The price table shows the opening practice day, Sunday 11 July, where listings start at £148.

Every other day has its own row in the dates list. The Championship Days, Thursday to Sunday, are listed well above the practice days, mirroring the gap in face values, and the final Sunday sits at the top of the official price list.

Dates and venues

The 155th Open is played at St Andrews from Sunday 11 to Sunday 18 July 2027: four practice days, then the four Championship Days from Thursday 15 July. General admission is sold out at the official seller: The R&A allocated tickets through a free One Club ballot that closed at 3pm on 24 July 2026, and there are no gate sales.

Resale listings on Hellotickets for the opening practice day, Sunday 11 July, start at £148.

The R&A plans its own face-value Ticket Resale Platform for One Club members in 2027, which will be the official way to pick up a spare ticket.

All eight days are at St Andrews. The practice days are Sunday 11, Monday 12, Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 July 2027; the Championship Days run from Thursday 15 July to the final day on Sunday 18 July.

The two halves of the week are priced and sold very differently. Practice days have the lowest face values and, at the last official check, still had Ticket Plus on sale from Monday to Wednesday. The R&A describes the Championship Days as heavily oversubscribed.

How tickets are sold (official route) and resale

General admission for The Open is sold only through The R&A's ballot:

  1. Join One Club. Membership is free, and the ballot is open to One Club members only.
  2. Enter the ballot. For The 155th Open it ran from 6 to 24 July 2026, closing at 3pm UK time, and results were released in waves through August and September 2026.
  3. Pay face value if successful. Adult general admission costs between £40 and £70 a day for the practice days, then £150 on Thursday and Friday, £170 on Saturday and £190 on Sunday 18 July. Youth tickets (16-24) are half the adult price, and under-16s go free with a paying adult.

Ticket Plus (a ticket with access to a private area), hospitality and the packages that combine a ticket with accommodation are sold separately by The Open Experiences. Ticket Plus is sold out on the Championship Days but was still on sale for the practice days at the last official check, and on 5 November the Premium hospitality packages were shown as sold out.

From 2027, The R&A will run a face-value Ticket Resale Platform for One Club members; its launch date has not been published. Until then, seats listed on Hellotickets come from sellers who set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. Good to know

  • Join One ClubOne Club membership is free and is needed both for The R&A's ballot and for its face-value Ticket Resale Platform, which is due to launch in 2027.
  • No sales at the gateThe R&A does not sell tickets at the gate, so do not travel to St Andrews hoping to buy one on the day: every ticket is sold in advance.
  • Young fans pay lessUnder-16s go free with a paying adult, and 16-24s pay half the adult face value, so check who in your group qualifies before you buy.
  • Resale tickets can arrive lateHellotickets sends tickets as soon as it receives them from the seller, sometimes up to 1–2 days before the event, so keep your order confirmation to hand.

Where to sit

At The Open you choose a day rather than a seat. A general admission ticket is for one day, Ticket Plus adds access to a private area, and hospitality is a separate package from The Open Experiences.

On Hellotickets, each day is listed under a single category, "Standard Ticket", so the choice is between days. Check the listing for exactly what the ticket includes before you pay. If you want to watch the championship itself, the Championship Days are the ones to target; for a lower face value, the practice days from Sunday 11 to Wednesday 14 July are the alternative.

Directions

Frequently asked questions

How do I access The Open tickets?

Through The R&A's One Club, which is free to join. General admission for The 155th Open was allocated by a ballot that ran from 6 to 24 July 2026, with results released through August and September. The Open Experiences sells Ticket Plus, hospitality and ticket-and-accommodation packages, and The R&A will launch a face-value resale platform for One Club members in 2027.

How much are tickets for The Open 2027?

At face value, adult general admission costs £40 on Sunday 11 July, £50 on Monday 12, £60 on Tuesday 13 and £70 on Wednesday 14, then £150 on Thursday 15 and Friday 16, £170 on Saturday 17 and £190 on Sunday 18 July 2027. Youth tickets (16-24) are half price and under-16s go free with a paying adult.

Is The Open 2027 sold out?

At The R&A, yes: general admission is sold out at the official seller after the ballot closed on 24 July 2026, and there are no gate sales. Ticket Plus has sold out on the Championship Days, and the Premium hospitality packages were sold out on 5 November. The R&A's face-value Ticket Resale Platform for One Club members is due to launch in 2027.

When is The Open 2027?

The 155th Open runs at St Andrews from Sunday 11 to Sunday 18 July 2027. The first four days, Sunday 11 to Wednesday 14 July, are practice days, and the Championship Days run from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 July.

Can you buy Open tickets at the gate?

No. The R&A says there are no gate sales for The Open, so every ticket has to be bought in advance: through the One Club ballot, which has closed for 2027, through The Open Experiences for Ticket Plus and hospitality, or on the resale market, where the final price is shown before you pay.
