Marseille v Lyon: date, kick-off and how to watch
Marseille v Lyon, the meeting of the two Olympiques that French football calls the Olympico, is provisionally set for Sunday 21 March 2027 at the Stade Vélodrome, with no kick-off time yet. It is one of the headline fixtures of OM's Ligue 1 home season, which makes the members' priority days matter more than usual. Sunday 21 March 2027 is the date shown by ticket listings, not yet a confirmed slot in the Ligue 1 calendar, and the kick-off is TBC. The league will publish the final day and time for the round later in the season.
UK channel details are only confirmed by the broadcasters once the schedule is fixed, so do not plan around a time you have seen quoted early. The venue is the Stade Vélodrome, officially the CEPAC Vélodrome since 2 July 2026.
Official ticketing
No sale announced yet; OM opens sales, members first, usually 4 to 7 weeks before the match.
- Members' priority phases then general public (not yet announced) · to come
Membership: Peuple Bleu&Blanc Essential (Free tier at no cost; Gold EUR 59 and Platinum EUR 149 a season), EUR 25 per season (Essential).
How to get Marseille v Lyon tickets
For the Olympico, plan around the members' days rather than the public sale.
Membership decides your window
The first 24 hours belong to Platinum and Gold members of Peuple Bleu&Blanc, two tiers capped at 1,000 and 5,000 places and costing EUR 149 and EUR 59 a season, who also pay a preferential price. Essential members, at EUR 25, follow for a day.
The general sale may be short
From the third day the public can buy at billetterie.om.fr, behind Queue-it, but only if the members have left seats. The live shop is the only place to find out.
If it sells out
OM switch to their own resale platform, for members only, announced with a 'revente disponible' notice. Hellotickets is the open-market alternative: sellers decide the price, which can be above face value, and the final price shows before you pay. When the club's sale is open, it remains the cheaper way in.
Watch om.fr for the announcement, and see Marseille tickets for OM's other home dates, such as Marseille v Lens tickets or Marseille v Stade Brestois 29 tickets.
Good to know before you go
- Join before FebruaryEssential membership at EUR 25 a season puts you a day ahead of the public, which matters for a fixture where seats may not last to the general sale.
- Do not book on a guessThe date is provisional and the kick-off unknown: wait for the official Ligue 1 schedule before paying for flights you cannot move.
- Leave the umbrellaNon-folding umbrellas, power banks, helmets and bulky bags are refused at the Vélodrome; outside food and drink are not allowed either.
- Resale protectionHellotickets says every ticket is authenticated and, if there is ever an issue, you are protected by its refund policy; tickets can arrive 1–2 days before the match.
Where to sit at Stade Vélodrome
Behind the goals, the Virage Nord - Patrice de Peretti and the Virage Sud - Chevalier Roze have no resale listings for this game. What you will find are the touchline stands.
On the Tribune Ganay, entered from the Parvis Ganay, the listings cover the central section, the upper tier ("SUP") and the lateral blocks. The Tribune Jean Bouin opposite, on Boulevard Michelet, has lateral ("J B Latéral"), upper ("Supérieur") and central seats. OM do not publish an away-section location. Use Rond-Point du Prado (metro M2) for Jean Bouin and Sainte-Marguerite Dromel (M2 or tram T3) for Ganay.
