Ashes tickets

England v Australia over five Tests in summer 2027: who sells each Test, which days are gone, and resale by ground.

Updated 5 Nov 2026

The 2027 Ashes brings Australia to England for five Tests, starting at Trent Bridge on Friday 18 June 2027 and finishing at the Kia Oval, where the fifth Test begins on Thursday 29 July 2027. There is no central box office: each ground sells its own Test, to its members first and then through a free public ballot, before any general sale.

Three grounds, Trent Bridge, Edgbaston and the Utilita Bowl, have already sold out general admission for days one to four. Lord's closed its ballot at 6pm on Monday 26 October 2026, and the Kia Oval's ballot stays open until 15 November.

Resale listings across the 20 Test days on this page start at £286.

How to get Ashes tickets

How Ashes tickets are sold

Every Ashes Test is sold by the ground that hosts it, on its own ticketing site. The order is broadly similar from one venue to the next, members before the public and a ballot before the general sale, but the timetables differ and the five grounds are at very different stages.

Trent Bridge, first Test

Nottinghamshire members bought first, in windows by tenure on 3, 6 and 12 August 2026. A free ballot ran from 2 to 29 September, with a window for We Are England Cricket Supporters on 23 September; winners could buy from 6 October and the general sale opened on 14 October. General admission for days one to four is now gone. A few seats remain in members-only areas (the Pavilion, Hound Road Lower and the centre of the Radcliffe Road Middle tier), one ticket per 2027 Nottinghamshire membership, and some day five tickets are still available.

Lord's, second Test

MCC sold public-stand seats through a free open ballot: no card details were needed and every entrant had an equal chance. It closed at 6pm on Monday 26 October 2026, and each applicant can buy at most two tickets for one day of the Test. Inside Lord's Premium subscribers were given a first-come, first-served window from 30 October to 3 November, with 500 pairs per Ashes day. First-round winners can buy from 17 November, unclaimed tickets go to a second round, and the general sale opens on 10 December. Premium seating and hospitality are not sold through the ballot, and MCC members have their own Friends' Enclosures ballot.

Edgbaston, third Test

Warwickshire members had the first windows, starting with 1882 Full Club members on 3 September and followed by Next Gen, B5 White Ball, Priority Club, Bears Pass and PHX Pass holders, alongside buyers of the September 2026 England v Pakistan Test. The free ballot ran from 2 to 29 September, winners bought from 1 October, and days one to four sold out. Any returns go first to club members and unsuccessful ballot entrants, and the club runs an online ticket exchange. Day five is on sale at £25 plus a £2.50 booking fee.

Utilita Bowl, fourth Test

Hampshire members were served by tenure from 8 September, then the Priority Club from 21 September, before ballot winners bought between 2 and 14 October. Days one to four had sold out by 13 October, so the general sale that followed offered only a small number of day five tickets. The transfer function in the Utilita Bowl app is the official way to pass a ticket on.

Kia Oval, fifth Test

Surrey's free 2027 ballot is open until 11.59pm on 15 November, and Surrey members who renew before 10 November get a priority window. Results are due on 23 November, winners can buy from 24 November, and a general sale, subject to availability, starts on 8 December.

Finals and big matches

A Test series has no final, but the five Tests do not draw the same demand. The two London Tests, at Lord's and the Kia Oval, were the last to run public ballots, and at the latest check their resale listings generally started higher than those for the other three grounds. The Oval stages the closing Test of the series, from Thursday 29 July 2027.

At the other end of the scale, the fourth day at Trent Bridge and the Edgbaston days started lower on the resale market. Day five of each Test is not in the table: where it is still on sale, the ground sells it directly, at £25 for an adult at Trent Bridge, Lord's and Edgbaston.

If you can choose your day, the official routes still open are worth trying first. Entering the Oval ballot costs nothing until 15 November, Lord's opens its general sale on 10 December, and both grounds charge their own prices, which are usually below resale.

Resale prices by match

Each row of the table is one day of one Test, with the lowest resale listing seen on Hellotickets. Across the 20 days listed, prices start at £286.

Zone names follow each ground's own stands, so check them against the ground's seating map before you buy: the Mound, Grand, Edrich and Compton Stands at Lord's; the Eric Hollies, Raglan, Stanley Barnes and RES Wyatt Stands at Edgbaston; the William Clarke and Acrisure Stands at Trent Bridge, where some listings only give a block code. At the Oval, older listings may still call the SSE Energy Solutions Stand by its former name, the Galadari Stand.

Sellers set their own prices, which can sit far above the ground's face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. Check each listing's delivery terms. Hellotickets says tickets are sent "as soon as we receive them from the seller — sometimes up to 1–2 days before the event".

Frequently asked questions

How to get tickets for the Ashes 2027?

Go to the ground hosting the Test you want: each sells its own tickets, to members first, then through a free public ballot, then on general sale. Trent Bridge, Edgbaston and the Utilita Bowl have sold out general admission for days one to four. The Lord's ballot closed at 6pm on Monday 26 October 2026, ahead of a general sale on 10 December, and the Kia Oval takes entries until 15 November. Otherwise, compare the resale listings on Hellotickets, where sellers set their own prices.

Where are the Ashes tests in 2027?

The five Tests are at Trent Bridge in Nottingham from Friday 18 June 2027, Lord's in London from Wednesday 30 June, Edgbaston in Birmingham from Thursday 8 July, the Utilita Bowl near Southampton from Wednesday 21 July and the Kia Oval in London from Thursday 29 July. Each ground runs its own sale, so the dates for members' windows, ballots and general sale differ from one Test to the next.

When can you buy Ashes tickets?

It depends on the ground. The Lord's ballot closed at 6pm on Monday 26 October 2026; first-round winners buy from 17 November and the general sale opens on 10 December. The Kia Oval ballot closes on 15 November, winners buy from 24 November and any general sale starts on 8 December. Trent Bridge, Edgbaston and the Utilita Bowl opened their general sales on 14 October, with days one to four already gone.

How much were Ashes tickets?

Face values vary by ground and day. At Lord's, adult seats for days one to four start at £100 in category E, which has a restricted view, and day five costs £25. At Trent Bridge, the seats left in members' areas start at £90 for days one to three and £70 for day four. Edgbaston sells day five at £25 plus a £2.50 booking fee. On the resale market, listings start at £286.

How much do tickets cost for the Edgbaston Ashes Test in 2027?

Days one to four of the Edgbaston Test sold out through the ballot, and any returns go first to Warwickshire members and unsuccessful ballot entrants. Day five is on sale in every stand at £25 plus a £2.50 booking fee, with under-16s at £5. Resale listings for the first four days cover stands such as the Eric Hollies, Raglan and Stanley Barnes; sellers set their own prices and the final price is shown before you pay.
