At a glance

  • Elland Road holds 37,633 people in four stands: Don Revie (North), Norman Hunter (South), Jack Charlton (East) and John Charles (West).
  • For noise, sit in the North Stand upper tier. For the view, pick the East or West Stand. For children, use the Family Area in blocks L28 to L35.
  • Adult prices start at £35.50 in the Family Stand and £37.50 in the North and South Stands, for a Category B game, booking fee included.
  • Away fans sit at the south end of the West Stand, in blocks C15 to C17 and B1 to B4, and adults pay £30.
  • The West Stand is being rebuilt, so most of its ticket holders now use Entrances 4, 5 and 6. Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off.
Elland Road seating plan

  1. Don Revie Stand (North Stand): The Kop, behind the goal. Blocks N1 to N12, with rail seats in the upper tier.
  2. Jack Charlton East Stand: Along the touchline. Family Area in the lower tier, very high upper tier.
  3. Norman Hunter South Stand: Behind the goal. Blocks FA1 to FA6 and SS1 to SS6, loud, new rail seats.
  4. John Charles West Stand: Along the touchline. Home blocks to the north, away fans at the south end.

Simple plan, not to scale.

The Elland Road seating plan has four stands and 37,633 seats. The Don Revie Stand behind one goal and the Norman Hunter South Stand behind the other are the loud home ends. Families sit in the Jack Charlton East Stand, and away fans sit at the south end of the John Charles West Stand.

Home games and their sale status are on the Leeds tickets page.

How does the Elland Road seating plan work?

The Elland Road seating plan works by stand, then block, then row and seat. Elland Road is the home of Leeds United, a Premier League club, in the Beeston area of Leeds, postcode LS11 0ES. It holds 37,633 people, according to the Premier League Handbook for 2026/27.

A stand is one side of the ground, and a tier is one layer of seats in that stand. A block is a numbered section of a tier.

What are the Elland Road stand names?

The four Elland Road stands are named after Leeds greats: Don Revie, Norman Hunter, Jack Charlton and John Charles. The club’s plan and most fans also use the compass names, so the Don Revie Stand is the North Stand.

Stand Where it is Blocks Who sits there Adults from
Don Revie Stand (North Stand) Behind the north goal N1 to N6 in front, N7 to N12 behind, plus the corners Home fans. This is the Kop, the home end, with rail seats in the upper tier £37.50
Norman Hunter South Stand Behind the south goal FA1 to FA6 in front, SS1 to SS6 behind, plus the corner Home fans. Two small tiers split by executive boxes, and as vocal as the Kop £37.50
Jack Charlton East Stand Along the east touchline, on the Lowfields Road side L28 to L35 below, L36 to L38 and L42 to L44 above Home fans and the Family Area, with hospitality in the centre. The upper tier is very high £35.50
John Charles West Stand Along the west touchline C18 to C22 and D11 to D13 for home fans The main stand, with the tunnel and both dugouts. Home fans, hospitality guests and, at the south end, away fans £49.50

How do you read block numbers at Elland Road?

Elland Road block codes start with letters that show the area, and the number shows the place within it. Here is how the club’s plan lays them out:

  • North Stand: N1 to N6 are nearest the pitch, and N7 to N12 sit behind them. The corners are F23 and F24 on the west side, and H25 to H27 and NEL on the east side.
  • East Stand: L28 to L35 form the lower tier, running from the North Stand end to the South Stand end. L36 to L38 and L42 to L44 are upper seats, with hospitality between them.
  • South Stand: FA1 to FA6 are nearest the pitch, and SS1 to SS6 sit behind them. The east corner is SE1 to SE3 and SEL.
  • West Stand: C blocks are nearest the pitch, and D and B blocks sit behind them.

Searching for one block? L34 is in the Family Area, towards the South Stand end. L31 is the middle of the East Stand lower tier.

Does the Elland Road seating plan show seat numbers?

No. The club’s stadium plan stops at block level, so it has no rows, no seat numbers and no 3D view. Rows are lettered, and your ticket shows your stand, block, row and seat.

Your ticket also shows the entrance you must use. Once inside, follow your block number, then look for your row. A steward can help if you get lost.

How much does each part of Elland Road cost?

Elland Road seats cost from £35.50 for an adult in the Family Stand in 2026/27, and from £37.50 in the North and South Stands. The price depends on the area and the game’s category, a price band set by the club. Tottenham is Category A+, and Brentford was Category A.

Each cell shows Category A+, then A, then B. Every price includes a £1.50 booking fee.

Area Adult Concession Age 16 to 18 Age 2 to 15
Family Stand £46.50 / £40.50 / £35.50 £38.50 / £33.50 / £28.50 £29.50 / £25.50 / £23.50 £18 / £16 / £13.50
North and South Stands £56.50 / £48.50 / £37.50 £38.50 / £33.50 / £28.50 £29.50 / £25.50 / £23.50 £27.50 / £24.50 / £18
East Stand Upper Wings £57.50 / £49.50 / £44.50 Not sold Not sold Not sold
East Central Lower, East Stand Upper and West Stand £62.50 / £54.50 / £49.50 £43.50 / £37.50 / £34.50 £32.50 / £29.50 / £26.50 £30.50 / £26.50 / £23.50

A concession is a lower price for seniors aged 65 and over and young adults aged 19 to 22. On the plan, the Family Stand is the lower East Stand blocks except L31, which is East Central Lower. The East Stand Upper Wings are the strip at the back of the upper tier.

You also need a My Leeds membership to buy, from £50 for an adult, as the Leeds membership guide explains.

Where is the best place to sit at Elland Road?

The best place to sit at Elland Road is the North Stand for noise, the East or West Stand for the view, and the Family Area for children.

  • Best for atmosphere: the North Stand upper tier, blocks N7 to N12. The club calls the North and South Stands the busiest and most vocal areas, and says fans there tend to stand throughout.
  • Best for the view: block L31 keeps you close to the touchline in the East Stand. The upper tier gives a high view of the whole pitch, and the West Stand faces it from the tunnel side.
  • Best for families: the Family Area in the East Stand lower tier.
  • Best for value: the Family Stand has the lowest adult prices. For a Category B game, the North and South Stands are close behind at £37.50.
  • First visit? A side stand shows you the whole pitch and both home ends.

Leeds United’s plan marks no restricted views. If you are unsure about a seat, ask the Ticket Office on 0371 334 1992 before you buy.

Is the East Stand upper tier a good choice?

The East Stand upper tier is a good choice only if you are happy with heights. The club calls it extremely high and very steep. It does not recommend the tier for people with vertigo or difficulty walking, and it is not suitable for supporters with accessible needs.

Where is hospitality on the Elland Road seating plan?

Elland Road hospitality, a ticket with food and drink, is in the centre of the East Stand upper tier and the centre of the West Stand. There are also boxes in the East and South Stands. West Stand guests use a new building behind the North Stand this season, and a marked route to their seats.

What is rail seating at Elland Road?

Rail seating at Elland Road is a seat with a safety rail in front, which lets fans stand safely at key moments such as goals. It covers all of the North Stand upper tier and parts of the away section, and it is now going into the South Stand.

The club said on 28 October 2026 that work had started. The South Stand upper tier and areas FA1 and FA6 are due for Tottenham on Saturday 7 November. The rest of the lower tier is due for Coventry on Saturday 28 November.

The club says the rails will not affect your view or your way to your seat. A trial began in March 2022, and the North Stand upper tier followed in 2024. Elland Road is still an all-seater stadium, so use your own seat and keep the aisles clear.

Can you choose your own seat at Elland Road?

You can choose your own seat at Elland Road only in some sales, because the general members’ ballot gives you a seat automatically. A ballot is a free prize draw: you enter, and if your name comes up you get a seat. Follow these steps to get as close as you can:

  1. Decide what matters most: noise, view, children or price.
  2. Find that area on the plan and in the price table.
  3. Join My Leeds. Tickets are only for members, one each.
  4. Link your group under My Friends & Family. Up to six members can share one ballot entry and sit together.
  5. Buy early if you can. Priority members, and winners of the Tracker ballot for regular buyers, pick their seats online.
  6. Choose a stand in the general ballot. The system places you there if seats are left.
  7. Look for returned seats. The Ticket Exchange, the club’s own resale service for members, runs until 90 minutes before kick-off.

Only a Leeds season ticket gives you the same seat at every game, and that comes through a waiting list.

Where do away fans sit at Elland Road?

Away fans at Elland Road sit at the south end of the John Charles West Stand, along the touchline and not behind a goal. The club’s plan marks blocks C15 to C17 and B1 to B4 as away seating, in both tiers.

  • Buying: visiting fans buy through their own club, and Leeds sells them nothing on matchday.
  • Prices: adults pay £30 at every category, under the Premier League’s cap on away tickets. Concessions pay £29, ages 16 to 18 pay £29, £28 or £25, and ages 2 to 15 pay £28, £25 or £22.
  • Getting in: the main West Stand gate on Elland Road, next to Howard’s, is now the away way in.
  • Ticket help: the away ticket office sits beside the away turnstiles and opens 90 minutes before kick-off.
  • Coaches: the works cut the coach park to 24 coaches, so book ahead. There is no paying on the day.

When the visitors do not take all their tickets, the club sells C15, C16 and C17 to home fans. Those fans use the same gate.

Where should families and children sit at Elland Road?

Families at Elland Road should sit in the East Stand Family Area, the lower blocks either side of L31, which the club recommends for family groups. Stewards watch language and behaviour there, and foul language is not tolerated.

  • Who can sit there: no more than two adults to one concession, and at least one person over 18.
  • Buying: book the group in one go. A child’s ticket must be beside an adult’s seat.
  • Ages: under-2s cannot enter. Ages 2 to 15 must sit next to an adult aged 18 or over, and under-16s cannot come alone.
  • Avoid: the club does not recommend the North and South Stands for young children. Under-fives are not allowed in the East Stand upper tier.
  • Buggies: there is nowhere to store one, so leave it at home.

What accessible seating does Elland Road have?

Elland Road has 170 wheelchair spaces, counting general admission and hospitality, with bays in all four stands. Ambulant disabled supporters, who walk but need easier access, have their own area in North Stand block N1. There are also set rows in other stands.

  • Booking: use the Accessible Ticket Line on 0333 130 0505. You need proof of DLA or PIP, two disability benefits.
  • Prices: a concession price is open to disabled supporters at any rate of those benefits.
  • Personal assistants: a free ticket needs the medium or higher rate of DLA, or the enhanced rate of PIP.
  • Weather: pitch-level spaces have no roof, so bring a coat.
  • Quiet spaces: a sensory room sits in South Stand box 6, and a quiet space is on the East Stand concourse. The concourse is the walkway behind the seats.
  • Parking: 132 free accessible spaces must be booked in advance once you are registered as a disabled supporter.

Talk to the club’s Disability Liaison Officer before you buy, so you get a seat that suits you.

Which entrance do you use during the West Stand rebuild?

Most West Stand ticket holders at Elland Road now use Entrances 4, 5 and 6, on the north side of the ground, because the West Stand is being rebuilt. Other fans use the entrance number on their ticket.

  • West Stand home fans: reach Entrances 4, 5 and 6 through Gate 4 on Lowfields Road, or Gates 2 and 1 on Bobby Collins Way.
  • Main West Stand gate: away fans, home fans in C15 to C17 when sold, and accessible tickets in FA6.
  • Ticket queries: go to the North Stand Ticket Office on Lowfields Road, next to Gate 4.

The rebuild is the first phase of a plan to take Elland Road to about 53,000 seats. Councillors approved it in January 2026, and demolition began in June 2026. So expect the West Stand part of this plan to change.

When should you arrive at Elland Road?

Arrive at Elland Road at least 90 minutes before kick-off if you want to enjoy the build-up, because that is when turnstiles open. All kick-off times here are UK time.

  • 2 hours before: the home fan zone in the north-east corner opens to ticket holders.
  • 90 minutes before: turnstiles open.
  • 45 minutes before: the warm-up normally begins.
  • 10 minutes before: the club asks you to be in your seat.

There is no re-entry, so finish everything outside first.

How do you get to Elland Road, and where can you park?

The easiest way to get to Elland Road without a car is the R2 shuttle bus from the city centre, and drivers must book parking in advance. Elland Road is about a 35 to 40 minute walk from Leeds station.

Route How it works Times and prices
On foot From Leeds station in the city centre About 35 to 40 minutes
R2 shuttle First Bus from Sovereign Street, outside Café Nero From 150 minutes before kick-off. Single tickets only for the trip back
R3 shuttle From Thornbury Barracks and Pudsey Bus Station From 90 minutes before kick-off
Service buses 51 and 52 from Corn Exchange, 55 and 55C from City Square Stops outside the ground close one hour before and after the match
Park and ride Stourton or Temple Green, booked online £7 a person or £21.50 a car of four. Last bus 25 minutes after the game. Temple Green does not run on Sundays
Club car parks Grey, Green and Purple, booked game by game £13 a space. Open three and a half hours before kick-off, close three hours after the final whistle
White Rose Office Park 1,200 off-site spaces, booked in advance £9.50. Opens at 5pm for evening games

Driving in from outside Leeds? Use the M621 and leave at junction 2 for the Grey and Green car parks, or junction 1 for Purple. Anyone without a booking is turned away.

Lowfields Road closes an hour before kick-off, and vehicles there can wait 30 to 60 minutes after the final whistle. MCards, MetroCards and West Yorkshire Day Rovers are not valid on the R2 and R3.

What can you bring into Elland Road?

You can bring one small bag no larger than A4 into Elland Road, and there is no luggage storage at the ground. Bags are searched at the turnstiles.

  • Your ticket: save it to Apple or Google Wallet first, and charge your phone. Screenshots and emails do not work.
  • Paying: the ground is cashless, but programme sellers take cash only. A programme costs £4.
  • Medical items: email the Disability Liaison Officer at least 48 hours before the game.
  • Vapes: these are banned everywhere in the stadium.

What mistakes should you avoid at Elland Road?

The main Elland Road mistakes are using the wrong entrance, booking the East Stand upper tier with a fear of heights and arriving without a parking space.

  • Heading for the old West Stand gate. It is now for away fans and a few home groups.
  • Taking young children to the Kop. The club steers families to the East Stand.
  • Expecting to pay on the day. Every council car park must be booked in advance.
  • Bringing a big bag. Nothing over A4 gets in, and there is nowhere to leave it.
  • Leaving the ground at half-time. You cannot come back in.

Frequently asked questions

Where do away fans sit at Elland Road?

Away fans sit at the south end of the John Charles West Stand, along a touchline and not behind a goal. The club's plan shows blocks C15 to C17 and B1 to B4. During the rebuild they use the main West Stand gate on Elland Road, and they buy through their own club.

Which is the best stand at Elland Road for atmosphere?

The Don Revie North Stand, known as the Kop, and the Norman Hunter South Stand have the best atmosphere. Leeds United calls them the busiest and most vocal parts of the ground, and says fans there tend to stand throughout. The club does not recommend them for young children or family groups.

What are the Elland Road stand names?

Elland Road has four stands: the Don Revie Stand to the north, the Norman Hunter South Stand, the Jack Charlton East Stand and the John Charles West Stand. The club's stadium plan also uses the plain names North, South, East and West, so you will see both on tickets and signs.

Does the Elland Road seating plan show seat numbers?

No. Leeds United's stadium plan stops at block level, so it shows codes such as L34 and N9 but no rows or seat numbers. Your ticket shows your stand, block, lettered row and seat number, along with the entrance you must use. Stewards can help you find your seat.

Where is block L34 on the Elland Road seating plan?

Block L34 is in the lower tier of the Jack Charlton East Stand, towards the South Stand end. It is part of the Family Area, so tickets need no more than two adults to one concession. Adult prices there start at £35.50 for a Category B game.

Can children sit in the East Stand Upper at Elland Road?

Not if they are under five, because the club bars them from that tier for safety reasons. Older children can go, but the tier is extremely high and steep, and the club does not recommend it for anyone with vertigo or difficulty walking. The Family Area in the lower tier is the better choice.

Is there parking at Elland Road?

Only if you book ahead. The club-run Grey, Green and Purple car parks cost £13 a space, bought game by game. The off-site White Rose Office Park has 1,200 spaces at £9.50, and park and ride from Stourton or Temple Green costs £7 a person. Anyone without a booking is turned away.

What time do the turnstiles open at Elland Road?

General admission turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off. West Stand ticket holders should allow for the 2026/27 changes, because most now enter through Entrances 4, 5 and 6, reached from Lowfields Road or Bobby Collins Way. There is no re-entry once you have gone through the turnstile.

What is the capacity of Elland Road?

Elland Road holds 37,633 people, according to the Premier League Handbook for 2026/27. Leeds United plans to take it to about 53,000 seats, starting with a new West Stand. Councillors approved the plans in January 2026, and demolition work began in June 2026, with the ground staying in use.
