Celta Vigo v Atletico Madrid: date, kick-off and how to watch
Atletico Madrid's La Liga visit to Abanca-Balaídos is pencilled in for Sunday 20 December 2026, with kick-off still TBC. That date is provisional: La Liga confirms its weekend slots a few weeks out, and Celta have not yet opened a sale for the game.
At the club the fixture is not on sale yet at the official seller.
Seats listed on Hellotickets start at £99 in the Longside area (checked 5 Nov 2026).
The thing to know for this one: Celta sell to Carnet Celtista members for a day before anyone else, so the public window opens 24 hours after the announcement.

The reference date is Sunday 20 December 2026 at Abanca-Balaídos (officially the Estadio Municipal de Balaídos) on Avenida de Balaídos in Vigo, Galicia. Kick-off has not been set. La Liga can still move a match to another day of the same weekend when the schedule is fixed, so treat the Sunday as a working assumption rather than a booked slot.
Vigo runs one hour ahead of the UK, which matters when the kick-off is announced. UK television picks for La Liga are confirmed by the broadcasters closer to the weekend; check their listings once the time is published.

Membership: Carnet Celtista (members get a 24-hour exclusive window and lower prices).
How to get Celta Vigo v Atletico Madrid tickets
Celta sell their own home matches, and the pattern this season has been consistent:
- The announcement. The club has put games on sale between 24 and 32 days before kick-off. Celta v Real Betis on 25 October, for example, went on sale on 23 September. For a match on 20 December, that would point to an announcement around late November, though nothing has been published yet.
- Carnet Celtista window. Members get a 24-hour exclusive period and lower prices, buying through the Portal del Celtista.
- General sale. After that day, anyone can buy at tickets.rccelta.es or at the box offices at the stadium. For the Real Betis game the public price started at €30, against €25 for members.
Prices at Celta are dynamic, so they can change while a sale is running, and an Atletico fixture is unlikely to be priced like a mid-table opponent. Until the club opens its sale, the only place to buy is resale: sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. Our Atletico Madrid tickets page lists the visitors' other away games, and La Liga tickets covers the rest of the league.
Good to know before you go
- Watch for the late-November noticeCelta have opened sales 24 to 32 days before matches, so for 20 December the announcement is likely to land in late November.
- Join before the sale if you canThe Carnet Celtista gives a 24-hour head start and member prices; renewals and sign-ups are handled on the club's Celtistas pages.
- Getting to the groundCity bus lines C4B and 23 serve Balaídos. Vigo-Urzáiz station is 3.6 km away and Vigo-Guixar 4.4 km, so budget a bus or taxi from either.
- Resale delivery timingHellotickets sends tickets as soon as it receives them from the seller, sometimes up to 1–2 days before the event, so do not expect them the week you book.
Where to sit at Estadio de Balaidos
Balaídos is a rectangle of four stands. Tribuna, the main stand, runs along the north touchline and Río faces it on the south side. Marcador, rebuilt by 2023, sits behind the east goal. Gol, behind the west goal, is being rebuilt: for 2026/27 it has only about 800 seats until the new stand opens, expected early 2027.
On Hellotickets, "Tribuna Alta" and "Tribuna Baja" are the upper and lower parts of the main stand, "Rio Alto" is the upper Río, and "Longside" or "Lateral" means a touchline seat without a named stand. "Marcador", "Gol" and "Fondo" are behind a goal; with Gol still a building site in December, a Fondo listing is more likely to mean Marcador, so check before paying. No away section is named in the information we hold.
