Silverstone Circuit lies on the Northamptonshire-Buckinghamshire border, near the villages of Silverstone and Whittlebury, about 5 miles from Towcester; Milton Keynes is the nearest city. Owned by the British Racing Drivers' Club and in use since 1948, it hosts the British rounds of Formula 1 and MotoGP, and the Formula 1 British Grand Prix returns from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 July 2027.
Silverstone sells race tickets itself. Its general sale has been open since 24 September 2026, after priority windows for Silverstone Racing Club members, American Express Card Members and Official Camping and Glamping bookers. Adult General Admission costs from £109 on Friday, £179 on Saturday and £289 on race day, or £349 for the 3-day pass; the Thursday evening ticket, the George Russell Grandstand and several Prime View grandstands are already sold out.
On Hellotickets, resale passes and seats for the race week begin at £128 (checked 5 Nov 2026).
First date: Robbie Williams on Thursday 1 July.
Robbie Williams opens the race week with a concert on the Thursday evening. Ticketmaster UK showed it as sold out on 20 October, with only its own resale tickets, when any are listed.

Seating plan and stands
A circuit has no stands in the football sense. You first pick a ticket type, then, for a seat, one of more than 20 grandstands around the lap:
- General Admission: unreserved, with giant screens and viewing areas at Village, Luffield, Becketts, Chapel and the Hangar Straight.
- General Admission Plus: a reserved standing place at Abbey, Copse A, Copse C, Luffield or Vale.
- Grandstand: the same reserved seat from Friday to Sunday, with General Admission access and that day's evening concert included.
- Enclosures: BOXPARK, with the Hangar and The Loop grandstands, or the family-friendly Wellington Enclosure on the Wellington Straight. An Inner Track add-on gives access near the paddock.
From the start line, Hamilton Straight A and B face the pit straight, named after Lewis Hamilton in 2020, which leads into Abbey (Turn 1) and its A and B stands. Village A and B overlook Turn 3, just before The Loop; Luffield and Luffield Corner sit on the long right-hander after Brooklands; Woodcote A, B and C and National Pit Straight line Turn 8 and the old pit straight; Copse A to D watch Turn 9; Becketts and Chapel face the Maggotts-Becketts-Chapel sequence into the Hangar Straight; and Club A, Club Corner, Vale and Stirling A and B are among the others.
Cover is worth checking. The covered grandstands are Abbey B, Village B, Luffield, Luffield Corner, Woodcote A and B, National Pit Straight, Stirling B, Copse A to C, Becketts, Club Corner and Hamilton Straight A; every other one is open, and Silverstone notes that even covered stands can be exposed to wind and rain. Prime View, new for 2027, means the first three rows at Abbey A and B, Club Corner and Hamilton Straight A and B.
Under-2s go free but need a ticket and sit on a lap in grandstands. Under-11s get in free on Friday, pay half for Saturday, Sunday and weekend General Admission, and get 25% off in selected grandstands, including Woodcote B, National Pit Straight, Copse A to C, Stirling A and Vale, with two child tickets at most per paying adult.
Resale labels such as Grandstand or Straight A do not always name the stand.
Getting there
Silverstone is off the A43, and shuttles, Park & Ride and parking all have to be booked in advance:
- Train and shuttle: official buses from Milton Keynes (about 50 minutes), Northampton (about 40), Banbury and Oxford Parkway (about 50 each) and Coventry (about 80) stations, at £8 per person per day return. They stop two minutes from the Abbey and Brooklands entrances.
- Town shuttles: from Towcester (about 15 minutes), Buckingham (20), Brackley (25), Bicester and Northampton (40). Bus tickets do not include parking.
- Park & Ride: from Sixfields, Hinton and Bicester, at £8 per person per day plus a £10 vehicle pass.
- Coach: National Express and Megabus run official services from UK cities, dropping a few minutes' walk from the Luffield Entrance.
- Car: parking is very limited, and many car parks are on grass up to a 30-minute walk from the main gates, so Silverstone advises allowing at least an extra hour. There is no drop-off at the circuit; locals can use the point at Towcester Racecourse with a pre-booked bus. Motorbike parking is free.
To stay on site, Woodcote Fields takes tents and live-in vehicles under a 10-minute walk away, from £480 a pitch; Abbey Meadows costs £930 a pitch with electric hook-up; and Glamping at The Ridings starts at £275 per person per night, breakfast included.
Tickets arrive in the Silverstone Tickets app closer to the event; the QR code is live, so a screenshot will not scan. Bring one bag of 20 litres at most; bags are searched at entry and there is no luggage storage on site. You may carry your own food and soft drinks, but not alcohol or glass, and BBQs, tents and shelters, sun parasols, step ladders, drones, e-scooters and fancy dress are refused.
Hospitality
Hospitality is booked on Silverstone's own hospitality site and starts at £419. It went on sale to all fans on 10 September 2026, after a 48-hour American Express presale from 8 September.
The packages include Racing Green, with grandstand views over the Wellington Straight, Aintree, The Loop and Village. For the weekend, a 2-day Saturday-Sunday ticket in the Inside Nine enclosure, with food included, costs from £759; Silverstone sells no 2-day General Admission ticket. NOVA Glamping, inside the circuit next to the F1 paddock, includes Inner Track access from £337.50 per person per night.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a ticket to go to Silverstone?
For the 2027 British Grand Prix, adult General Admission costs from £80 on Thursday, £109 on Friday, £179 on Saturday and £289 on race day, or £349 for the 3-day pass and £379 for all four days. Grandstand seats start at £129 on Friday and hospitality at £419. Under-11s go free on Friday and half price on Saturday, Sunday and weekend General Admission.
How hard is it to get Silverstone tickets?
Silverstone sells to the general public, so no membership is needed: its general sale opened on 24 September 2026, and General Admission and grandstand seats were on sale on 20 October. What has already gone is the Thursday evening ticket, the George Russell Grandstand and several Prime View grandstands, including Hamilton Straight A Prime View.
How to get cheaper Silverstone tickets?
Buy from Silverstone and choose the day or pass with care: Friday General Admission starts at £109, and the 3-day pass at £349 costs less than separate Friday, Saturday and Sunday tickets. Under-11s are free on Friday, half price on other General Admission tickets and 25% off in selected grandstands.
Can you resell Silverstone F1 tickets?
Silverstone's own route is a transfer to friends and family through the Silverstone Tickets app, so that is the place to start if you can no longer go to the race. Resale listings on Hellotickets are priced by their sellers.
Which grandstands are covered at Silverstone?
Abbey B, Village B, Luffield, Luffield Corner, Woodcote A and B, National Pit Straight, Stirling B, Copse A to C, Becketts, Club Corner and Hamilton Straight A are covered; every other grandstand is open. Silverstone points out that covered stands can still be exposed to wind and rain, so a waterproof is worth packing either way.
How do I get to Silverstone by train?
Take a train to Milton Keynes, Northampton, Banbury, Oxford Parkway or Coventry, then an official shuttle bus to the circuit. The rides take from about 40 minutes from Northampton to about 80 from Coventry and cost £8 per person per day return, booked in advance. The buses drop you two minutes from the Abbey and Brooklands entrances.
