Scottish Gas Murrayfield, about two miles west of Edinburgh city centre, is Scotland's national rugby stadium and the largest stadium in the country. It was previously BT Murrayfield, and most fans simply call it Murrayfield.
Scottish Rugby sells Scotland's home Tests through its Online Ticket Centre and releases them in batches, because clubs, debenture holders and visiting unions have prior access. Scotland Supporters Club members, who pay £50 (Matchday) or £75 (Plus) as new members, get a pre-sale, usually the day before the general sale.
The table below covers 6 Murrayfield fixtures, and the lowest resale listing on Hellotickets across them is £61 (checked 5 Nov 2026).
Next Test at Murrayfield: Scotland v New Zealand - Nations Championship 2026 on Saturday 7 November.
November's Nations Championship is split. Scotland v New Zealand on Saturday 7 November is sold out, with only VIP and hospitality packages left, while Australia on Sunday 15 November and Japan on Saturday 21 November are on sale as single tickets or as a two-match package. The 2027 Six Nations home games against Italy, Wales and Ireland are not on sale yet: Scottish Rugby will confirm the dates later in the year, with the Supporters Club pre-sale first.

Murrayfield on matchday: stands, tram and hospitality
Seating plan and stands
Scottish Gas Murrayfield holds 67,144, all seated, in four stands, one on each side of the pitch:
- West Stand: the main stand, under a 48-metre cantilever roof. The team bus arrives on this side, the West Fan Village sits behind it, and the Changing Places toilet is on its ground floor.
- East Stand: opposite, split into lower and upper tiers; at concerts its concourse has a parenting room.
- North Stand: opened in 1993 at the north end, with Guinness Corner behind it on match days. For concerts the stage is built at this end.
- South Stand: opened the same year at the south end, facing the North Stand. At concerts the wheelchair viewing platforms are in front of it.
Resale listings name a stand and a level, such as Lower North or Upper West, or give block codes such as N4, S5 and W9. Listings labelled only Lower Tier or Upper Tier do not say which stand they are in, so open the details before you pay.
For concerts the pitch becomes a standing area. Under-14s are not allowed on it, and 14- and 15-year-olds must be with an adult. Edinburgh Rugby normally play next door at the 7,800-capacity Hive Stadium, with some big games at Murrayfield. Our Murrayfield seating plan shows the layout stand by stand.
Getting there
There is no public parking, and roads around the stadium close from three hours before kick-off until four hours after, so plan on public transport:
- Tram: the Murrayfield Stadium stop is right next to the Roseburn Street entrance, with trams from Edinburgh Airport, Ingliston Park and Ride, Edinburgh Gateway, Edinburgh Park, Haymarket and St Andrew Square, near Waverley. Buy your ticket before you board.
- Train: Haymarket is the closest station, a mile east of the stadium and about a 15-minute walk.
- Bus: Lothian services 12, 26 and 31 and the Airlink 100 run to Corstorphine Road; the park and ride buses X12 from Ingliston and 25 from Hermiston also serve the ground.
- On foot: the “Rugby Walk” leads from the city centre via Haymarket and Roseburn in about 45 minutes.
Tram queues are longest straight after the final whistle, so Scottish Rugby suggests staying on in the Fan Village for 30 to 45 minutes. Turnstiles open three hours before kick-off. Scotland match tickets are delivered only through the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App on your phone, while concert tickets are mobile tickets in the ticket agent's app.
Bags can be no bigger than A4 (21 cm x 30 cm) and are searched before entry; larger ones are allowed only for medical or childcare needs, and there is no bag drop. Food, drink and merchandise outlets take card or contactless only, apart from a limited number of cash units at concerts, and there are no cash machines on site.
Hospitality
Scottish Rugby sells matchday hospitality as The Murrayfield Experience. For the 2027 Six Nations these packages are already on sale, along with Scottish Rugby Travel packages, before any match ticket is released, and for Scotland v New Zealand VIP and hospitality packages are the only official option left.
The stadium's offer runs from private suites to shared lounges and fine dining, with spaces including Suite 1925, the Rooms, the Murrayfield Boxes, the Thistle Suite, the Centenary Club, The Clubhouse, Terrace 22 and The Village.
