggest Coventry season ticket mistakes are confusing the list with a seat, missing the renewal deadline and assigning tickets to the wrong person.

  • Treating the list as a seat. The £10 buys a place in the queue. It does not promise a seat for 2027/28.
  • Missing the renewal deadline. The 2026/27 deadline was a set time, 3pm on Monday 13 July. Holders had until then to renew and keep their seat.
  • Leaving points with the wrong name. Points go to whoever a ticket is assigned to, and you cannot move them later.
  • Choosing your five too quickly. You cannot change your forwarding names, so pick people who will really use them.
  • Listing and forgetting. Exchange tickets sell only when the game is officially sold out, so yours may not sell at all.
  • Bringing a buggy or a big bag. Neither is allowed in, and bags over A4 size are turned away.

How do you get to the Coventry Building Society Arena?

The easiest way to reach the Coventry Building Society Arena is by train to Coventry Arena station, about five minutes’ walk from the ground. Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off, and all kick-off times are UK time. For a 3pm game, that means 1.30pm.

  • By train: Coventry Arena station has one train an hour each way, with double carriages on matchdays. Coventry station is in the city centre, about six miles away and 10 to 15 minutes by taxi.
  • By shuttle bus: a club shuttle runs on matchdays from the Bus Interchange at Coventry station to Arena Park, at £5 return by contactless.
  • By bus: services 3, 15 and 20, 20A and 20B stop at the retail park opposite, a 10-minute walk.
  • By car: the arena is 800 yards from junction 3 of the M6. Use postcode CV6 6AQ for your satnav. Paid car parks are on and near the site.
  • Your ticket: download it before you arrive, and have your phone charged with the wallet app open at the turnstile, the entry gate.
  • On the day: bags are searched, and kiosks on the concourse are cashless. Large bags, suitcases, food and drink, bottles, cans, long umbrellas, tablets and buggies are banned.

The Coventry Building Society Arena seating plan explains the stands and zones, and the Coventry Building Society Arena tickets page lists every event there.

When do Coventry season tickets go on sale?

Coventry City has given no date for 2027/28 season tickets. For 2026/27, renewals opened on Monday 15 June 2026, closed at 3pm on Monday 13 July, and the club confirmed general admission had sold out on 23 July. Join the waiting list now, then watch the club's news around next June.

How do I join the Coventry City season ticket waiting list?

Use the “Join the Waiting List” button in the club's news, then book on the ticketing site as you would for a match. It costs a one-off £10 non-refundable fee, and it covers seats from 2027/28 onwards. Places go by time of purchase, and the club contacts fans as availability allows.

What is the Coventry free season ticket?

The free season ticket went to fans on the Premier League Package, an older club scheme that promised one if Coventry reached the Premier League. Those fans got 2026/27 free, as the club's thank you, but still had to renew on Ticketmaster and pay a £10 fee. It is not an offer for new fans.

How many season tickets have Coventry sold?

Coventry City's 2026/27 news gives no total number of season tickets. It does say general admission is sold out, with the capacity going to renewing holders. For 2025/26, the club capped season tickets at 24,000. The arena's stadium bowl has 32,609 seats, according to the venue.

How do I buy Coventry tickets without a season ticket?

Buy a Sky Blues membership: Adult £45, Teen £35, Junior £30 or International £35. Members buy first, on a first-come basis, one ticket each or ten at most when linking members. Fans with any purchase since 2016/17 buy next, and the Ticket Exchange opens for them when a game is officially sold out.

Can I give my Coventry season ticket to a friend for one game?

Yes, if they are one of the five supporters you nominate for the season. They must be in your eTicketing network and cannot hold a season ticket themselves. Adult and senior tickets can go to anyone. Under 14 and Under 18 tickets must stay in the right age group unless you pay the upgrade.

How much does a Premier League ticket cost at Coventry?

An adult in the Standard or Family Zone pays £55 for a Category A game, £50 for Category B and £35 for Category C. Premium Zone adults pay £70, £65 or £50. Junior Sky Blues members under 14 pay from £15. You need a membership or purchase history to buy.

Has Coventry City ever been in the Premier League?

Yes. The club calls 2026/27 its first season back in the Premier League, so it has played at that level before. Home league games this season are priced in Categories A, B and C, with Fulham and Sunderland in the lowest band and Newcastle in the highest.

Is it hard to get a Coventry season ticket?

Yes, right now it is. General admission is sold out for 2026/27, because renewing holders took all the capacity. The only open route is the £10 waiting list for 2027/28 onwards, and joining does not promise a seat. Single games are easier, through a Sky Blues membership.
