Listings start in the Westtribüne, from £431. At the last check the four named stands started at similar levels, so choose by view and atmosphere rather than cost. Seats sold as Category 1 or Category 3 are priced well above them.

Cologne v Bayern Munich: date, kick-off and how to watch

Bayern Munich visit 1. FC Köln at the RheinEnergieStadion on Saturday 20 March 2027, a provisional Bundesliga date with kick-off to be confirmed. It is one of the biggest home dates of Köln's season, and the club sells it the way it sells every home game: to members first, two tickets each.

At the club the fixture is not on sale yet at the official seller.

Resale seats listed on Hellotickets start at £431 in the Westtribüne (checked 5 Nov 2026).

As a spring fixture, it was outside July's early-bird sale, which covered only first-half home games; its own members' presale date has not been set.

The reference date is Saturday 20 March 2027, taken from the Hellotickets listing; the Bundesliga confirms exact days and kick-off times for each round a few weeks ahead, so the match could still move within that weekend. Until then the kick-off is TBC.

The ground is the RheinEnergieStadion on Aachener Straße in Müngersdorf, on the west side of Cologne. Germany is one hour ahead of the UK. UK television picks for Bundesliga games are confirmed by the broadcasters once the time is set, so check the listings that week.

Official ticketing

No presale date yet: Köln set a members' presale date per game. Bundesliga: Sat 20 Mar, TBC.

Membership: 1. FC Köln membership (needed for every presale).

How to get Cologne v Bayern Munich tickets

Köln's system is built around membership, and public sales are rare. Here is how a game like this is sold:

  1. Season tickets first. Köln cap season tickets at 25,500. After allocations, about 15,000 day tickets per game remain.
  2. Members' presale. Each home game gets its own presale date, open only to 1. FC Köln members, with a maximum of two tickets per member. Sales run in the FC ticket shop, behind a queue. For Bayern, the date had not been published when last checked.
  3. Ticketbörse. If you miss out, the club's official Ticketbörse resells returned tickets at the day-ticket price plus a 15% service fee, often for members only.

Joining the club before the presale is announced is therefore the first move for anyone who wants a face-value seat. Without membership, seats listed on Hellotickets are the alternative: sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. Our Cologne tickets page lists every home date, and Bayern Munich tickets follows the visitors.

Good to know before you go

  • Membership before presaleEvery Köln presale is members-only, with two tickets per member. Join before the Bayern presale date is announced, not after.
  • Your ticket is your tram fareThe stadium operator says a match ticket also covers KVB buses and trams and the surrounding VRS network, so line 1 to the ground costs nothing extra.
  • Travel without a bagVisiting clubs report that bags and rucksacks are not allowed at the RheinEnergieStadion and there is nowhere to store them.
  • Resale deliveryHellotickets sends tickets as soon as it receives them from the seller, sometimes up to 1–2 days before the event.

Where to sit at Rhein Energie Stadion

The stadium is a rectangle of four two-tier stands holding about 50,000. Behind the south goal is the Hans-Schäfer-Südkurve, at the opposite end from the visitors, with blocks S1-S6 below and S11-S16 above. The Nordtribüne is the north end, and it houses the away blocks: N6 for standing and N16 for seats. The Westtribüne and Osttribüne run along the touchlines.

Köln reserve ten percent of capacity, about 5,000 tickets, for visiting supporters, whose blocks are in the north end. On Hellotickets, Osttribüne and Westtribüne listings are touchline seats, Südtribüne means the south end, away from the visitors, and Nordtribüne may sit close to the away blocks. "Category 1" and "Category 3" listings do not name a stand.

Frequently asked questions

How easy is it to get FC Köln tickets?

Not easy without membership. Season tickets take up to 25,500 places, and the roughly 15,000 day tickets per game go to members in a presale, two each. Public sales are rare, and the official Ticketbörse is often members-only too.

How to buy Bayern Munich tickets as a tourist?

For this away game, the tickets are sold by 1. FC Köln, not Bayern. A visitor can join Köln before the members' presale, try the official Ticketbörse when it is open to non-members, or compare resale seats on Hellotickets, where the final price is shown before you pay.

How much are Cologne v Bayern Munich tickets?

Köln had not opened the sale or published this game's day-ticket price at the last check; Ticketbörse resales add a 15% service fee to it. Resale seats on Hellotickets start at £431 in the Westtribüne (checked 5 Nov 2026).

Can I buy Cologne v Bayern Munich tickets without being a member?

Rarely from the club. Köln's presale for each home game is for members only, and the Ticketbörse is often restricted to them as well. Without a 1. FC Köln membership, resale listings on Hellotickets are the usual route.

Where do Bayern Munich fans sit in Cologne?

Visiting supporters are in the Nordtribüne, the north end of the RheinEnergieStadion, in standing block N6 and seated block N16, with entrances in the north-east of the ground. Köln keep about 5,000 tickets, a tenth of capacity, for them.
