Dates and venues

The 2026/27 Champions League final will be played at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, Atlético de Madrid's ground, on Saturday 5 June 2027. UEFA runs the ticketing for the final itself and has not opened applications for Madrid yet; the two finalists will only be known once the semi-finals are over.

Going by UEFA's last final, in Budapest, the most affordable seats go to the finalists' supporters through their clubs, while neutral fans apply to a public lottery on UEFA.com.

UEFA has scheduled the final for Saturday 5 June 2027 at the Estadio Metropolitano, the name it uses for the stadium Atlético call the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. Some listings still carry its earlier names, Wanda Metropolitano or Cívitas Metropolitano.

The ground stands on the north-east edge of Madrid, near the airport and the IFEMA trade fair grounds, rather than in the city centre. UEFA has not announced a kick-off time yet, and UK broadcasters confirm their coverage of the final nearer the date.

How tickets are sold (official route) and resale

UEFA publishes the ticket arrangements for each final on UEFA.com, and those for Madrid are not out yet. For the 2026 final in Budapest, tickets came through four routes:

  1. The finalists' allocations. Each club received a block of tickets to sell to its own supporters, including the most affordable categories, 'Fans First' and Category 3. Those sales can only start once the semi-finals have been played.
  2. UEFA's public lottery. Fans applied on UEFA.com during an application window. Tickets were drawn by lottery rather than sold first come, first served, and each successful applicant could buy two at most.
  3. Hospitality. UEFA sold hospitality packages through its own website.
  4. Face-value resale. Ticket holders who could not attend could resell at face value on UEFA's own resale platform.

UEFA has not said whether the Madrid sale will follow the same pattern, so read its terms when they appear. If you miss out, the other route is the resale market: seats listed on Hellotickets come from sellers who set their own prices, which can be above face value, and the final price is shown before you pay. Check how each seller will deliver.

Good to know

  • Apply on UEFA.com onlyUEFA ran the public sale for the 2026 final on UEFA.com alone, as a lottery after an application window, so applying on the first day gave no advantage.
  • Watch your club after the semi-finalsIf your club reaches Madrid, its allocation is where the most affordable categories are sold. Each club decides who can buy, so follow its ticket news closely.
  • Allow time to cross MadridThe stadium is on the north-east edge of the city, not in the centre. Metro Line 7 has a station, Estadio Metropolitano, right beside the ground.
  • Resale delivery can be lateHellotickets says tickets "are sent as soon as we receive them from the seller — sometimes up to 1–2 days before the event", so keep your order details to hand.

Where to sit

The Metropolitano has four sides. The Lateral Oeste (west) and Lateral Este (east) run along the touchlines, with the VIP lounges reached from the middle tier on the west side, while the Fondo Norte and Fondo Sur sit behind the goals. Each side has a lower, middle and upper tier (grada baja, media and alta), and the roof covers most of the seats.

UEFA sells the final in price categories, and the finalists' allocations go to each club's own supporters. On Hellotickets, 'Fondo' or 'Shortside' listings are behind a goal, 'Lateral' or 'Longside' listings face the pitch from a touchline, and 'Central' means close to halfway. Compare the block on a listing with the stadium plan before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

How much do Champions League final tickets cost?

UEFA has not published prices for the 2027 final in Madrid yet. For the 2026 final it sold seats in price categories, with the most affordable, 'Fans First' and Category 3, offered to the two finalists' supporters. Sellers set their own prices and the final price is shown before you pay.

Where is the Champions League Final being held?

The 2026/27 final is at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, the home of Atlético de Madrid, who call it the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. UEFA has scheduled it for Saturday 5 June 2027. The stadium is on the north-east side of the city near the airport, and Metro Line 7 has a station right beside it.

How much is the price for the UEFA Champions League?

It depends on the match. League-phase and knockout games are sold by the home club at its own prices, while UEFA sets the categories and prices for the final and runs that sale itself. On the resale market, prices vary by fixture and by area of the stadium, because sellers set their own.

How do I get tickets for the Champions League final?

Through UEFA, in two main ways: your club's allocation if it reaches the final, sold to its supporters after the semi-finals, or UEFA's public lottery on UEFA.com, where each successful applicant for the 2026 final could buy two tickets at most. UEFA also sells hospitality packages. Otherwise, resale listings appear on Hellotickets, where sellers set their own prices.

When do Champions League final tickets go on sale?

UEFA has not announced the sale dates for the Madrid final. For the 2026 final, applications to the public lottery closed in March, weeks before the semi-finals, and the two finalists sold their own allocations once they had qualified. Watch UEFA.com for the 2027 application window.

Can I resell a Champions League final ticket?

For the 2026 final, UEFA let ticket holders who could not attend resell at face value through its own resale platform. Its terms are set for each final. On Hellotickets, sellers set their own prices and, in Hellotickets' words, "Every ticket is authenticated."
