How to get Bayern Munich v Borussia Monchengladbach tickets

Most FC Bayern home tickets are requested by members and drawn by lot, and once a match is overbooked the request window shuts. That happened to Gladbach on 27 July. What remains is the club's official Ticket Exchange:

  • What it is: season and day-ticket holders who cannot attend resell their seats through the club, for home games only.
  • Who can buy: for most matches, members only, up to two tickets each for this game. The Exchange usually opens to all fans in match week at the latest.
  • What it costs: the day-ticket price (Bundesliga adult prices run from €15 to €80 by category) plus a 15% advance booking fee and a system fee of €5 for tickets worth up to €150, or €8 above that.
  • When it closes: 3 hours before kick-off.

Membership of FC Bayern München e.V. costs €65 a year for adults aged 26-64, plus a €3 joining fee, and is needed for the member phase. Tickets bought from the club cannot be returned.

If the Exchange has nothing when you look, resale seats are listed on Hellotickets. Sellers set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. Gladbach fans after away tickets should start with Borussia Monchengladbach tickets.

Where to sit at Allianz Arena

Resale listings here come in three kinds. Most are price categories, written 'Kat.' or 'Category' 1 to 4 and apparently matching FC Bayern's bands; they do not name a stand. 'Standing' listings are terrace places, which at league games are in the Südkurve (9,336, the home end) and the Nordkurve (4,006). The third kind is 'Business Seats & Sponsoren Seats', from the stadium's 2,152 business seats.

The stadium itself is a closed three-tier bowl of 75,024 for domestic games. The long sides house the 106 executive boxes between the middle and upper tiers, and the tiers get steeper as you go up, from about 24° to about 34°.

Gladbach supporters are given up to 10% of the capacity in 'Guest Team' blocks, usually 339-347 and 242-246, entering on the north-west side.
