Scotland Football tickets 2026/27
How the Scottish FA sells Scotland home tickets for games at Barclays Hampden, and what to check before you buy resale seats.
Updated 4 Nov 2026
Scotland's men's national team play their home matches at Barclays Hampden (Hampden Park), the national stadium on the south side of Glasgow. Tickets are sold by the Scottish FA on its own ticketing website, tickets.scottishfa.co.uk, and each match has its own sale with its own conditions, so the details for one game do not carry over to the next.
When the Scottish FA has a sale open, start there: it is the governing body's own route and usually the cheaper one. Resale is the fallback once a match has sold out or the sale is closed to you.

How to get Scotland Football tickets
How to buy Scotland Football tickets (official route)
Who sells the tickets
Unlike a club, a national team has no season ticket holders queuing for a home end. Scotland's home games are organised by the Scottish FA, the national federation, and its ticketing site at tickets.scottishfa.co.uk is the only primary seller for them. Hampden's own website points to the same address for football tickets.
How a sale is set out
Each home international is put on sale separately. The announcement for a match is what tells you who can buy first, when the general public can join in, how many tickets each buyer may take and what each area of the ground costs. Read it in full before the sale opens rather than on the morning itself, because the order of priority and the price bands are set match by match.
Getting ready
- Create your account on the Scottish FA ticketing site in advance, so you are not filling in forms while the sale runs.
- Check whether the match is a competitive fixture or a friendly: demand for the two can be very different, and so can the way seats are released.
- Decide which part of Hampden you want before you start. The side stands are much closer to the pitch than the ends, which matters more here than at most grounds.
When the official sale is closed
If a match sells out, or the sale is limited to a group you are not part of, the remaining route is the resale market. Treat it as the second option, and read the delivery details on any listing before you pay.
Buying from outside Glasgow
Scotland games at Hampden draw supporters from across the country. Book travel only once the date and kick-off time are confirmed by the Scottish FA, as international fixtures can be moved for television.
Scotland Football resale tickets: what to expect, stand by stand
Resale prices for Scotland depend first on the occasion. A competitive qualifier against a strong or familiar opponent draws far more interest than a friendly, and listings for the bigger nights start well above those for quieter games.
Within a match, position matters more at Hampden than at many grounds. Seats in the North Stand and the South Stand, along the touchlines, give the closest view and tend to be listed higher. The East and West Stands behind the goals are set well back from the pitch because of the bowl shape, and that is usually where listings open.
Some resale listings are "seller's choice": the seller picks the block, and you only find out where you are once the tickets arrive. If sitting together or in a particular stand matters to you, choose a listing that names the area.
Sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. Hellotickets says: "Every ticket is authenticated. If there's ever an issue, you're protected by our refund policy."
The stadium
Barclays Hampden, still known to most fans as Hampden Park, is in Mount Florida on the south side of Glasgow. It is an all-seated bowl in four sections:
- South Stand: the main stand along the south touchline, and the only one with two tiers. It holds the dressing rooms, the lounges and the media facilities.
- North Stand: opposite, along the north touchline, with a small gallery above it linked to the lounges.
- East Stand and West Stand: single-tier ends behind the goals, a long way back from the pitch at their highest rows.
For the closest view, choose the North or South Stand. Hospitality is sold separately as Barclays Hampden Hospitality, with VIP Gold and Silver Lounge packages.
Getting there
Mount Florida and King's Park stations are each a five-minute walk from the ground, with trains from Glasgow Central on the Cathcart Circle lines. First Glasgow buses run from the city centre, and you can walk from the centre if you allow plenty of time. The venue advises against driving: nearby parking is kept for residents and businesses, and there are no set-down or pick-up points.
On the day
Turnstiles generally open 90 minutes before kick-off and there is no re-entry. Bring one bag no larger than A4 or a standard handbag; backpacks are refused and searches are a condition of entry. The ground is cashless, prams and pushchairs cannot be brought in, and persistent standing is not permitted at football matches.
Frequently asked questions
How much are Scotland Football tickets?
The Scottish FA sets its prices match by match and publishes them on tickets.scottishfa.co.uk when each game goes on sale, so check the announcement for the fixture you want.
Can I buy Scotland Football tickets without a membership?
That depends on how the Scottish FA sets up the sale for each game. Every match has its own conditions, published on tickets.scottishfa.co.uk, which say who can buy first and whether a public sale follows. If the official sale is closed to you or the game sells out, seats are listed on the resale market, where the final price is shown before you pay.
How much do football tickets cost in the UK?
It varies widely by club, competition and opponent. Clubs and federations set their own face values, often in categories, with big games in a higher band than quieter ones. On the resale market, sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value.
What are some of the major football clubs in Scotland?
Celtic and Rangers, the two Glasgow clubs, are the best known, and their cup ties at Hampden split the ground into a Celtic end and a Rangers end. Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibernian are among the other leading clubs in the Scottish Premiership. Each club sells its own tickets; for Scotland's national team, the seller is the Scottish FA.
What is the best ticket resale site in the UK?
Start with the official seller: for Scotland, the Scottish FA's own site, which is usually the cheaper route when it is open to you. If you turn to resale, choose a site that shows the final price before you pay and protects you if something goes wrong. Hellotickets says every ticket is authenticated and that, if there's ever an issue, you're protected by its refund policy.
