The Premier League's fixture data places the match on Wednesday 3 March 2027 at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland. The date is provisional and the kick-off time is listed as TBC.
A midweek fixture is not covered by the 3pm Saturday blackout, and the UK broadcaster, if the game is shown, will be confirmed in the Premier League's TV listings. Once the time is set, plan around a weekday finish: Sunderland station is a 10-15 minute walk from the ground, and the Metro runs from Stadium of Light and St Peter's stations.

How to get Sunderland v Manchester United tickets
Manchester United's visit will be sold the way Sunderland sell all their home league games: by ballot, to members, one match at a time. Nothing had been announced for it at the last check.
To take part you need to be a Black Cats Adult Member, at £48 a season, or an Academy Member, and you must opt in yourself once the club announces the two-day window in its weekly ticket news. Results follow by email from 4pm the day after the window shuts. Some matches are limited to members with a purchase history.
If seats are left once the draw is done, the club may add a further phase; for Leeds, that meant a restricted general sale. No price category had been set for United, while adult Category A tickets, the band of the Leeds United game, start at £39. Hospitality packages are sold by the club on its ticketing site.
Not a member, or out of luck in the ballot? Seats listed on Hellotickets are the other route. Sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price shows before you pay. United's fixtures are listed on our Manchester United tickets page.

Where to sit at Stadium of Light
The Stadium of Light, opened in 1997, is a single bowl of four stands. United's supporters will be in the North Stand Upper, the away section above the north goal, where the Premier League has let Sunderland keep visiting fans for 2026/27. At the opposite end, the Roker End (South Stand) is the home singing end. The Jimmy Montgomery Stand (West Stand) is the main stand, its upper tier the Premier Concourse with executive boxes, and the East Stand faces it.
Hellotickets uses its own labels: Longside for the touchlines, Central Longside for seats near halfway and Shortside for the ends, by tier or level. Away-section listings place you among the United fans. Home supporters should be wary of a Shortside upper seat they cannot place, as the north end is the only end with an upper tier. The Stadium of Light seating plan shows the blocks.
