England Cricket tickets 2026/27

How the host grounds sell 2027 Ashes tickets, from member windows and free ballots to general sale, and where resale starts.

Updated 5 Nov 2026

England's home Tests are not sold by the ECB in one place. Each host ground sells its own days on its official ticketing site, linked from ecb.co.uk, and some days are also listed on tickets.ecb.co.uk. For the 2027 Ashes against Australia, every ground has run member priority windows first, then a free public ballot, then a general sale for whatever is left.

This page lists 20 days of play across the five Tests.

Resale listings on Hellotickets start from £286 across them.

First date on the list: England v Australia - 1st Rothesay Ashes Test Match - 1 on Friday 18 June.

The picture differs by ground. As of 20 October 2026, days 1-4 were sold out at Edgbaston and the Utilita Bowl, general admission had gone at Trent Bridge, the Lord's ballot was open and the Kia Oval's general sale was due in December.

How to get England Cricket tickets

How to buy England Cricket tickets (official route)

Buy from the host ground

The ECB points buyers to each venue's own site: tickets.trentbridge.co.uk, tickets.lords.org, tickets.edgbaston.com, tickets.utilitabowl.com and the Kia Oval's ticketing. Prices are set ground by ground, and there is no central ECB exchange.

Trent Bridge, first Test

Nottinghamshire members bought first, by tenure, on 3, 6 and 12 August 2026. A free ballot ran from 2 to 29 September, with a We Are England Cricket Supporters' window on 23 September; winners could buy from 6 October and the general sale opened on 14 October. General admission is sold out for days 1-4; what remains is in members-only areas, at one ticket per 2027 Nottinghamshire membership. Adult prices start at £90 on days 1-3 and £70 on day 4, both for Category 4 seats in the members' Pavilion, and day 5 costs £25.

Lord's, second Test

MCC sold public-stand tickets through a free open ballot on tickets.lords.org, with no card details needed. It closed at 6pm on Monday 26 October 2026, and each applicant can buy at most two tickets for one Ashes day. Inside Lord's Premium subscribers then get a first-come, first-served window from 30 October to 3 November, first-round winners buy from 17 November, unclaimed tickets go to a second round, and the general sale opens on 10 December. Adult tickets for days 1-4 cost £195 in Category A, £175 in B, £160 in C, £125 in D and £100 in E, which has a restricted view; day 5 is £25.

Edgbaston, third Test

Warwickshire members went first, from 3 September for the 1882 Full Club and then the other membership tiers, along with buyers of the September 2026 England v Pakistan Test. A free ballot ran from 2 to 29 September and winners could buy from 1 October. Days 1-4 sold out through the ballot, and returns go first to members and unsuccessful entrants. Day 5 is on sale at £25 plus a £2.50 booking fee.

Utilita Bowl and Kia Oval

At the Utilita Bowl, Hampshire members bought by tenure from 8 September and the Priority Club from 21 September; days 1-4 have been sold out since 13 October. The Kia Oval sells later: its free 2027 ballot closes on 15 November, results follow on 23 November, Surrey members renewing before 10 November get a priority window, and the general sale starts on 8 December, subject to availability.

England Cricket resale tickets: what to expect, stand by stand

On the resale market, the ground matters more than the day. The two London Tests, at the Kia Oval and Lord's, sit at the top of the series, with the Utilita Bowl next; Edgbaston and Trent Bridge are at the lower end. Within a Test, the fourth day often starts lower than the first three, most clearly at Trent Bridge and Lord's.

Listings use each ground's own stand names. At Lord's they usually start in the Mound Stand, with the Tavern, Grand, Edrich and Compton Stands above and the Allen Stand dearest; at Edgbaston, in the Stanley Barnes or Raglan stands, below the Eric Hollies and RES Wyatt stands. Trent Bridge listings use names and block codes such as William Clarke or SC, the Kia Oval numbered blocks and the General and Galadari stands, and the Utilita Bowl an alcohol-free section and the lower tier at mid-wicket.

Read the terms before you buy. Resale prices sit well above the grounds' own prices, so the official sales and ballots are the better-value route while they last. Where a ballot or general sale is still to come, as at Lord's and the Kia Oval, that is usually the cheaper route.

The five Ashes grounds: dates and venues

The 2027 series is played at five grounds, each listed here day by day:

  • First Test, Trent Bridge, Nottingham: Friday 18 June to Monday 21 June.
  • Second Test, Lord's, London: Wednesday 30 June to Saturday 3 July.
  • Third Test, Edgbaston, Birmingham: Thursday 8 July to Sunday 11 July.
  • Fourth Test, Utilita Bowl (the Rose Bowl), Southampton: Wednesday 21 July to Saturday 24 July.
  • Fifth Test, Kia Oval, London: Thursday 29 July to Sunday 1 August.

These are days 1-4 of each Test. Day 5 tickets are sold separately by the grounds, at £25 for adults at Trent Bridge, Lord's and Edgbaston, and they were still on sale at Trent Bridge, Edgbaston and the Utilita Bowl after days 1-4 had gone. Under-16s pay £5 on day 5 at both Lord's and Edgbaston.

Some areas are reserved for members. At Trent Bridge, the seats still available are in the Pavilion, Hound Road Lower and the centre of the Radcliffe Road Middle tier, all members-only; at Lord's, MCC members have their own Friends' Enclosures ballot.

Frequently asked questions

How much are England Cricket tickets?

Each ground sets its own prices. For the 2027 Ashes at Lord's, adult tickets for days 1-4 start at £100 in Category E, which has a restricted view, and £125 in Category D; at Trent Bridge, days 1-3 start at £90 and day 4 at £70. Day 5 costs £25 at Trent Bridge, Lord's and Edgbaston. Resale listings on Hellotickets start from £286.

Can I buy England Cricket tickets without a membership?

Yes. Every 2027 Ashes ground has run, or is running, a free public ballot open to all, and a general sale follows for whatever is left; members of the host county or MCC get earlier windows. The Lord's ballot closed at 6pm on 26 October 2026 and the Kia Oval's closes on 15 November, with general sales from 10 December and 8 December.

Is it hard to get England Cricket tickets?

For an Ashes series, yes. By 20 October 2026, days 1-4 had sold out at Edgbaston and the Utilita Bowl, and general admission had gone at Trent Bridge, where the remaining seats are for members only. The Lord's ballot closed on 26 October, but the Kia Oval's free ballot runs until 15 November, so entering it is the best chance of buying at face value.

When do Ashes 2027 tickets go on general sale?

It depends on the ground. Trent Bridge, Edgbaston and the Utilita Bowl opened their general sales on 14 October 2026, when days 1-4 were already sold out or close to it. The Kia Oval's general sale starts on 8 December and the Lord's general sale on 10 December, both after their ballots and member windows, and both subject to availability.

Can I buy resale tickets for England cricket?

Yes. Resale listings exist for the big days, and the grounds also run their own exchanges. The Kia Oval, Edgbaston and Emirates Old Trafford run official online ticket exchanges, and Edgbaston offers returns for its sold-out Ashes days to members and unsuccessful ballot entrants first. On Hellotickets, sellers set their own prices and the final price is shown before you pay.
